Their appears to be softbal fields on one side of the park. This park is massive! We see other leisurely morning walkers, folks with their fur babies on leashes and even small groups of family members and friends enjoying the park. We did not realize until reading the signage, that Walnut Creek park is a nature park. Totally makes sense given the lush nature of the park. Cyclists ride down the trail with vigor and position. The park is alive! Really enjoyed our power walk.., This family friendly park has an array of playground equipment for children. The is also a large empty swimming pool in background...unsure if it's operational. Picnic tables are strategically sprinkled throughout the park.

We had our kids in a wagon stroller so needed a stroller-friendly trail. It's a long trail (not a loop) so we just walked it to the creek and turned back. Trailhead is to the right of playground. Playground was pretty nice (with an area for smaller toddlers) but parents could have been more conscientious (some kids were throwing rocks down the slide).

I went under contract for personal training thru my current gym -- Fitness Connection Clear Creek…read moreAustin, Texas location. I am a 100% permanent and total disabled veteran. All of which I made the trainer aware of prior to signing the contract. After just two sessions of the trainer not respecting my physical limitations, my back locked up and sent me to the emergency room. This episode continued into three weeks of excruciating pain and limited mobility. The emergency room trip took place in December, I have not been back to the gym since. Upon reviewing my contract, I saw there is a "Cancellation Policy No Fee" clause stating, "if by reason of death or permanent disability, the customer is unable to continue the Agreement, Buyer or Buyer's estate shall be relieved from the obligations of the contract, and if buyer has prepaid any sum, the unused portion shall be promptly refunded. Legitimate doctor's office note and verification of permanent disability/permanent inability to participate in the activities or death of customer is required." I have provided official letters from my VA primary care physician, VA chiropractor, as well as my VA verification letter of my permanent and total 100% disability status for review of medical termination. The elevate fitness contact "Jon Nelson" has rejected all documents as insufficient, claiming to need further specification of physical restrictions and duration of restrictions -- other than the permanent 100% disability and restriction from anything heavier than five lbs or any activity that worsens my chronic conditions...? I have asked to speak to someone above him, as well as attempting to put in my official 30 day cancellation request -- both with no response. At this point, I could not in good faith recommend the personal training services here to anyone under any circumstances. There is a clear lack of care or concern for the actual health and long term wellbeing of their clients. Their only notable concern is profit with no regard to conducting ethical business.

Powerhouse Gymnastics has been such a blessing for our family. Brooke has been attending since she…read morewas just 3 years old, and now at 6, she's proudly on the trampoline and tumbling team. Watching her grow here has been incredible. Coach Grace has been so patient and intentional with Brooke, truly serving as an amazing mentor both in and out of the gym. Coach Nina is wonderful as well -- both coaches genuinely care about their athletes and it shows. The front desk staff is always kind, organized, and quick to respond to any questions we have, which makes everything run so smoothly. This gym has helped our daughter grow tremendously in the sport of gymnastics, but even more importantly, it has built her confidence. We are so thankful to Powerhouse and everything they do for these kids.

Yanaguana is one of the best (if not the best) kid playground/park in the city!…read more Yanaguana Garden is located within Hemisfair. The park itself includes multiple sections for all ages including the main playground which was designed to be an inclusive space and follows the American Disabilities Act standards for public playgrounds. A new toddler play area which is perfect for babies and toddlers. There is also the Union Pacific splash pad which is only open during certain months of the year, so make sure to check their calendar for hours. They also have a sand play area, as well as another section with small games like ping pong, chess and many more games. Overall, this garden/park offers a wide range of outdoor activities for people of all ages. I've been taking my kid here since he was born and as he is growing and exploring new areas of Yanaguana I can truly see how well thought off this park is. To all the locals that don't travel to downtown too often, I would definitely recommend giving this park a chance before winter comes. Also, for all the tourists coming with little ones that need the space to run around for a couple of hours, this is most definitely the spot for you!

I even liked how the park have plenty of seats and benches you can sit and relax on. Overall this was a fun day trip and plan to come back here in the near future.

Only thing I will mention is there tends to be quite a bit of litter around the area. It would be nice to see more upkeep!
