Update: Jessica gave me a prompt call after seeing my review and asked me to call her back as she had the quote in front of her and that Jonathan was able to extend a discount for my troubles. I was able to contact her back 2 days later to request the "proposal", she had my email, but never sent it to me until I asked over the phone. I'm not sure if she had other things to do, but the email didn't come through so I let her know through Yelp messages and she resent it again. Third times the charm! Unfortunately even with the discount they are a lot pricier than some other competitors and I still have my doubts about this company. I hope others have a better experience than I did, although it wasn't that bad, but I do like people who can deliver what was promised in a timely manner or an update at least if the proposal wasn't ready. I would give this company zero stars if possible. I messaged them about a getting an estimate and their manager Jessica responds. She asks me to look on their website and they would be able to give me an estimate, I sent them a design I was interested in and she said she would have Jonathan come out to do an estimate for me. I sent the design 6/29/19 9:42am and no response until 7/9/19 at 9:35am. At this point I'm already skeptical and also told Jessica I Hope if I do go with their company, I wouldn't have any timely issues like this. She assured me I would. I went ahead and scheduled the estimate for 7/10/19 at 10am and was told I'd get the estimate in a few days. 7/17/19 I message Jessica again and asked for a status. She says she will reach out to Jonathan and get back to me, but another day has passed. Currently 7/18/19 at 3:32pm. After reading a review about this company having contract issues and putting liens on peoples property, I'm definitely going to steer clear of them. I find it also odd they looked up who the owner of the property I requested an estimate to be made on as well. I have not had this issue with other fabricators. read more

My old gate was done. Wind gusts would catch the mesh background and it would blow open. With my new puppy, I knew I needed a gate that would keep him in the yard and not blow open. I contacted Sierra and said I needed a new gate, with no mesh, a concrete base (to keep the puppy from tunneling out), and no more than two inches of space anywhere so he couldn't squeeze out. A guy came in the morning for estimate. He said he will email me the estimate that afternoon. The next day came I called and asked for it, the lady said on the phone he's doing it right now. 2 days later still none. I don't think I wanna give my business to them. Super please with our new gate. Everyone we dealt with was prompt, professional, and on time - all qualities that seem to be all too rare when working with local trades. We gave them a design for a quote. They gave us a ball park price, later came and measured once to confirm price, and a second time when we made the purchase. Two weeks later our new iron courtyard gate was installed. It matched the picture perfectly. The installers even came back a second day to touch up some concrete that had chipped and everything looks amazing. We got four other quotes - 1 was a horrendous experience, 1 no showed, and all were at least $400 more with a 4 - 6 week wait. read more

So our main RV gate latch gets broken by the wind last week! This is a different gate than the 1 Sierra Iron recently replaced. They came out next did and did a great welding job, for a great price, we so appreciate them as our yard was unsecure! We'll be using them from now on! Cannot give enough praise to Sierra Iron. Our HOA notified us that our iron gate was rusted in spots and needed to be repaired. I called Sierra Iron based on a neighbor's recommendation and they came out the next day to give us a very fair estimate which we agreed to. A couple of days later they came to remove the fence to take it back to their shop (the only way it could be repaired) and said we would have it back in two days. Well, lo and behold, they said the fence was ready the next day! Two workers came to reinstall the fence - they took their time, made sure everything was level, touched up any spots that needed it and replaced two posts on another section of fence that were also rusted. From start to finish, everything worked like clockwork. They came when they said they would, were careful and considerate of our property, and the fence came back looking like brand-new. We are looking forward to working with them in the future to take advantage of their artistic design expertise for a gate. read more

Sierra Iron made us a double custom awning for the twin windows on the front of our house. Awnings are not the usual product for them but they did an excellent job of following my drawings and providing their own computer aided drawings. Sierra Iron fabricators are very good craftsmen. Working with Ramon was pleasant and he was very patient when we decided on a change. It was done quickly for a minimal additional cost. Be very careful if you try to do business with this company. There's a reason why they don't have hardly any reviews. I hired them to provide a fence installation. Once the scope of the job changed, I asked for a revised contract. They refused. So I cancelled the contract. After I cancelled, they installed a 6' section of fencing & then sent me a notice to lien my property. I forced them to remove it. I hired another company, an ethical one. I then received a demand letter from their attorney demanding payment in full for a job that was never done. They are now suing me over this. They will lose, but this is a highly unethical company. I will bring this story to the news outlets so other consumers can be aware. read more
