This review is specific to service I received in the electronics department recently. I had previously had two painful customer service calls with my cell phone company trying to get a new phone set up; when they were unable to help me, they advised me to go to a local Target for help. I was expecting to have another painful 30+ minute visit with someone repeatedly repositioning SIM cards in my phone and powering it off and on. Fortunately, Noah was working in the department that day and was able to get my phone up and running with no issues at all! He was friendly and efficient, patiently helped me get my phone set up, and gave me some tips on looking for a cover and all. Hopefully my phone will behave itself, but if anything comes up I'll be coming to this store first before wasting my time trying to call my service provider. read more

Target got rid of their DEI policy and that has significantly lowered their quality of service and expertise. We used to depend on Target for our multicultural hair products and all of our household supplies, but their lack of diversity has forced us to go directly to the suppliers instead of shopping at target. Also we can get the products for a better price elsewhere. read more

The people in tech wipe out all the one piece cards and Pokémon cards and resell them online!!! Your welcome Salem that's why there is no more when you guys try to buy them . I hope corporate sees this as well . Also they aren't supposed to tell you if their is a stock of store cards but guess what the guy in tech name Will , he will answer the phone and tell you their is a big stock bro ! And then when you get to the store and question where the stock is they show otherwise . I will be writting a formal letter and contact corporate so they know what's going on that actually isn't fair for people that actually go out there way for it . read more

Poor customer service, I went back to return an unopened item and told the lady that I wanted to have the money back in my debit card which is the one I used to pay for the product and she gave me a gift card with credit in it instead of giving me the money back in my card. Then she said it was nothing she can do about it and I had to call customer service and still not a solution so right now I basically lost almost $300 because I do not need anything from the store what I need is my money, I lost my money because they "miss understood". read more

Went to this target to just find a pair of pajama shorts. Garbages out side were spilling over. Went to the restroom and no toilet paper in two stalls, almost out in one stall (but tons on the floor) and handicap stall was 'Out of Order'. Went to find what I was looking for. All they had was smalls. Clothes everywhere on the floor or in wrong place. If you were looking for an umbrella go to the women's area there's one on the empty T-shirt table. What a MESS. read more

There is something horribly wrong with this Target - what is going on? It has been like this since I moved to Salem and hasn't changed! The store shelves are EMPTY. The products they do have are extremely disorganized, like they're taken out of boxes and just thrown on the bottom shelves. It's dirty, dark, and dingy and every single time I go in, I leave disappointed because they never have what I need and if they do, it's buried under 10 lbs of products I don't need. I see plenty of staff! I don't know what the issue is! I have started only going to this location when I don't feel like changing out of my pajamas or don't feel like driving. read more

Target or Tarzhay, has been a Salem staple for a long time here along Center. Since most Targets are built practically the same, there are only some very small note-worthy points: * Service has always been friendly and helpful * Lines never been a problem here * Clearance section is great * Easy to find items * Good seasonal variety / deals. No Target is perfect however, their electronics section is atrocious. They don't carry too many name brand electronics or have a diverse section of cameras/camcorders. read more

I went in the other day to get some makeup remover. All of the items in the beauty section were locked up in glass cases. I pressed the help button 6 times and no one came. I walk an entire lap around the store looking for an employee who could help me and couldn't find a single one. I finally found someone after 10 minutes of looking and he apologized because he didn't have the right key as the beauty department wasn't his section. I finally got help after 20 minutes of being in the store. It's really inconvenient to have everything locked up and no employees around to help. read more

I got a gift card for Christmas I usually don't shop here but I did not have a good experience here the item I wanted I couldn't but with the gift card and the item I could get ended up being the wrong item and so I called the store to ask if I could return the items and they told me that they couldn't do that for me so I pretty much have things I can't use and a wasted Christmas gift thanks target , will never be going back ever read more

Tonight my husband child an myself went to Target to grab a couple things for our family art an movie night. As we were checking out my husband decided to take our son to the car.. As he walked by an employee named Zack decided to not only make fun of his disability but insinuated he was stealing by the way he walked, then pointed this out to 3 other people while my husband was walking out with my four year old son. My husband was born with a disability that impairs his ability to walk correctly. I do not appreciate that. Its very upsetting. Anyone with disabled family members, I would recommend that you not go to this store. To be honest I will be contacting someone in management about this.. Thank you Target I am now eating much more healthy than ever. I have lowered my meat and egg intake greatly. I'm not eating unhealthy snacks or any junk food which is mostly what Target has to offer anyway. I've greatly reduced by need for butter, and dairy products. It's a shame you don't seem to realize that you will lose a lot of people who have learned some financial discipline during the pandemic like myself. Target was always overly expensive for what it is now it's horrifically so. The clothes are awful quality and the the entire store's selection on everything is so limited it makes for a terrible experience. The shelves are often half empty and the entire place is a chaotic mess. Also there seem to be few employees ever on the floor to ever ask a question. Love their drive up device! Their employees are always great and helpful. The app is great to use when in store it helps you locate anything you're looking for. The checkers are always fast and get me out of the store quickly. read more

the cashier we had today, his name was kalub, was super rude and did not help us when our coupon was not working on his end... then proceeds to show us our total in the most smartass way flipping the computer screen... and we find he rang up an item twice and did not apologize and was smug about it. then still did not give us the coupon refusing to get a supervisor to override it. we went to guest services and they were helpful, but what a total lazy bum!!! read more

The customer service here is horrible. I have had bad experiences here for months now. The young man named Brayden lies everyday to us which in turn wastes our time . Outdated target store. I like that the first thing you see are cheap little items, but it gets messy throughout the day. I also noticed when I was there shopping in the electronics section of the store that I was victimized was a shop lifter. As I am browsing away and looking at deals and items. I over heard one of the employee near me saying, "The guy in the white shirt is still in the back..going to the front." I then walked to the front to exit, because of this outrageous mistake that they have targeted me. later that week I called into target to tell the manager about the situation that his employees had put me in. I wasn't sure if it was that I was asian, or the way I was dress or what not. Even so I was horrified with anger that I was victimized as a shop lifter and was kept an eye on. I would not recommend shopping here if you want to experience that same situation or be victimized. I promise you that you can shop at a better, updated, and staff friendly target in Keizer or even Walmart nearby. read more

I'm a Target customer, love to shop at Target so when on Nov. 25, 2018 I placed on order at Target.com for a Learning Resources Teaching Cash Register toy, I Knew that this Christmas gift was secured and one less thing to do on my Christmas list. Well I was wrong. I was instructed to pick up the item on Friday, Nov 30, 2018 at the store. I went to the store the next day; Saturday morning and the order had been canceled by Target.com on Friday, Nov 30, 2018, the pick up date because they were out of stock? I called Target.com @ 1 800 813 8433 and I was told, unable to re-order, out of stock they would send me an email when the toy was available again, I said ok. Could I get a rain check, I was told No!, they said call when the item is available and I'll sure you'll get the same price, I asked can you send me an email to that effect, she said No! so I asked how can I be sure I'll get the same price, since Target sold me an item that wasn't available and I was told they can't guarantee the same price, no rain check, nothing in writing guaranteeing the same price just to keep checking Target.com to see if the toy was available or wait for their notification email. I am furious with target this week. Monday march 10th 2014. My family and I went to target, mainly to get some house hold items. We went in back and were looking at mountain bikes. Well I selected an inexpensive mongoose, nice bike. we checked out and I decided to ride the bike home. Well I got about3 blocks and noticed the handle bars seemed a little loose. I figured ok I'll tighten them up when I get home. About 5 blocks later the handle bars slid right out of the retainer. I almost wiped out in front of traffic on center street. I am a Target fan, and this store is no exception. I always have a consistently good experience at every target I visit, and I don't think it's a coincidence. It seems they pride themselves in having a clean, presentable store, with friendly employees. That said, I took a point off for not being AS NICE as other targets, but it is by no means dirty or trashy. This store has a good setup, and has all the departments you expect from a large target. I wasn't in here very long, just had to get a couple of things and a cheap pair of shoes. I got what I needed, at a good price. The person at checkout was friendly and funny, and very efficient. I am a sucker for target! Mostly their popcorn. When you walk in the door the smell hits ya! I also love the $1, $2, $3 section right at the entrance. I find the cutest seasonal items there. I'm not gonna lie. I also am a sucker for red. I love the red and white in the store. I love their baby clothes and children clothes areas. They always have what I am looking for. My only complaint is I wish there was one closer to me! read more

I actually really like this target...its clean, and there are always plenty of employees around to ask for help. I think their clothes are really cute ( especially the baby section) and decently priced. The things I dont like...The lines are normally long. They only have a couple of cashiers open at a time. I go in the mid morning and atleast 2 to 3 people with carts in each line. As well as every self check out being used. They had only 1 or 2 pairs of size 4 toddler shoes that werent over $30.00 (or atleast that I could find out of the piles of disorganized shoes on the shelves). On the positive I found a really cute toddler dress for a good price and a pair of jeans. read more

Cashier was not friendly. She couldn't even ask me if I had found everything alright, or any type of interaction. She had major RBF. Better off doing self check out than dealing with attitude and bad vibes , but unfortunately I had a safety device that needed to be removed. Next time I'll go to Keizer station, they appear friendlier. Granted, I understand its the "holiday" season.. they weren't busy and it's way too early to start with the attitudes! read more

This store does have a problem keeping things in stock. For example, there will be a bath towel, hand towel---but no washcloth. Americans expect one-stop shopping and I've been frustrated too often here. I don't get the same feeling in this store that I did when Target first came on the scene and was blowing the competition away because their buyers were so much more discriminating. In years past I have been insulted by insolent checkers and tangled with probably the most vicious checker of my life, an older woman. Lately I haven't seen that behavior but then I don't give these folks much trade. Their greeting card selection is good, seems to change often and does not duplicate the selections of other retailers. This whole Lancaster Dr. neighborhood seems to me to be slipping downscale and I think no retailer can totally compensate for that, no matter how competently managed. read more

I'm normally a huge fan of Target and never met a branch I didn't like--until I met this one. It feels cramped, messy and a bit chaotic, and the cash registers are seriously understaffed, making for long lines. The one exception is the super helpful folks in the electronics department. I live closer to a different Target so I rarely go to this one, but it was Black Friday and the store near me already sold out of the things I was looking for. Unfortunately by the time I got here they were sold out as well. But I really liked how they laid things out for Black Friday and kept the flow of people going quite well. They had plenty of employees on hand to help you out if you needed it too. I was very pleased with my experience on Black Friday. read more

I love Target. I am that person whose friends joke about being obsessed with Target and their "infamous" end-aisle clearance shelves. I could spend hours walking around shopping or just getting ideas for my own house. This particular Target, although it has been remodeled recently, just isn't up to par with the many other Targets I've shopped at. I like to think of myself as a "Target Connoisseur"...
