I have been seeing Dr. Prevor about 10 years. I am being treated for uveitis at this time. My issue is not with the service that I am receiving from Dr. Prevor. Every time I tried calling the office I would be placed on hold for about 5 minutes. I have two numbers for the office and it still is the same issue. Something needs to be done and I relayed that message a few times. They are quick to sending you a text for a review. I would recommend Dr. Prevor but will give them a heads up with contacting the office. read more

They facility is great and the parking is in abundance. I like how the constantly remind you of any appointments and if you have a bill, they will send you a link to pay online. The staff is friendly and very professional. I saw Dr. Meta if I spelled the name right. They also have a link to check in on your phone when you arrive but I forget to use it. I came for a follow up appointment. My scheduled time is 4:30. I'm sitting in the lobby for 15 minutes now. It gives me time to calm down after work so I don't mind. Practice setting and physicians are great. The corporate scheduling, patient portal, telephone menus are not. They are the worst compared to other health systems. If you have patience and endurance, the phone wait is manageable. The patient portal is hopeless. Don't waste your time read more

James Gordon, the ophthalmogist is good, but gives patients short shrift. The company's billing department is a complete disaster, sending out bills that have been paid three and four times and not crediting payments made to an account. I have to spend three months straightening them out and sending proof of payment repeatedly. read more

Dr. Voleti's credentials speak for themselves. She and her team came through in a very big way for me. By discussing the details of each operation, I felt very assured and relaxed that I was on good hands. This review is for the SightMD's office management. I am very disappointed after using their doctor/facility for years. I had cataract surgery on both eyes last year. I wish I knew a bit of how Insurance worked and how much it would cost me upfront. I guess I got used to be in the dental office, they always informed me how much out of pocket's cost before doing any procedures. Originally the surgery supposed to be a traditional, but "client service" called a few days before, pushing me into laser surgery. He told me how bad my eyes were, laser was the only choice and I was thinking my doctor didn't say that! Anyway, I had to pay $3700 upfront for both eyes. I didn't understand that amount was ONLY using the laser equipment for that couple of minutes. later on the bills just kept coming, like anesthesia, the lens and SightMD bills...total of another $3150 after insurance paid $5200. I don't know how on earth SightMD thinks about average retirees will have over $6200 cash laying around for a simple eye procedures? I wish someone could discuss the surgery procedures traditional and laser, the costs involved before the procedures. I wish the "client service" was not money hungry, had some compassion of the elderly! Wish is just a wish! I don't know how other people did it, laying in the clinic bed waiting for the laser surgery with huge cash in their pockets to pay the bills... I was thinking of change doctor, not to use SightMD anymore. If they don't care about their patients, why shall I trust them in the future? read more

It was my first time coming to Sight MD in Harrison. The parking situation is great, plenty of parking so you'll never not find a spot. The security guy check your temperature and check in for you. You are seated in the seating area where you will wait to be called in. Today I saw Dr Bruce Gordon who was very kind and knowledgeable. His assistance are all kind as well. It was a bit of a wait but I just think they had a lot of patients today. It is a very large office and they do there very best to get everyone seen as quickly as possible. I highly recommend coming here. It's a great office, great workers and they take the majority of insurance which is awesome. read more

I wish I read these reviews before I went to see them on an emergency basis. I was given a prescription with a hefty co pay. I was told by dr. Prevor-Weiss to call her if I had problems picking up the prescription. It has been three days now and numerous calls but i have not received a return call from the physician or another medical personnel. I would not recommend them to my enemy. read more

My eyesight was much better before I came here. After cataract surgery and 3 more procedures I am now seeing another doctor for custom fitted contact lenses. My doctor told me I would not need reading glasses after my cataract surgery but I do. I have difficulty driving at night now due to extreme starbursts from lights. read more

My son (6 years old) has seen Dr.Katz a few times at the Harrison location. Dr. Katz spoke to my son in a rude tone and was very sarcastic (with a child) I said to him "I understand you might be having a bad day but cchange how you're speaking to my son, it's very rude". He then said "I was just talking to him" Later that evening, I received a phone call from Dr. Katz apologized for his behavior because he realized it was not very nice. I was happy that he took accountability and decided to go back. We went back in January 2023, everything was fine. Today, 10/3/2023 we see Dr.Katz at the Yonkers location. Dr. Katz enters the room, I am sitting in the chair watching Dr. Katz, my son is sitting in the patient chair and he begins to touch the equipment- I immediately tell my son to stop and Dr. Katz smacks my son on his arm RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I couldn't believe it. "DID YOU JUST HIT MY SON?" I asked in complete disbelief! His response was, "No, I brushed his arm" LIES!!! The energy in the room immediately changed. I am in shock and disbelief. The mother in me was ready to turn the whole office up but the professional in me knows there are other ways to handle this. I promise you it took everything in me to remain calm and level headed. I am writing this review at 9pm on 10/3/2023. No call, No apology, No accountability. Not that it would make it okay. Dr. Katz was completely wrong and out of line!!! A police report has been made with Yonkers Police and the Boards will be notified! read more

The doctors are excellent but since the practice was sold to Sight MD, it is very difficult to accomplish simple things. For over a week I have been waiting for a prescription to be sent to my pharmacy. In the meantime I am running out of eye drops, two phone messages have gone unanswered and phone calls are routed through a call center. Yesterday the local office phone line was busy the entire day. There is not way to contact them via email, yet they like to tout their "world class service". Not my experience. read more

My only problem with Sight MD are the Technicians. I've called several times and have never gotten through to any one of them. I very rarely write reviews and when I do they are always positive up to nowI have been coming to the Harrison office for over a month with my dad. Today was my 3rd time and office staff came up to me and kicked me out of the office claiming it was due to covid mandates. I checked in with my dad and had been sitting down for a good 5 minutes before I was approached. I was never told before today that I couldn't stay in the waiting room with my dad. Never once had an issue and was just minding my own business. She came over and embarassed me in front of everyone in the waiting room. Meanwhile there were others with patients in the waiting room and not one of them was asked to leave. One of them with his mask below his chin. I was minding my own business reading my work emails. No signs telling people of their "rules". They are prejudice and I would stay away. Anicia the office manager had another staff member come over to tell me instaed of coming herself. If you want to be ostracized and embarassed in front of others then this is the place to go to! Very unprofessional!! The staff is horrible, rude, unprofessional, and prejudice! I have been going to all kinds of doctors offices and not one has this rule in place nor do they treat their patients and caregivers the way they do. Dr Gordon should leave and start his own practice and get away from this awful staff. I wish on Anicia all the misery and nastiness she puts out to all the patients and their family members. Karma! She should not be working anywhere that involves interactions with others. Clearly she can't manage nor be friendly with people at all!! The Yonkers office is sub par. Wasn't happy at all with the staff. Before even being given an eye exam the technician asked me if I WANTED a new eyeglass RX. Well I don't know-I guess we'll see if I NEED one!!! Actually there was only one technician who was professional and seemed experienced. My Dr. is excellent but going forward I will only go to the Harrison office, which is slightly better. This practice was excellent but since it joined this group it feels impersonal and rushed, over-scheduling people so that it functions in a machine-like manner. Sight MD was not a good move. read more
