I ordered two desks and accessories to go with them, for our new apartment in April. Both arrived…read moredamaged on different days: one desktop was partially crunched and delaminated during shipping, mainly due to flaws in the packaging itself, and the other's base hardware was manufactured bent. We were able to put the latter one together but it makes a weird sound when it goes up and down. We tried to return the damaged desktop -- Workrite agreed to a return, yet a) they instructed me to dispose of the desktop at my own expense, which ended up costing $167 for haul-away service, and b) they received the other hardware I returned on 5/22 (two unopened boxes) and it took them three weeks to issue a refund. No one from Workrite has addressed the quality issues. At your own risk doing business with them: Damaged products due to weak packaging and manufacturing, and lackluster customer service -- when your company is called "Workrite" you'd expect them to hold to higher quality and service standards.

I just upgraded my operating system to OS X 10.6 the other week, then found the plotter didn't work. After a bit of research online I read to my dismay the new OS wouldn't run the 650C at all. Refusing to believe I had to buy another $2000 plotter, I called Peter to see if there was any way I could run it off an old machine. Well Peter walked me through all the steps I needed to get ol' Workhorse up and running again -- not just from another computer, but from my main machine -- defying all the gurus online! This was over two phone calls and nearly an hour of his unpaid time, yeeeeaars after I bought the thing, mind you, and without a hint of cajoling me toward buying a newer machine. Thank you Plotter Pros!

Finding Alistair has been such a relief and a blessing…read more He is a totally rad human. He shows up on time and fixes my problems with grace and tact and proficiency. In the past, my experience with the IT community has not been all that "professional" - showing up late, missing appointments, having ZERO personality and on one or two other occasions: creating more problems. NOT WITH ALISTAIR. Not only is he professional but he has a personality ahnnnd is up-to-date on current things happening with computers and networks and all the things that makes us average (non-IT) people go bonkers. A little background: He has worked on four of my office computers, pointed me in the right direction for a new laptop, networked three printers, set up my new laptop with ALL the info from the old, dead laptop, got in and did IT things that I can't even explain but were making daily office operations miserable: scanner not scanning, printers printing ONE.PAGE.AT.A.TIME.., hooked me up with a program that allows me to access my work computer/files (for free) from my laptop which....means...I'm headed to a beach in Mexico and can work with my toes in the warm, sunny sand.
