This place is amazing - whether you're a seasoned boxer or never boxed in your life. Peter is a great teacher and so is everyone else who instructs any of the classes. The community of people who train here are very supportive. This gym doesn't feel like an establishment that is trying to just make money. Peter genuinely cares about your progress and your growth as a fighter. Everyone is always trying to help you get better and stronger. The first few sessions consisted of me breathing like I was in Lamaze class and wondering what kind of heart attack I was going to have. Brendan; my trainer never stopped encouraging me and assured me that I could do these things if I just stayed the course. The mind/body connection was constantly talked about and the positive energy in this place will motivate you even on a bad day. There are some tough looking dudes there but they smile and welcome you like you are family. Fast forward two months. I'm down almost 30 pounds, I'm sleeping better, and my mind is radiating energy and positivity. They teach you to push your limits and overcome things here. My endurance has increased ten fold and I'm doing workouts with my high school football intensity and seeing results in the mirror mentally and physically. If you want to hang out at a juice bar and take selfies in between sets while you barely sweat, this place isn't for you. If you want to come in, really work, and leave looking like you just showered in your clothes, and truly see results then this is the place for you.

The thing thay stands out to me about this studio is that Mr. Cornwell trained under some renowned people such as Guro Dan Inosanto (i.e. a close friend of Bruce Lee (disciple of Ip Man)). I will definitely be going back for more and highly recommend this studio for those who want to learn martial arts for practicality.

"He's a 155'er (red flag) coming out of martial arts unlimited (which has been gone for YEARS). Peter is a fighting, not an instructor.. you'll be shown a combo for BJJ QUICK, then Peter sits in the corner and catches up on MMA highlights. Oh, you're a paying member here? Don't you dare bug him.... Shortly after starting at this POS "gym", I was informed that I was a no good if I wasn't ready to compete in 1 month, then ignored when I needed instruction for BJJ. It's meatheads and bully's in 10th planet RO. Their "Muay Thai" is freestyle fighting and nothing more- "Michigan Kickboxing academy". Uhhh I don't even know where to begin. Title offers the first class free so you are able to test out boxing, before making a monthly or annual membership commitment. Before my first class, I was super nervous but the second I stepped into the gym, I was instantly put at ease because everyone was so welcoming!! The instructor for the class, The Godfather, (all of the instructors have their own, unique names) wrapped my hands for me and showed me the basic punches. The classes are offered in various time lengths, from 30 to 75 minutes and all classes have a very challenging abdominal workout built in. Also, boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts are all offered so there is something for everyone! Title is so much fun and a great workout in such a fun, fast-paced environment.
