I wish I could give this company and it's owner Blayne zero stars. Although he was responsive to our generic request for quotes through Yelp, he was rude, inconsistent, demeaning and clearly out of line. After telling my husband and I that he is having my husbands honest review removed, he insulted him via text. He even went so far as to state that his quotes were going to be astronomically higher than other electricians due to us being 2 hours away from him. We never sought the quote from him specifically. Blayne on the other hand reached out to US, full well knowing where we live by reviewing our zip code in the prompt on Yelp. This ignorant business owner is now threatening my husband on texts and on Yelp because he was called out on his unprofessional behavior and price gauging tactics. Beware of this man and this company. Search around. Do your research. I most certainly would never refer anyone to this man. If he is that busy and doesn't need our business, then he would not be so anxious to solicit work for hire from someone on Yelp that is actively seeking quotes for a job. read more

Our lights were randomly flickering after a series of storms. Got a quote from someone else who came in much much higher and recommended things that weren't adding up to what they found. I explained the issue which was that the new fridge I bought kept tripping the GFCI. Blayne asked me to put it in another GFCI to see if it trips it. It did and he told me there's a fault in my fridge and to get it serviced. I didn't like this answer. I'd rather it not be on GFCI since my fridge my produce EMI that can trip GFCI devices so... just switch it to a non-GFCI outlet. Now Blayne I know what you're thinking, there are risks to that but I'll take it. 5 stars for not trying to milk me for my money and for telling what I could do to diagnose the problem. Just bought a new house and had to get some repairs done that the inspector found. Blayne was very responsive and found all those issues and more that were obvious fire hazards that the inspector missed. Broken grounds, neutrals touching ground, melting conductor insulation and burnt out breakers. He was very thorough and explained all of the findings. I can't recommend him enough. I asked them for a quote on energy storage system for our solar panels (battery banks) and they replied by saying they didn't offer that service, yet their website reads: "Within the last 5 years technology manufacturing leaders have solved this issue by deploying energy storage systems alongside it's variable generation assets. Not only are we excited, and capable of offering Energy Storage/Microgrid and Variable Generation Firming, we've been here a long time and have waited to deploy this solution alongside your existing or new power system. Our Principals assisted in the development and deployment of these strategies." Update: Business claims they are not authorized installers for Enphase. There's no mention of this on their website that I could see and Enphase is a major manufacturer (shares traded on the stock exchange) that provides online training and certification for online buyers of their Plug-and-play battery storage systems. I find it hard to believe that this solar installer has not bothered to ask even one of their technicians to watch the online training videos so they wouldn't have to turn down jobs and still claims they've been on top of the storage bank systems from the beginning, on their website. read more

I will state that I did not render any services from Sierra and never would. The one star was based on his professionalism alone. While trying to retrieve a quote, he was nothing but rude. I told him I was shopping for a quote, and he came back at me with, "If you are looking for the cheapest, I am not your guy." That should tell you everything that you need to know before using them. People who advertise on Yelp are generally looking for work and willing to be competitive. However, there is another type, people who prey on those unaware of competitive pricing. I also told him I would purchase all of the materials, as I would want to include them in my project loan. He said, "good luck" I don't work for labor alone. This should also tell you that any materials they use would be jacked way up in price. I am not sure how he has five stars, but I would stay far from him.
