We stayed there last year, and were excited to back this year. However, as soon as we arrived, we found the staff uncooperative, unprofessional , and the room was not being cleaned. We were staying there a family of 4, with 2 young kids. We asked if we could have the bedding changed every other day. We were told they only change it every 3 days, unless we want to be charged an additional $30 fee. We asked if they could clean the bathroom, including the shower. They told us it was cleaned, when it clearly hadn't been. After trying to talk to staff at the front desk, and getting no help, we took pictures of the dirty room and emailed them to the owner of the property. He didn't respond. Another example was when we accidently broke a glass in our room. We asked if we could borrow something to clean it up. They lent us an old broom, and didn't offer to help us or to even vacuum. The next day, we expected them to clean the floors, knowing there might be broken glass. They didn't, an both my husband and I got cuts in our feet. The following day, after returning to our room, and noticing the floor was still sticky, I started cleaning it myself with paper towels and all purpose spray. I was disgusted to see the paper towel was just black! We again went and complained, and I showed the front desk girl the dirty paper towels. I asked her if she called that "clean"? She smirked at me, and asked if I wanted our room inspected again? I said no, I wanted to speak to the manager. She told he wasn't available, and there was no other management available to speak to me. My husband tried talking to them after, and came back saying I apparently "yelled at the girl, and made her cry"! (Obviously this is a total fabrication on her part). Then the final blow was when the cleaning staff manager came to our door, and told us we had 1 hour to check out and get our stuff out!! We were completely shocked! In hindsight, we should have spoken up immediately, and insisted on talking to the owner of the property. Honestly, we were so caught off guard, and with 2 young kids, we weren't interested in trying to argue. We checked into a different hotel and went home the following day. Siesta Suites charged us for the last night , despite the fact we had already left that afternoon. We had about $200 worth of groceries (perishable items), that we ended up having to throw out. It was the worst experience we've ever had. I would never want another family to go through this. It ruined our holiday. read more
