The staff is very friendly and answered anytime questions I had. I use to go to a chain eye doctor for my yearly check up, not any more

When the optical part of my doctor's office closed, I needed to look elsewhere. I wanted to find a place that accepted my vision insurance (VSP). It was the good reviews on Yelp that led me to visit Third Avenue Eyecare. I am so glad that I did! The customer service and knowledge of both Chaz and Laura were top notch. They were able to recommend frames that fit my face and would work with progressive lenses. I don't know about you, but I get overwhelmed when I go into an optical store and have to choose frames. I love how Third Avenue Eyecare sent an email prior to the visit asking me to visit their website to check out potential frames. I then submitted my choices which were available to try on at the appointment. That is so customer friendly and made things so much more efficient! I was able to search online for frames by brand, type and color. I have never seen that before at an in-person optical store. Such a great experience!

He first saw the Ophthalmologist who after an hour of testing said he needed cataract surgery. Another appt was made for 2 more hours of testing. We were then given an appt to see Dr Prett. Again he was given eye tests. When we met with the Dr she told us the facility was not able to transfer him from wheelchair to operating table. We discussed the option of a family member assisting with the transfer. A date was set. A few days later I get a call that they can not do the surgery because of the transfer issue. I am completely disgusted with this experience. How is it that seeing my husband in a wheelchair no one thought to pose the transfer question before being paid for all the testing not to mention the time wasted. Surely my husband was not the first person to come to this clinic in a wheelchair!! I feel this is discrimination of a person with disabilities and totally not ethical.

She tried to say well it says here on the computer. Like I am stupid. Well rude lady maybe the person who made it on the computer screwed up. I came in to confirm and the receptionist with the tattoo head said oh yea it was yesterday. We tried calling and sent an email. I said my phone number and she finished it without even letting me. She said it didn't go through which must be a lie because it works. Not only that so does my email. Than she said we could reschedule tomorrow (Wednesday) but than said we would have to do it next week to which I said I am confused I thought you said tomorrow and than she said yea she confused too...long story short they can take their passive aggressive out on someone else I am going to another place which was much better and professional I tried to call back for feedback and they hung up on me the person was Linda she said that she thought I was spam. While initially visiting Main Street vision care was a positive experience, with a great provider…read moreof care, it became apparent later in the buying experience that Main Street vision care would rather not deal with anyone that has a "bigger" face. This is definitely not my first set of glasses, and have never had this issue before, but unfortunately Main Street only had two frames that would fit, and both were made so cheaply yet still cost hundreds of dollars with insurance. It's rather odd that my last two pairs of glasses, made by Warby Parker and Columbia (main stream brands) and fit my face just fine. They don't fall apart and I don't have to visit the optometrist every two weeks to have them modified to work. Yet the narrative is that my face is the problem. We asked if we could order another brand frame. We got a firm no. My wife was told she would need to pick men's frames. This was very hard for her to deal with as I'm sure any man would understand, but the staff at Main Street vision care don't seem to have a clue how this could be hurtful. I'm now on my second set glasses, the last option they had, and the lens just continuously falls out of the right eye when cleaning. Junkiest frames I've ever encountered. I just called and asked if I can just get a refund and go somewhere else, but apparently the same guy has to have pity on me and approve my request. Going somewhere else would have saved a lot of embarrassment and time spent.
