(#1) As a result, I've rarely met TJ I didn't like, which includes this location next to Willamette Center. At one point TJ Maxx was in downtown Salem, but now this is the only one left in the city. Like many of the businesses in the same lot, it looks and feels new. However, unlike those businesses, TJ Maxx actually has a steady flow of people going in and out. There's no doubt, it's a popular store. (#2) Parking isn't an issue with so many open spaces and it's an easy place to be. Of the few times I've been, I feel this TJ's was solid inventory wise. I found a good amount of clothing for men's and was able to find a gift or two in the kitchen + home decor areas. I also scored a charger for my rental car and almost bit on some of their limited Oregon Ducks gear. No dice on the shoes (#3) but they do have some sizes in the 14-15 range. Service overall seems okay. They're good about letting folks use the restrooms (which were super clean) and keeping the changing rooms tidy. The cashiers are strangely a little slow and sometimes line form as a result. Given how often I'm in Salem, I'm certain I'll be back again. __________ (#1) Ok, not really. After the outdoor ceremony, we headed to the Gatsby for our reception, where Katy and Hannah hosted us with the wine bar and private shopping. Katy has such a unique talent for creating a modern '20's aesthetic is the millennium's '20's era. We had access to Bluetooth to play our own playlist and have our first dance. She barely greeted us when we entered, paced around the floor with a pissed-off bored look on her face, fiddled with some stuff behind the counter, paced around impatiently some more, and did a stellar job of vibing us right out the door. There were a few other shoppers in the store and I noted they didn't stay long either. Totally baffling because my friend and I are your target demographic. This review is specific to service I received in the electronics department recently. I had…read morepreviously had two painful customer service calls with my cell phone company trying to get a new phone set up; when they were unable to help me, they advised me to go to a local Target for help. I was expecting to have another painful 30+ minute visit with someone repeatedly repositioning SIM cards in my phone and powering it off and on. Fortunately, Noah was working in the department that day and was able to get my phone up and running with no issues at all! He was friendly and efficient, patiently helped me get my phone set up, and gave me some tips on looking for a cover and all. Hopefully my phone will behave itself, but if anything comes up I'll be coming to this store first before wasting my time trying to call my service provider.
