My mother in law paid for me to get my hair done here for my birthday. I was very excited because it had been over a year since I had my hair done professionally. I always dye my hair blonde, but had pretty bad roots because I hadn't dyed it the whole time I was pregnant. I went to a few different salons in the area when I moved from California in 2010, and got my usual cut and color. This one was convenient because it was close to home, and I was looking for my new regular hairdresser.
My hair is long and thick and usually stylists charge me extra, but this lady didn't... So maybe that should've been a red flag? She somehow fried my hair! I've been coloring it blonde for years, and never had it turn out bad. It was yellow and orange, and my scalp burned for days. She also took about 4 hours, and we ran out of time to cut it, so I had to make another appointment to come back. I left with wet, crispy, brassy hair. I didn't use heat on my hair for about a month, and used bottles of argan oil to nurse my poor hair back to health.
My hair cut a few days later when she could squeeze me in was good, so that's why I gave 2 stars.
If you get a cut only this place is a go, but if you need color then stay far, far away! read more
