Farrell Plumbing - Simply the Best!…read more September 29, 2025 - Hands down, simply the best. My kitchen sink drain pipes kept leaking on and off. The original kitchen sink setup existed before Farrell came and did my complete retrofit of all of the plumbing in my home. In typical Florida home fashion, that sink setup was a convoluted mess and would continually leak no matter how often it was tightened. Called Farrell Plumbing to see if they could fix this mess and send Mark over to look at it. Professional and very nice young man, Mark, took one look at it and saw the issue was with the gaskets and showed me why it kept leaking. He additionally looked at the original setup and saw a more workable solution, made the replacement features and shortly I hear the sound of running water with no leaks in sight. Mark's plumbing observation and skills saw a workable solution that also provided more room under the sink. When I requested the invoice, Mark shared that his boss said, this is close to the warranty for the retrofit work so no charge. I was GOBSMACKED. Never expected this. Again, I cannot say enough about the work ethic and skills of this family owned business. Thank you yet again, Farrell Plumbing.

The owner lied to my face about an issue with the drain field. I had it on camera that they hit the drain field while digging for the septic tank when they never should have been digging in that area in the first place and ended up digging up almost my entire front yard in the process because they had to move the septic and drainfield due to failing multiple inspections. They kept trying to change aspects of the job which contradicted the contract that they wrote and signed. Had I not had cameras watching them, they could have swindled me out of $6k for their mistake. They did end up finishing the job and put seed down to fill the grass back in but the entire process was a nightmare.

Plumb Elite is a 2017 plumbing company based out of Hudson, but it does contractual work that extends far beyond. It offers 24-hr emergency service, but primarily operates within the special plumbing/contractors' sector...meaning private citizens will use its services VIA another contractor (such as a home builder, a home remodeler, etc). I was very impressed with how friendly these two men were, & how comfortable I felt having them in my home. They came highly recommended by my bathroom remodel contractor Chris (of Builtry, Inc, of New Port Richey). James & Matt work extended hours; they are not 8 AM to 5 PM guys, which is a convenience for the customer. And after both visits, they left me w/ quality work & a clean bathroom. The only flaw I found is the classic rock music they listened to...lol. At least it wasn't Pop:) When you see the Amazon-looking van outside your home, you'll know the guys have arrived. I had flooded my downstairs' living room the morning after moving into my new home. The horror of watching water empty from the first floor ceiling vent & from a section of drywall onto my antique hutch & formerly carpeted floor is indescribable. Thankfully, Plumb Elite completely changed the pipes & drain in my bathroom tub/shower area while moving the valve back & up inside the wall. Mixed experience with Mears Plumbing…read more The office staff was excellent--friendly, professional, and reassuring. They quickly scheduled a technician and even texted me his arrival time and photo. The technician was also very professional and courteous, including wearing booties to protect my floors. He identified a leaking hot-water pipe where it came through the slab and discussed two repair options with me. I chose the less-invasive option of running a new line from the water heater rather than breaking up the concrete. Unfortunately, after consulting with his supervisor, I was told Mears would not do that repair and instead recommended either breaking up the concrete for about $1,600 or a whole-house repipe costing around $10,000. I was unable to speak directly with the supervisor. I called another plumbing company the next day. Their technician looked at the same problem, agreed to the less-invasive repair, completed it in about three hours, and charged $900. I want to emphasize that I was impressed with the Mears technician and office staff. My disappointment was with the supervisor's decision and the company's approach to the repair. Ultimately, that decision cost Mears the job. I would recommend getting a second opinion before committing to a major repair or whole-house repipe.
