I wanted to join the Secret Service and one of their mandated requirements is to get eye surgeries. However, I was never given a transparent explanation on how thick or thin my corneas are. I'd read about the horrors of lasik eye surgery, and the recent suicide of a police officer really made me think twice and such. Dr. Feinerman gives you evaluations for free on that stuff. My heart goes out to that police officer's family and friends for their loss. Dr. Feinerman and his team are so wonderful and amazing. They have these machines that thoroughly examine your eyes and even has a small machine one the size of a small coffee maker you'd find at Target that tells you how old your prescription glasses are. I went to see my ophthalmologist & he said he wouldn't medically clear me unless the surgeon is Dr. Tooma. I finally get around to getting a consultation & specifically asked for Dr. Tooma. He also had very limited appts since he is the OG in eye procedures! My patient Liason was Jennfier, who is a total sweetheart. Dr. Tooma was awesome in explaining why he recommended EVO ICL over lasix. He was also one of the original surgeons who brought all this technology to California. Now I can see why my ophthalmologist wanted me to specifically see him. I decided to go with his recommendation since he is the expert. Pre-op procedures were very extensive, which I don't mind at all. I opted to purchase the medicated eyedrops through them. The procedure itself was at a different location nearby. Entire staff has been wonderful. I had my procedure done yesterday. I returned to the clinic in the afternoon for a post op check & also came back earlier today. I have not been able to drive due to the healing process, but I should be able to see. I am still sensitive to the light and there's still a lot of inflammation in both eyes. I found her by a recommendation from another excellent ophthalmologist in a different field. I came to her office with a client, who was initially quite stressed and irritable because of severe health challenges. Within just a few appointments. I watched how Dr. Reznik's compassionate care turned my client from a tough patient into a real fan. Every time, doctor took time to make my client feel comfortable, physically and mentally, and addressed our many questions and concerns. She just makes you feel save and respected, which is very important for my client's delicate psyche. It goes without saying, that Dr. Reznik lived up to the high recommendations we received from the referring specialist.
