1-Star Review: If You Enjoy Wasting Time, This Is Your Place…read more If you're looking for a masterclass in not listening, zero internal communication, and wasting over an hour of your life, then congratulations -- America's Best is apparently the Ivy League of all three. We walked in and spelled everything out slowly and clearly: * PAIR Eyewear sent us here * Their online lab couldn't make our son's lenses because his prescription is too strong * PAIR said this store could handle it * We brought insurance, prescription, everything neatly lined up like responsible adults My wife and son spent more than an hour with staff -- frame picking, measurements, insurance processing, the whole production. And then -- at the VERY END, when it's time to pay -- SURPRISE: "Oh actually, we can't do a prescription this strong!!!???!!?!??! (WHAT?!?!?!??) A plot twist so unnecessary it could win an award. But here's the part that really made this next-level frustrating: We told them upfront exactly why we were there. We repeated it. We clarified it. We explained PAIR had referred us SPECIFICALLY because the prescription was too strong for an online lab. Nothing...Not a word...Not even a hint that their lab store had any limitations. Only AFTER we pressed them did the truth finally appear: "Well... if either eye is stronger than +1.5, our lab can't do it because they add the numbers together." That's the kind of critical detail you would think a business might mention BEFORE wasting a family's time. But it gets better. The staff's big suggestion? "You could try going online." You know... The thing we said we ALREADY DID. The reason PAIR sent us here. The entire explanation we gave at the beginning -- multiple times -- in plain English. Then the manager comes out (Ok...Because it's illness time she had been on the phone rescheduling eye exams and dying to deal with stuff that managers deal with my wife who is MUCH MORE PATIENT THAN I keeps saying as I am typing this) But still she finally comes over and basically restarts the entire conversation from scratch. No awareness. No communication between staff members other than - we are doing our best! It was like watching people improvise a script they hadn't read. And the grand finale? THE impressive professional solution???? "I heard someone once bought empty frames from PAIR EYEWEAR online & took them to an independent lab to get lenses separatly." Wow. Revolutionary advice. So Not helpful. So NOT practical. A real "someone once maybe tried this" level of expertise. AND HONESTLY not something we needed to spend an hour on our Saturday morning with our teenage son to receive. Thankfully he was patient and understanding and is very much about 1 people first then things and when he heard that people were sick - he said to his mom - he felt bad for the "new girl" who was still trying to learn everything! So now IF WE want to get these particular glasses for him, We have to - try to track down empty frames and find a separate lab to make the lenses because "the professionals" -- apparently -- cannot be bothered to work together with their own labs to actually figure out how to get them to a wider range of clients. Meanwhile, in a strange twist of irony (would it be Irony?? I've been mixed up about the notion ever since that 1995 Alanis Morissette song) ANYWAY - My wife and I just ordered PAIR eyewear ourselves... and after this circus? We're honestly rethinking that, too. Bottom line: If you want a place that listens, communicates, or has any FUNCTIONAL structure whatsoever -- KEEP DRIVING. If you value your time -- KEEP DRIVING. If you want anything other than frustration -- definitely JUST KEEP DRIVING. America's Best? TODAY felt more like America's Bare Minimum -- and even that feels generous.

If i could give zero i would, false advertisement, my daughter needed glasses and on website says ,…read morefree exam and 2 pairs of glasses for 89.99, not true! Informed me they changed that, ‍ but doesn't list that, she had some other lil service they charged $30 for and in total it came to almost $200.00, what a joke and i won't ever go there again, and i read fine print, beware and make sure you're truly getting what they falsely advertise!
