    This is my preferred recycling center as you get a fair return. I take my aluminum cans here…read more Currently the price is $0.50/pound. The business recently relocated to 3225 E 36th Street in early December 2025. This location is bigger and makes it easier to get in and out of, especially for larger vehicles. For cans, simply drive up to the "Small Scale" in the corner and the employees will take your bags of cans and weigh them for you. You then get a chit which you take back to the office and then take the receipt with the QR code to the ATM for your money. So it's a three step process. I've been going to Desert Metals now for ten years and have always been treated well. When the ATM machine doesn't work, an employee will help me out. While this location is bigger, the ground is dirt. Heavy rains on New Years Day made the ground rather muddy when I got out to unpack my bags. The mud is my only complaint about this new location.

I provided the individual in the office with all of my legal paperwork regarding business license, EIN and trade name. I never once felt entitled or demanded a local business honor their posted hours as stuff happens or business is slow. Your talking about walking in 23 minutes before close so you can sell your stolen copper to buy more pipe dope. Treat local business with some respect and for that matter any damn business. Would you demand a restaurant cook your dinner if you walked in 23 mins before close? I mean even an hour before close is pushing it you entitled hippie. Great recycle center ive refered multiple to this spot for their super easy and simple process to get in paid and out faster then i pulled out of Andy's mahhomanninn...
