I ordered two desks and accessories to go with them, for our new apartment in April. Both arrived damaged on different days: one desktop was partially crunched and delaminated during shipping, mainly due to flaws in the packaging itself, and the other's base hardware was manufactured bent. We were able to put the latter one together but it makes a weird sound when it goes up and down.
We tried to return the damaged desktop -- Workrite agreed to a return, yet a) they instructed me to dispose of the desktop at my own expense, which ended up costing $167 for haul-away service, and b) they received the other hardware I returned on 5/22 (two unopened boxes) and it took them three weeks to issue a refund.
No one from Workrite has addressed the quality issues.
At your own risk doing business with them: Damaged products due to weak packaging and manufacturing, and lackluster customer service -- when your company is called "Workrite" you'd expect them to hold to higher quality and service standards. read more
