This was the 4th ketamine treatment center I had considered. The first one closed because they couldn't make it work through Covid.
The second place the Dr. was just awful, the 3rd they cancelled my appointment for no explanation and where the doctor went to a medical school
was questionable to say the least. Then I came upon Dr. Watson. I made a appointment for a 1/2 hour consultation and then 1 hour of the the
Ketamine infusion. I was and have been afraid of doing this procedure because you cannot compare it to any other drug out there...also
the term "disassociation" frightened me. The initial consultation was $135 which was right where it should be. The ketamine treatment costs
$464 and this is not covered by insurance. They only cover the ketamine treatment for depression, not pain. I want to mention that the office
is very beautiful, pristine and has welcoming furnishings. They have you in a recliner and you listen to some soothing music
and wear a eye mask. Your have several choices of music with the headphones they provide. The room is very dark and the temperature was
perfect. I did bring a jacket to cover myself to feel more grounded. Dr. Watson was there when I arrived and that made me feel better because my
'Horse sense" was telling me to run! They have 3 treatment rooms and it seems that his business is thriving and should be compared to the other
options in Reno.
The gals at the front desk are lovely and have such healing and wonderful energy, just a delight. I also liked Dr. Watson very much and he didn't
give me the "bums rush" during our consultation. He was very patient, kind and super knowledgeable about this treatment. Even though my 6th
sense was giving me pause I went ahead and scheduled for the following Thursday @ noon. I didn't drink coffee that morning because Dr. Watson
wanted me to go in a meditative state (third eye) kind of place. The nurse that does the injection, checks your vitals, ect. Is not a nice person.
She comes off very cold and unfriendly... so different than all the other staff. I was incredibly nervous (with good reason) so Dr. Watson came in
and gave me a nice pep talk. The first 5 minutes was fine since they wait for the medicine to come down the line. It was awful my mind kept going to
a very dark place, I kept trying to think of happy things but it went all wrong for me, I think I pressed the panic button at the 40 minute mark. Tara the
nurse that does all the injections, vitals, ect. came in and made some negative comments about me trying to "control" the treatment, sorry I interrupted you early. She did
walk me to my husbands car and I was apologizing to her the entire way...I was so out of my mind and unstable but I just had to get home to my safe
woman cave, my female sanctuary. That woman used the smallest vein in my arm, that one has Never been used before because good nurses go for the biggest in the middle!
I felt miserable the rest of Thursday and slept the entire day on Friday. I still felt weird on Saturday so I just drank water and swam. We had houseguests scheduled to
come for a weekend visit but Joe had to cancel. I literally couldn't have entertained. As I'm writing this I finally feel like the old Mary Ann!
Dr. Watson called and left me a nice voicemail in inviting me to come back for a post treatment appointment to discuss other options he has in mind for treatment of
this pain. I don't think going back is a good idea at this point, the fact he has such a miserable human working in this office doesn't bod well for his judgement. I've been blessed
very powerful 6th sense. . My mother also had this gift and a IQ of 165. She was a freshman in college at 15. Anyway I have used this
sense for everything in my life and it's been super beneficial/ lucrative for me. This time I ignored it was the last straw for ignoring it in the future. It has served me so well
that I know I'm lucky to have it. Oh and I don't have that I.Q. ;)
My reasoning for the 4 star is solely because of that nurse. Everyone else in that office is a complete dream and great healing positive energy. I don't enjoy when
I must say the truth about my experience of everything that happened. It would be great to give 5 perfect scores to all businesses. I pride myself with brutally honest
review writing. It's so annoying I'm going to have to put concealer on my arm for weeks to cover the damage she inflicted. read more
