They did a wonderful job of allowing us to kinda check in early and then called us when our room was ready. The rooms were nicely appointed in our double Queen with a good amount of room. The bathroom is a little snug, given the door brushes the front of the toilet. The bathroom is a one person at a time deal unless you're fine with close proximity bathroom habits. As for the hotel itself, it was clean, our room was spacious, and we never waited for an elevator. Regarding staff, I forgot clothes in a drawer in the room. Sierra was more than accomodating by holding the lost items in their lost&found and doing the extra work to parcel them up and send them to me. That should tell you all you need to know about the good people running the hotel.

After hearing that this was the prime hotel to stay in Kelowna, I was expecting a bit more than I…read moreexperienced. It was a good stay but I'll outline as follows for ease of reading: THE GOOD: *Prime location downtown and right on the waterfront - ideal walking, jogging, biking and certainly close proximity to all the fine dining options steps away. *Staff want to please and are welcoming *Residences feature two floors with two bedrooms, kitchen, two bathrooms and a semi private balcony. *Good dining option on the property with both indoor and outdoor seating. *The "Pantry" is available free to Marriott Elite members and offered lots of food and drink options at no cost - fully stocked. Great perk. THE NEEDS ATTENTION: *The room is more on the no frills airport hotel style. *Bed wasn't so comfortable and is queen sized, not king. *Master bathroom is small although it features a whirlpool tub and walk in shower, the vanity is a single sink with limited counter space. *Fixtures need attention - most of the light switches don't work, the toilet needs re plumbing and the sink faucets always leak on to the counter. *The towels are really cheap and thin. *If someone cooks in their room, the smells travel throughout the hallway. *The balcony is shared with the adjacent guest room - therefore semi-private *It was difficult getting around the property with no signage - I walked around for 15 minutes before I could find a staff member that knew where my room was. The front desk staff just pointed down a hall and told me to walk as if I was leaving the hotel. Huh? *Many of the door entry points don't work so they tell you to walk up and down random floors - so odd.

I was asked where I wanted to sit. I said that I would prefer outside. She came back a few minutes later and said there was a table available but she would have to clean it first. I said that was fine. I saw her doing other things but I waited 10 minutes before I was sat, even though I saw her doing other tasks. After I was seated, it took over 5 minutes before the server brought me water and to ask me what I wanted (no greeting no pleasantries). I ordered Earl Grey tea and a yogurt parfait. It took almost 15 minutes before it came. The food and tea were good. But the server didn't check to see if I was enjoying the food. The server came back and blandly asked me if there was anything else i wanted. I said, "Just the bill." I waited and waited and then finally stood up and walked towards the entrance, hoping to pay so I could leave as I had been there for almost an hour. I saw another server and asked her if I could please get my bill as I pointed to the table where I had been sitting. It was then that my server came up to me and asked if I needed anything else. With a bemused look I said, "Yes! The thing I asked for already; the bill". She said nothing and got me the bill. I paid while the other server was still standing there and said, "I'm sorry. We are very busy today, which was ironic as I could see at least 6 or 7 tables with no one sitting at them.

A cute place to stay with some quirks. This B&B is located in Summerland on switchback road closer…read moreto the lake than the town. The B&B is on a small farm that has some fruit trees, chickens, and sheep. The setting is very pretty and the grounds are large and great for exploring. The B&B has 2 rooms. The first floor room is handicapped accessible and spacious. We stayed in the first floor and a family member stayed on the second floor. We stayed here for 9 days so we feel like we got the full experience. Both rooms have private bathrooms and queen sized beds. The rooms had TVs, AC, wifi, sitting areas, etc.... The room downstairs has a water dispenser and the one upstairs has a fridge. The rooms are updated and feel fresh and new. I have no complaints about the rooms at all. Our daily breakfast was very good and the owners will ask you what you want and can adjust accordingly. They definitely don't skimp and the food is plentiful! We had breakfast on the front porch daily. The husband does hover during breakfast. There's space for two cars (or more) so parking isn't an issue. The area is very quiet as it is a farm. On several days we saw a mother deer and her two babies walking through the fruit trees. 3 stars is A-Ok as Yelp says, but here is my reasoning for not giving a 4 star rating: When we arrived and several other times we were there, the husband wanders around with no shirt. I know it's a farm, but to be greeted in the afternoon by him sitting on the couch with no shirt is odd. Also, we felt as if our rooms were the only area we could easily go without intruding. There was a living room, but it felt like the hosts' space and not welcome to guests. When you go upstairs, you have to walk through the hosts' study/computer area. Also, the Wifi is there, but really difficult to get in the downstairs room. When sitting on the porch (as I didn't feel welcome in the living room), comments were made by the hosts about our phone/internet usage; in a judging way that we were too connected via phones/internet, etc... I've stayed at several other B&Bs in other cities and I've always felt welcome in the common areas. This B&B felt very much like I was renting a room but needed to stay in that space. I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice. My family member who stayed in the other room felt the exact same way. The room itself is great, comfortable, and a good price. It's just a weird experience.
