Cold. Amateur. Lazy. I went in for an eye exam and the doctor was going to do it totally remote…read more But before I even got there the device that was supposed to take my a picture of the back of my eye was not able to work. This whole place felt like they just opened up and didn't really know what they were doing. Overall, I guess I'm going to Walmart.

I visited LensCrafters and purchased a pair prescription safety glasses for work. I wanted the type…read morewith bi-focals on the top and the bottom of the lens and was told that I could have them in the frames I wanted. I paid and they told me that they would be ready in an hour. An hour later they bring out the glasses and they only have the bi-focal in the bottom. The associate apologizes and says that they will have to be special ordered. I tell them to go ahead. They called the house the next day at 3:30 PM. Fortunately I was home early. They pretty much demanded that I pay an extra $35.00 over the phone before they will order the glasses that I already asked them to make. I don't mind that the glasses were made wrong the first time, that sort of thing happens. But to delay ordering my glasses for 1 business day when I have already paid $350.00 just to wring another $35.00 out of me over the phone is kind of bogus. Just make the frikken glasses. I am going to buy them. I already gave you a pile of cash. For crying out loud you can trust for the $35.00. I am trusting you with my $350.00. So after giving them my CC# for the $35.00 I ask if the manager is there and can I speak to him/her. The associate say sure, no problem and puts me on hold. They come back on the line a few minutes later and tell me that the manager has left for the day and would I like for them to call me back? This is clearly shenanigans. Every employee knows exactly when the boss goes home. The manager is too chicken to actually deal with a customer who is upset and instead chooses to "call back" at some point in time when they know that the customer will probably be at work. While lenscrafters has a good selection of frames and can make simple prescriptions in an hour sometimes, you should avoid them if you need you glasses to be correctly made with a minimal chance of bogus charges and managerial shenanigans.

I'm self-employed - have to watch every penny. I look for…read moregood places to spend my money. Bonus is when I find real, honest, hard working people. Around June 15th 2017 I stopped in to get my glasses tweaked. One of the two pairs I purchased in 2008 was not holding the lens well and a screw always worked loose. David spent some time and was able to get them going though we both acknowledged it may be time to get some new ones. David was also running the desk it seemed so he very professionally kept his cool while helping all who walked in and still repairing my old broke down glasses. July 17th 2017 I went back as I had finally saved up enough for new glasses. David and I sat down and soon I was anxiously awaiting my single vision snazzy new sun-glasses and a no-line bi-focal pair as well. When I picked them up I was very happy with the clarity. However, with the bi-focal pair, I had only distance views to test - nothing up close. Upon returning home and working on the computer etc, I realized they were single vision - not bi-focal as I had wanted (one pair no-line bi-focal, the other single vision sunglasses). So I called and talked to Sam. Sam was very polite and understanding. Sam spoke to her manager and I was told to come back in the morning so they could make things right. So went in the next day and talked with Brittany. She was very courteous and proceeded to get my order straightened out. I turned in the incorrect glasses and returned a bit later to pick up my corrected glasses. I really like them! So, a little bit of mistake but maybe a complicated/confusing order mixed up at first but made right in a friendly professional manner. I would recommend this store with this quality staff. Thank you!!

I came back a few days later and made my appointment for 9:00 the next morning, at which point I was told $95. Excuse me? It was comparable to Walmart and cheaper than Target so I went ahead and made the appointment hoping to shop around some more in the meantime. I ended up going to my appointment. I got to the store before it opened as we only live a few minutes away. I checked in and somehow still had to wait for 30 minutes before I walked out. While I was waiting, I heard patients come in saying they'd just been in and were having problems with their prescriptions. Considering I was reading the same thing here, I bailed. The ladies couldn't even help me answer basic paperwork questions.

Mike her eye technician (unsure on his actual title) was assisting with my appointment. I switched over the Iowa Eye Clinic because my last doctor had issues with getting me into the right prescription. My right eye was still pretty fuzzy and he said it wasn't going to be perfect anymore. I am only 28 so I find that difficult to believe... Needless to say after 20-25 minutes in the chair Dr. Gauger and Mike had me in a crystal clear prescription!! After I was done being seen, I went over to the optical lenses shop and picked out a cute pair of Fysh UK Urban Eyewear glasses. Traci was beyond helpful in assisting me in picking out the right lenses for the shape of my face in addition to the right color. After I picked up my new glasses I went ahead and splurged on a new pair (first time ever) of prescription sunglasses!! Thanks again to Dr. Gauger, Mike and Traci for all of your help! Michelle J.

My new glasses are cute, comfortable, and my vision is terrific with them! I no longer have to hunt for my readers and simply wear my new glasses all day. Everyone here is kind and helpful and I've never had a negative experience.
