    Breakfast room.

Super cozy, low key place right in the heart of nature. We stayed here for my husband's birthday weekend, stumbling upon it after a mishap at another lodging. It was like discovering a best kept secret that offered no pretenses. However, what it did offer was a quiet, clean room, a delicious home-cooked breakfast, and grounds that offered a variety of activities. There rooms come range in sizes, with 8 total. Some have a kitchen and living room with an outdoor seating area. Some, like ours, are perfect for those that need a place to lay one's weary head with the basic amenities (fridge, tv...etc.). The grounds offer space for an outdoor barbecue, for a fire at night under the canopy of trees and stars, for outdoor relaxation on hammocks, and for the kids to play (play structure, basketball area, and volleyball court). There's also a perfectly sized pool with lounging chairs to soak in some sun or swim. While under the current restrictions due to COVID19, the place seems to have made smart decisions to make the site feel safe. Their usual breakfast room is available for seating but the buffet breakfast it used to serve is now put into individualized baskets. Wendy, the owner, is quite friendly and willing to make the breakfast basket according to one's diet. She also wears a mask and has signage to remind people to respect the distance. She also has a great knowledge of the land around and offers suggestions for hikes and walks. We felt safe enough to stay two nights here. All in all, it was a great experience. We'd definitely go back when we're back in the area.

I stayed at Sky Lodge while attending golf school and really enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning that was included. Every morning a different kind of quiche-style hot dish was served ... just great. My room was very nice with queen beds and lots of pillows. The fridge kept the chardonnay cold to treat sore golf muscles. And the ceiling fans in both bedroom and kitchen were a real plus.

Hospitality + Wendy the owner is so nice and friendly. She makes sure that you have a pleasant time. Nice breakfast is included. Clean rooms and a nice pool and the backyard is full of activities! Will stay there again!

Great accommodation and hospitality! We booked room #5 with two queen sized beds which included (not limited to): ~A Fridge ~Coffee Table ~Coffee Maker ~Coffee'Tea ~2 Chair ~Cable TV ~Heater (did wonders) ~Small closet space ~Bathroom w/ shower ~Shampoo/Conditioner ~Face Towels & Body Towels ~Info & guidebook ~A journal filled with compliments and thank yous from past visitors (Which we added to) It was really cold outside (Spring) but the room with the heater kept us toasty and the blankets did the job when we turned the heater off. The beds were extremely comfortable, it was hard not to stay in bed except there was a complimentary breakfast we just couldn't miss between 8am-10am in the common room. There was fresh fruit, bread and toast coffee tea, home made apple juice and a freshly homemade French Toast Bake...yummy! We will visit again!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. You don't find this kind of personal hospitality very often. Room was Exceptionally clean.

I have waited 16 years to finally get married and was given the green light from my fiance to have the wedding of my dreams. I searched forest wedding and Twenty Mile House was the very first one that came up. I loved that it wasn't too far of a drive away, the all inclusive packages and the accomodation option to stay on site for me and 53 of our guests. We had compared prices to similar venues but found it ridiculous that for the same price, we would only have the venue, tables and chairs at the other places. So with that, Twenty Mile House became the winner. We absolutely loved the vintage cozy look of the homes, the miles and miles of forestation leading up to and within the venue, and the most amazing staff i have ever experienced with. Both Rachel and Ashliegh were absolutely amazing! They both listened and made all of my requests come true. Some had to be compromised, but it didn't change much of my vision. Our bartender Jasper was absolutely amazing and so kind. The lights, the vibe, the music, all of the vendors... they all worked together like a well oiled machine and made every wedding planning moment up to the wedding day absolutely perfect. I'm a chill bride and solely trusted the vendors and Ashliegh on their skills and talent. I'd be lying if I wasn't nervous at times, but said yes when they said "trust us". They absolutely delivered! The cake was exactly how I'd envisioned it and was so delicious, the food was a huge hit for my husband and I and our guests (I wanted to takr home the meatballs and freeze them), the DJ was perfection, the florals were immaculate (more than what i had expected), and the photographer Rachelle was sooo kind and made our little awkward selves so comfortable. We had hired a non preferred videographer for our day but both Rachelle and Ashliegh worked well with them. Thank you Twenty Mile House for making our dream wedding a reality! We will definitely come back one day and rent one of your homes as an Air Bnb, just so we can relive a little piece of our wedding. Thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!

The property is listed as a B&B on several platforms, the website features breakfast imagery, and the booking form asks for dietary restrictions, so we reasonably assumed breakfast and access to common areas were part of the experience. Instead, Room 2 functions more like a small private room rental with limited access to the house. We were surprised to learn upon arrival that we did not have access to the main house common areas. For us, shared spaces are a major part of what makes staying in a bed and breakfast enjoyable. The room itself was also extremely small. With a queen bed and a twin bed in the room, there was essentially no space to move around comfortably and no seating area at all. For three guests, there was nowhere to sit except on the beds, and simply walking around the room was difficult due to the tight layout. Breakfast was also not served. Two muffins were left for us despite the reservation being for three guests, and despite the booking form asking for dietary restrictions. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years throughout California--both coastal and wine country--and the experiences we've loved have always included warm hospitality, welcoming hosts, shared spaces to relax in, and memorable breakfasts. The common thread in these stays is that guests are encouraged to enjoy the home itself, interact with hosts, and relax in shared spaces. That sense of hospitality and atmosphere is the reason we choose B&Bs. While the building at The Parsonage is historic, Room 2 itself felt very modern and generic rather than reflecting the character of a historic inn. To be fair, the owners later pointed out that the website includes a detailed description and a floor plan showing the limited access for Room 2. However, we found the wording easy to misinterpret when booking, particularly given the B&B categorization, breakfast imagery on the site, and the dietary restriction field in the booking form. At approximately $280 for the night (including a $50 fee for a third guest), the experience did not match what we personally expect from a bed-and-breakfast stay. This room may work fine for travelers who simply want a small private room and plan to spend most of their time out in town. However, for guests specifically seeking the hospitality, shared spaces, and atmosphere that typically define a bed-and-breakfast experience, Room 2 may not meet those expectations.
