I had the pleasure of experiencing a custom 90 minute massage with Saige. I cannot say enough great things about my time with her! Saige is natural healer. By the end of our session I could tell she truly listened to not only my words, but my body. I cannot wait to see her again (with an additional 30 minutes). read more

I had such a great first visit at Heal Pgh! ‍ From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The waiting area is beautiful, clean, and modern, and I was completely comfortable. And my first massage was AMAZING! It was exactly what I needed and left me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I'll definitely be returning! A special shout-out to "B" -- you were awesome! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! read more

Absolute best massage ever!!! I was lucky enough to get 2 appointments for my husband and I on the same day for the same time. They are located on the North Side in Manchester and I will say, it is kind of a weird location - amongst warehouses and office buildings. There is free street parking right outside of the building! You go into the building and take the elevator to the fifth floor - it is kind of unassuming. However, when you walk in, you will be transported! It is a beautiful and relaxing space. My massage was incredible and the therapist actually listened to what I was looking for. It is a huge space and they offer many different services like sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy, etc. Overall, will absolutely be back! read more

This is our second time doing community acupuncture - our first time at the new location - and it's beautiful. The new space is so open and peaceful. Kai is great, he has such a calming presence and makes you feel comfortable and able to fully immerse yourself in the experience. I have been a customer of this business for about three years now - for both acupuncture and massage. The space is beautiful and relaxing. You feel relaxed the minute you walk in the door. The staff is prompt in greeting you and very courteous. They get you settled in right away and I've never waited more than a few minutes to get placed in the room. Amy, Ian and all staff are the best at what they do - I highly recommend them. read more

I have been to a number of massage centers in Pittsburgh but nothing really comes close to Heal PGH. It is by far one of the best spa-clinics I have ever been to. I go fairly regularly and have only had fantastic massage sessions there. I frequently work with CJ Bal, who is an amazing yet kind person. Unlike other places, if you request a 60-minute session, you get the full time. My massages never felt rushed and she listens to my concerns. I typically get a custom massage or the one-hour reflexology session, and they never disappoint. The staff are all very pleasant and the space is much bigger since they moved. Parking is easy. I really appreciate CJ. I am a huge fan of this wellness center. I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for self-care services. read more

In town on business. I'm two weeks out from IPL North Americans Powerlifting Championship and had a huge, deep knot in my left rhomboid. Massage for me is not a luxury; it's a necessity. I got a massage last week that did absolutely nothing to help me. I was at a loss. Finding myself with a little extra time Sunday afternoon, I scheduled an appointment to see Patapon Tongdee. He is amazing!! I booked 40 minutes and after a brief "interview" he got straight to work. Not only did he work "on" the knot but other areas he felt would be contributing to my pain and numbness. I felt good yesterday. I felt amazing today - and was not able to do my heavy bench work but pull-ups too, without pain. I am positively thrilled. I only wish I were going to be in the area more consistently because I would (and will) make an appointment each time I'm in town. read more

Staff is so nice and accommodating. Ian was my massage therapist, and he was so pleasant and knowledgeable. He really took time to help educate me on things I can do at home to help with relief. I asked for a deep massage to help relieve tension and knots and the massage was excellent, all my knots were worked out. The facility itself is very clean, warm, and welcoming. Prices are also very reasonable. read more

Heal PGH is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh. The therapist and range of services for holistic healing and therapy have saved the day in working out stress, tension, and knots. I am very grateful to have found Heal PGH for massage and acupuncture therapy! read more

I came here with my partner for my first ever deep tissue massage and acupuncture session. I really appreciate that we could both get our massages and acupuncture done at the same time as this allowed us to save time and have a shared experience. The smell and ambiance of the rooms, with the glowing rocks, electric candles & relaxing music, made it easier for us to relax and feel temporarily free from the sometimes frantic nature of life. I also enjoyed the very well designed paper advertisements (that person should get a raise) and like that CBD oil is being advertised with the massages. I received my deep tissue massage from Ian who was very professional and pleasant during the entire session. He applied the perfect amount of pressure that was needed to release the tightness in my neck and back. It was clear to me that he knew what he was doing as I could no longer feel much the tension that I generally do in those muscles. We both left feeling that they were happy to have us and felt very welcome to come back in the future. read more

Ian did a wonderful job on my massage! Already made a return appointment to see him again. I would whole heartedly recommend seeing him for a stellar massage. read more

It was really challenging to find a place I feel comfortable and safe for a massage during the pandemic. They do a good job communicating their policies and practices so I know what to expect. I appreciate the cleanliness and protocols. I have tried both CBD and regular massage sessions, each time with a specific need to address pain areas. Charles is really good with understanding the needs. The sessions relived the stress and pain I had. I just wish I could afford to do it more often. read more

I found Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massageworks almost 2 years ago and I've been a regular client ever since. I've had massages, cupping and acupuncture. The staff is welcoming, highly skilled and passionate at what they do. I'm grateful I found them because I needed to focus on better self care following some traumatic life events. The services here (along with therapy) really made me feel like I got my life back on a healthy track. As someone who still has a lot of stress and tension in everyday life, every visit here leaves me feeling totally relaxed, pain-free and ready to conquer life's challenges. Also, after running a marathon in December 2019, I threw out my back and had painful muscle strains. Ian literally made me feel like a new person after one visit. I give my highest recommendation - thanks so much! read more

I've gotten 2 massages done here (60 minutes and 90 minutes), and one Acupuncture session. The staff here is absolutely fantastic and every person I've interacted with has been wonderful. Scheduling is a breeze and can be done all online, and they're extremely careful with COVID precautions (patients must wash hands prior to massage, masks on, strong air purifiers in every room) My massages (a few months apart) were done to address some upper back pain. From start to finish, the staff did an excellent job listening to my issues, gaining an understanding of my history and what I've done for relief. They gave me pointers and exercises to follow to address the upper back pain for the future. The entire massage was something out of this world - having sore and tight muscles that have been causing problems for months to suddenly be addressed, stretched, massaged, is something else. I honestly don't know how they do it but to pinpoint specific muscle fibers and knead/stretch them, is amazing to say the least. Amy performed my acupuncture session. Walking in, I had no idea what to expect but she put my mind at ease by explaining the process and what acupuncture serves to achieve. Again, this was used to address some upper back pain/trouble sleeping at night. Like the massage therapists, she listened to my history, what I've tried, what my daily schedule looks like, what causes additional, less pain, etc. She started around my shoulders and then moved to my upper back. The process is very much a back and forth between you and the acupuncturist - they'll feel around for trigger points and you let them know when they've found one. Once one has been found, she'll use a very thin needle to address that point. The feeling of that happening is wild, in a good way, all it feels like is there's a bird over your trigger point flapping it's wings. The first couple she hit around my shoulder immediately dropped my pulled-forward shoulder back into place. I was sore the next day, as she mentioned would happen, but the next few days I noticed a definite improvement - much more reduced neck pain, the upper back feels less tense during the day, and my shoulder doesn't feel out of alignment! She provided me with a list of exercises to do throughout the day to also help strengthen my back muscles. If you've never had a professional massage done, or acupuncture, I absolutely cannot recommend it enough, but definitely make sure it's done by anyone at Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massageworks! Everyone here is absolutely excellent and you can tell they take an immense about of pride in what they do and it defintiely shows - they sincerely care about seeing you get better! read more

I've finally found my go to massage spot! I was recommended to go here by my work, and this was the best decision I've ever made. Kalene and Patapon are the absolute best. The level of care and detail that they put into their work really sets them apart. The variety of different services that they offer too is by far what makes them my favorite place. The overall environment is so comforting, relaxing, peaceful too. Can't wait to come back! read more

I suffer from severe neck/shoulder pain. To try to conquer this pain, I booked an appointment with Amy Green for acupuncture. She asked me questions some doctors don't even ask, that you don't even think about. After a thorough consultation, we began the acupuncture. We did the local acupuncture first. With my severe pain this process wasn't painful, but it was intense, and only because it feels like you are releasing every and any negative/ painful thing in your body at once. THEN, she put a few needles in some trigger points across my body and left me to relax for about 25-30 mins. I then, once again got an amazing massage from Iva, who is just the best! I left the spa SORE. When I woke up the next day I felt immobile. Then the day after that, I never felt this good in my life. No exaggeration. I can turn my neck, I have more energy, and sleeping like a baby. I will be purchasing a package for acupuncture. It's magical. read more

I've been to Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massageworks twice now, and I love it! I recently saw their new massage therapist, Chelsea, for my birthday. It was a lovely experience. Chelsea was welcoming and skillful! She was an excellent communicator and made me feel comfortable asking for more or less pressure. She knew when to chat and when to let the conversation ease out without it being awkward - which is an amazing quality to have! Both of my experiences here have been positive. I definitely would return! read more

I have been a client at Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massageworks since 2017, receiving sport & recovery massages from Ian and Charles. Both professionals are skilled, thorough, and accommodating to the goals of their clients. As a competitive road runner, the folks at this clinic have helped prepare me for the Boston, Chicago, and Berlin Marathons as well as countless other local running events and all the little aches and pains that come from running and strength training. Scheduling is easy, the appointment reminders are so helpful, the clinic is extremely clean and relaxing, and the sessions are always a wonderful experience. I have neuropathy and a few dietary issues that have developed in the past two years, and have had success with acupuncture in the past -- though granted, it had been years since I had it done, but was ready to give it another try starting in the early fall of 2021. Amy was nice, listened to my issues first session, made recommendations and was attentive, explaining everything she was doing and why as she worked. Unfortunately, my two appointments after that were not as positive. Left for 20 minutes at least on a table while my muscles were twitching from attached electrodes was far from relaxing, and when Amy did come back into the room to check on me, I felt very clearly that I was being sandwiched in between other clients, felt rushed. I get that I'm not the only client, but won't be returning there. read more

This was a week of self care for me; we all need and deserve it sometimes and I am very thankful for Charles being available to help me on short notice. It has been three years since my last massage and I have allowed pain and stress to overtake much of my life lately. Working from home, less exercise, more sitting has wreaked havoc on my shoulders and my body, truly. After seeing a chiropractor I knew a massage was well deserved. I booked a 90-minute session with Charles and upon meeting we spoke about my pain, biggest complaints, pressure and goals before we started. I explained I was completely okay if he needed to spend more time on my shoulders than anywhere else and could just forget my lower body if need be; that is just what he did (he didn't really forget, of course). I cannot believe how much I needed him! He made sure the knots knew they didn't belong in my shoulders, back or neck and he worked and worked on them until the bitter end. Had I have another 30 minutes, I am confident I could have used more time in my shoulders. Let me just say, I am standing taller and happier today and I can honestly say I am not as sore as usual post-massage although I had a much deeper and longer massage than I have in the past; a testament to him knowing what he needed to do. His 11 years of experience speaks for itself. Oh, and let me just say, the hot towel under my neck and around my feet at the end... whoa, nice touch! I kept thinking of how I could save enough money for a monthly massage because, well, I deserve it and need it, and he is awesome. I will NOT stay away for long and I can't wait to go back. The office is lovely! It is clean, warm, calming and welcoming. There are air purifiers in every space and they are taking specific precautions during these times. I mentioned the sheets were a little hard to breath through so he brought the purifier closer which allowed more air flow and I could breath much easier. I felt safe and comfortable, even in my mask. Needless to say, I highly recommend Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massageworks and can't wait to visit again. I am also considering acupuncture, too, so they won't get rid of me anytime soon. read more

I have been having a very hard time with a nerve problem in my leg and Amy and the rest of her amazing cupping and massage therapists were not only able to treat the problem but really focus on the underlying issues in my back. I can't thank everyone there for really going beyond just treatment, but also evaluation, dedication and really seeking to find the cause of my nerve problem. Thank you Amy and everyone at Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massage Therapy! read more

I love Ginger! I felt nervous about the idea of dressing down for my body ritual/massage, but she always made sure that I was never completely exposed and kept me covered except for areas she was working with! I was curious about the caffeine content of the tea she served and although she didn't have to, she went out of her way to find out for me! And the service itself she provided, I was just totally loose, relax, and warm! I felt so good! Definitely will book again when I need to de-stress and have some self care! read more

Experienced and professional staff will walk you through your first experience with acupuncture or massage. Amy uses cupping, gua sha, and CBD salve in addition to acupuncture techniques to ease pains and blockages. I left feeling immediately better and more relaxed. After 2 appointments my shoulder feels so much better! I also did massage with Iva, who has a profound knowledge of the muscular system and used trigger points to ease pain and also give me a relaxing and calming experience. I love their lobby, they always have scented water to drink and provide spa shoes. The calming meditation music is piped into all the rooms, even the restroom. I find the experience at Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massage to be first rate. read more

Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massageworks is the best! I suffer from migraines & have been curious about using CBD oils as a possible treatment. I tried my hand at CBD research online & that quickly turned into a migraine-inducing experience itself. There was some chatter about CBDs on a local social media group that I'm a part of & Amy popped on to share info on what she's discovered in HER meticulous research. I contacted her because I had questions & she happily set us up for a (free) consultation. Amy is fantastic - professionally down-to-earth, receptive to my needs & very knowledgeable. She answered all I wanted to know, shared with me the best ways to go about finding my proper dosage & didn't try to sell me on anything extraneous. I'm all in now & needless to say, both the frequency of my migraines, as well as their strength have decreased immensely! I've even gotten other family members on the CBD kick for their own reasons (anxiety, insomnia, lack of focus, etc.) I'm feeling so much better & all thanks to Amy & her helpful staff. She only carries well-researched, high-quality CBD products - not the random junk you find at convenience stores. I've been buying Charlotte's Web oils from her for the same price as I would pay directly from the manufacturer (actually cheaper, because I'm not paying for shipping) & she always has it in stock. I'm so thankful that I can just pop in when I'm running low. The office is very pleasant & super convenient. We're looking forward to exploring everything else Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massageworks has to offer! read more

This is the only place I have found Ashiatsu massage which is amazing. They just added Ashi Thai massage with Gretchen. I tried it yesterday for the first time and it was fabulous. If you carry a lot of stress - sit a lot - have tight muscles that simply won't relax - this is exactly what you need. The stretching aspect was the release I needed. Finally got some relief in my forever tight hips from sitting at a computer all day. Would definitely recommend Gretchen. read more

I went to see Charles for the first time yesterday and WOW. This was the best massage I have ever had. Charles really listened to me and asked questions to understand what was putting me in pain. I had a great acupuncture experience with Amy at Pittsburgh Acupuncture. The entire process was efficient and effective. Her gathering of my history was thorough. She used this information to tailor the treatments to my needs. I had treatments in both hips and legs. I went due to fatigue from running which had me plateaued. Within a few treatments I was able to break the plateau and set personal records. This would not have been possible without her work. Today was my first experience with Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massage Works. This was by far the best massage that I have ever had. The entire interaction from the second that I stepped foot in the door was beyond excellent!!!! When I first arrived at their new location ( a few minutes walk from Heinz Field) I was greeted by the receptionist named Sara. Sara is such a down to earth, free-spirited, kind, sweet professional lady. Sara knew that this was my first visit with this company. She was so genuine with her kindness making sure that I was feeling at ease before meeting the person who was going to be giving me my massage. That person was Ian. Ian put me in Heaven for an hour. Ian sincerely listened to what I wanted to done and what I did not done in my session. I was extremely paranoid about the appearance of my back and Ian made me feel 100% at eased. I love deep tissue massages. Ian also knows what a deep tissue massage really is. Other place that I have gone to didn't listen to what I want done. I often left other places more stressed out.. Also with the Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massage Works an hour massage is really - that...60 minutes!!!! Other places I paid for an hour massage and the actual massage was about 40 - 45 minutes. Other places claim prep time is included with the hour price. Also with the Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massage Work there is NO pressure for me to book another appointment. Other places desperately tried to get me to sign up for a package deal with their hard core tactics. This only made me upset and stressed out by undoing the so-called massage that I just received from them. With Pittsburgh Acupuncture and Massage Works they are so excellent without any questions or thinking, I wanted to get another appointment. I just did that too. I have another appointment in a couple of weeks. Sadly your 60 minute massage will go extremely fast. It will feel that you were on the table for 10 or 15 minutes. Ian listened to me during the massage to. He will make you at ease with his very soft spoken voice and awesome personality. Already I feel an addiction forming with Ian's massages. .Thank you so very very very much Ian. You totally Rock!!!! Today I got a REAL deep tissue massage. Ian also added a couple of phenomenal surprises that I have never experienced. Included in my massage was a hot stone massage and he ended my session with a hot towel massage. read more

This place is bringing me back to me. They are focused on the whole person, willing to try all avenues and appreciate open feedback. I've had massages, cupping and acupuncture to treat my fatigue and body aches. During my sessions with Amy for acupuncture, she has taken the time to study the information I've shared with her and create weekly plans to improve my overall health. If she feels cupping or other techniques will benefit that week, she adds it into our session. I've had the pleasure of working with Ian since the days they practice in their home. I LOVE deep tissue massages and would walk away with the knowledge - and feeling - that he worked out the tension in my main troubling areas. Iva's absolutely charming and amazing at cupping (and massage)! I've fallen in love with cupping on my stomach to shake up any tension and woes that hold up in my abdomen. Next on my list is Reiki with Tracy!!!! read more
