Terrible experience. Didn't call, had to call my warranty company to remind him of his appointment. He showed up and was nice in person and said in person that the necessary repair for the toilet in my home was normal wear and tear and needed to be replaced. He later suggested that the toilet was damaged due to abuse and sent an additional $750 bill. This is a bad attempt of price gouging and if not careful will cause me to no longer do business with my warranty company. Do not do business with this man. My tenants deserve a repair (i already paid $125 for). read more

Had a water heater replaced through AHS. I needed an expansion tank to bring it up to code. $1,250 to add a 70 dollar tank. I'm guessing AHS doesn't pay them crap, lowest bidder. They will then make it up by charging you a fortune. Stay away. Take the cash payout from AHS And get another plumber. The two guy's that installed it did a good job though. read more

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY in 2021 this company was assigned to come out by American home shield for a leaking water heater. It was replaced at the time and I had to pay an additional roughly $400 out-of-pocket for an expansion tank to bring it up to current code standards. Seemed reasonable. two days ago the 4 1/2 year-old water heater was found to be leaking all over a garage floor. I called Sigmond plumbing to have this replaced under the manufacture Warranty and was told I needed to call AHS. I explained that this had nothing to do with American home shield as it should be covered under the manufacturer warranty, and I was told it didn't matter and I still needed to call them to "get someone out there". I called AHS and they told me I did not need to go through them and to call the manufacture. I did call AOSmith and verified that it is indeed covered under the manufacture warranty and was provided a verification number. I called Sigmond back with this verification number was told again that it didn't matter and I need to go through AHS to get them to come out. Shame on me and I listened. Bob showed up almost 90 mins late for the appointment and had no clue it was a warranty as nothing was communicated to him. I explained to him that it was already verified under warranty, and that AO stated they would need to have the front plate to verify the serial number on the current model. He proceeded to take a saw and cut the part of my heater where the serial number was. He then sat in his truck long time finally came back and said everything was processed and sent over to AHS. I told him this should not be AHS and it was manufacturer. He said he was just doing what he was told. Within roughy 30 min I had a text from Sigmond saying I owed them over $1200 for uncovered expenses that AHS will not pay. I immediately called Sigmund and was told this is for pipes and valves to reconnect the heater. I asked why they were not going through the manufacturer warranty and she said this is what I had to do as unfortunately I chose to go through American home shield. I told the individual on the phone I did not choose to go through them as I was told by a rep at their company I had to. I was then told this was not true and they were not sure why I was told this. I called American home shield back and they have refused to send someone back out and stated if I need it replaced this is what I have to pay. So shady and dishonest. It is very obvious why they had me go through American home shield now so they could add fraudulent charges to the bill that they could charge me for. Nobody even bothered to send me an estimate of these expenses. I have called another company that will be coming out tomorrow as a manufacturer warrant call. The additional service fee I had to pay will be worth it if what I anticipate is happening Is verified. Why would the tech take the section of my heater that has the serial number if they never bothered to go through AO Smith. horrible company with bad attitudes when they screw up. we had our house repiped, and the techs forgot to hook up the shower in the guest bathroom, and when called out on it, they were obnoxious and denied it, even though I have video evidence. And not only that I called them again (shame on me) for a leaky faucet, and a leaky toilet, they had the nerve to come in and tell me nothing was leaking, and I have video evidence of that too. This company is doing nothing more than ripping vulnerable people off. I read some reviews and I'm in agreement with them. We have American Home Shield too and they sent this company to fix a water leak on our water heater. They had to drill a hole into the concrete wall in the garage to get to the pipe that's connected to the water heater, which had a small leak. Plus move the water heater. They had three guys come. One told us that he had good news and bad news. The bad news was that he was going to charge $475 to drill the hole and move the water heater and that was for their labor, he said. I went and got our contract with AHS and told him that was covered in our contract. He said it didn't cover going through unobstructed walls. I should have read down a little further and after they left with $450, they took $25 off, I read the contract again and it clearly states that if plumbing is accessible only through a concrete floor, wall or ceiling, AHS will pay up to $1000 per contract. They also lied when they reported to AHS saying they fixed a slab leak. Well I have notified AHS and they have escalated this issue with this company. And they verified too that the work should have been covered. They are also sending another company to fix the hole they refused to repair. Please beware of Sigmond Plumbing in Spring Hill, FL and PLEASE read your contract thoroughly plus you can always ask AHS for another reputable company to do your repairs. Make sure you contact American Home Shield if they have you make any payments on the side as this is ILLEGAL! If they tell you something that is covered in your contract isn't call American Home Shield and confirm as they will mark it as you tampered with it so it's not covered and make you pay on the side. They forced me to pay by refusing to leave my house. These good reviews have to be fraudulent too - they had to have incentivized their friends to make them. I this company out on Fri to repair a leak in my water line going to my ice/ water dispenser. Roy and his partner were very efficient and worked in a timely manner. They explained every 5hing that was wrong and what needed to be repaired. I would highly recommend this company, over anybody. They were very prompt in their service. Our shower was leaking and we couldn't get the main water turned off. We call them and they came out 30 minutes later. They turned off the water and went into the bathroom to the shower. The faucet was already off and all they had to do was replace the pressure cartridge part that cost $30 dollars. He said he went to Home Depot to pick it up. He charged me $325.00 to do that. What a rip-puff. I will never use this company again nor will anyone else in my family. I can't believe they get away with this ripping off people. How sad. And he didn't even finish putting the faucet on because he didn't have a set screw. On top of that he wouldn't give me a receipt and said it will be email Monday. Installed new water heater through AHS. Tech burnt up my 220 line and damaged the new water heater by attempting to hook electric up, even though it kept tripping the fuse. Had to pay a independent electrical contractor, not associated with AHS(due to the fact that the only one they(AHS) have is even more incompetent from personal experience!)to run a new line!! Memphis and Mike came out, and did an amazing job diagnosing and fixing the problem. 1st job they did was wrong and I didn't know until another plumber saw it. I STILL called to hire them for a 2nd job today and they wanted to charge me MORE than DOUBLE what 2 other plumbers quoted me for a 5 minute job that the worker ROY admitted was a simple 5 minute job. He said cause of what's going on that's why and i said the other 2 plumbers aren't taking advantage like u are and he said it's not him, that's the price. Worst company ever! They are trained to make it seem as though you need extra parts or repairs. They say that it's code requiring this of them but when confronted with where exactly it states that its code, they come up with another excuse or say its company policy. Well, I am the customer and I don't want to pay $550 for unnecessary extras just because you all are trying to make an extra buck for your pocket. This company was scheduled to come out to my house through my home warranty company. They called and set an appointment time with a four hour window of 12 PM to 4 PM. I took off four hours of work and they were a no call no show. I contacted their office and they advised they would give me an ETA shortly. 30 minutes later no call back. I called back, no answer and canceled them through their voicemail. If you use this company I hope you have better luck than I did. read more
