We needed a 220 plug in our garage so we could charge our electric car quicker. Sierra Power quoted us a fair cost that was less than half what others quoted. The technician showed up on time early and knew exactly what to do to get a 220 outlet in garage. The install was finished in less than an hour, the technician was friendly. The plug works great and we have had no trouble with it after a couple weeks. This company went above and beyond our expectations. We will recommend this company to friends that need electrical work. read more

I wish I could give this company and it's owner Blayne zero stars. Although he was responsive to our generic request for quotes through Yelp, he was rude, inconsistent, demeaning and clearly out of line. After telling my husband and I that he is having my husbands honest review removed, he insulted him via text. He even went so far as to state that his quotes were going to be astronomically higher than other electricians due to us being 2 hours away from him. We never sought the quote from him specifically. Blayne on the other hand reached out to US, full well knowing where we live by reviewing our zip code in the prompt on Yelp. This ignorant business owner is now threatening my husband on texts and on Yelp because he was called out on his unprofessional behavior and price gauging tactics. Beware of this man and this company. Search around. Do your research. I most certainly would never refer anyone to this man. If he is that busy and doesn't need our business, then he would not be so anxious to solicit work for hire from someone on Yelp that is actively seeking quotes for a job. read more

I needed to add an outdoor electrical outlet added to our yard and contacted Sierra Power. Owner was on time, friendly and did the job for less than quoted. Happy with the quick turnaround. Unlike the review by Heather W. (taking time to bother to write a bad review for a bid not even a job) is petty and I'm shocked that someone would bother to take up time out of the day to be so negative, but I guess if your close to writing almost 800 reviews than maybe you write up every interaction you have. 5 STARS to Sierra Power 0 STARS to Heather W. read more

Our lights were randomly flickering after a series of storms. Got a quote from someone else who came in much much higher and recommended things that weren't adding up to what they found. Got a quote from Sierra Power. They were quick to respond with very decent pricing. The tech showed up a half hour into the time window given and was very thorough. Found we needed a new breaker. He troubleshooted and installed in about an hour. I've already recommended this company to another friend and will be calling them again for any future repairs. read more

Outstanding workmanship! Sierra Power Services went above and beyond for the installation of these chandeliers. They had great customer service and communication. Not only did they assemble each chandelier but they had a great aesthetic eye for placement. I receive countless complements on these chandeliers, as it is the first thing you notice when walking into my business thanks to Sierra Power Services. I highly recommend this company for any electrical service needs. read more

Put a quote request thru Yelp and received a fast response. They asked me to go thru some extra debugging steps and amazing that solved the problem. Professional, friendly & quick response. Will contact again next time I need electrician service. Thanks SPS! read more

Quick to respond, easy to schedule with and very nice! I can't comment to competitive pricing because I didn't end up getting other quotes for the service call since he responded quickly and was able to address the problem the next day. Happy client. Would definitely recommend! read more

This company solved my circuit breaker issue by text. I will keep them in mind for any future problems.

I explained the issue which was that the new fridge I bought kept tripping the GFCI. Blayne asked me to put it in another GFCI to see if it trips it. It did and he told me there's a fault in my fridge and to get it serviced. I didn't like this answer. I'd rather it not be on GFCI since my fridge my produce EMI that can trip GFCI devices so... just switch it to a non-GFCI outlet. Now Blayne I know what you're thinking, there are risks to that but I'll take it. 5 stars for not trying to milk me for my money and for telling what I could do to diagnose the problem. However, I just needed it turned on so my food doesn't spoil hahaha thanks for the quick response. read more

Just bought a new house and had to get some repairs done that the inspector found. Blayne was very responsive and found all those issues and more that were obvious fire hazards that the inspector missed. Broken grounds, neutrals touching ground, melting conductor insulation and burnt out breakers. He was very thorough and explained all of the findings. I can't recommend him enough. I've since had him do additional work to improve my home and he's done a fantastic job with everything I've sent his way. read more

He was very easy to communicate with from the beginning, a super nice guy, did an awesome job, was very courteous and clean while working in our home. We ver very impressed with his services all around. We've had other electricians in the past and we didn't bring them back. Will definitely use SPS again, and highly recommend. read more

Blayne and Joel came today to give me an estimate on an old commercial building. I was impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail, making sure that they understood the current condition of the electrical infrastructure of the building and suggesting required work. They took the necessary time to do a detailed investigation and since I am making an offer on the building, they emailed me their estimate later on the same day. Being a professional mechanical engineer myself, I appreciated their careful assessment. Their estimate is very reasonable. I am looking forward to hiring them once I purchase the building. read more

I asked them for a quote on energy storage system for our solar panels (battery banks) and they replied by saying they didn't offer that service, yet their website reads: "Within the last 5 years technology manufacturing leaders have solved this issue by deploying energy storage systems alongside it's variable generation assets. SPS has been involved since the beginning. The solution is here now, and immediately scalable. Not only are we excited, and capable of offering Energy Storage/Microgrid and Variable Generation Firming, we've been here a long time and have waited to deploy this solution alongside your existing or new power system. Our Principals assisted in the development and deployment of these strategies." Update: Business claims they are not authorized installers for Enphase. There's no mention of this on their website that I could see and Enphase is a major manufacturer (shares traded on the stock exchange) that provides online training and certification for online buyers of their Plug-and-play battery storage systems. I find it hard to believe that this solar installer has not bothered to ask even one of their technicians to watch the online training videos so they wouldn't have to turn down jobs and still claims they've been on top of the storage bank systems from the beginning, on their website. read more

Blayne was great, excellent communication, on time, and efficient. He was 2 of 6 electricians Yelp sent out for a quote who was able to accurately bid on our job right over the quoting platform w/o an on-site survey and/or request for phone interviews, which saves everyone time. I felt we provided very clear pics, and descriptions. While another electrician's bid was slightly lower, their responses were much more delayed. By the time we got an availability response from them, the job was already completed with Blayne. Glad we hired Blayne, we value time and efficiency. read more

I will state that I did not render any services from Sierra and never would. The one star was based on his professionalism alone. While trying to retrieve a quote, he was nothing but rude. I told him I was shopping for a quote, and he came back at me with, "If you are looking for the cheapest, I am not your guy." That should tell you everything that you need to know before using them. People who advertise on Yelp are generally looking for work and willing to be competitive. However, there is another type, people who prey on those unaware of competitive pricing. I also told him I would purchase all of the materials, as I would want to include them in my project loan. He said, "good luck" I don't work for labor alone. This should also tell you that any materials they use would be jacked way up in price. I am not sure how he has five stars, but I would stay far from him. There are plenty of electricians willing to be competitive for your job. read more

Contacted Blayne through yelp. Thought I needed a sub panel and told him so. He was able to give me an accurate/fair quote via the pictures I sent him. Turns out I didn't need the sub panel which saved some $$$. But not knowing the difference, he could have easily upgcharged me. He arrived promptly and quickly completed the job. Excellent workmanship, very satisfied. read more

I contacted Blaine through Yelp after a bad experience with an electrician sent out via my home warranty. I had 5 electricians come out to quote a main breaker replacement. Blaine was had the most reasonable quote and didn't try to sell me a whole panel replacement, which is why I ended up choosing him. Blaine was on time, quick, and took the time to check and make sure everything else was in order. He also explained what the other issues may be if the breaker replacement didn't fix my issues. read more

Blayne came today for a scheduled appointment. He was on time and very professional. We needed to have an electrical outlet put in for our dryer. He actually saved us money by finding an outlet closer to where the dryer is being placed. He did a great job of asking questions and getting the information via on line to provide a quote and set up an appointment. It has been a challenge to get any home repairs or work done in this current climate. It was a breath of fresh air to have someone show up on time, and do the required work accurately and efficiently. I would highly recommend Sierra Power for any electrical services needed. read more

I needed a Tesla wall charger installed and contacted Blayne. He responded to every one of my emails the same day, usually within a couple hours.
