There was an older gentleman, he looked like he was in outer space, mumbling his words, seemed confused, shaking, didn't say hardly anything about the wine, just mumbled, poured and walked away. Also, we had to keep reminding him we needed our next pour. There was also a younger (ish) guy there, super awkward, weird eye contact, not very friendly and didn't seem to know much. First time here and a bit put off. We went to 2 other wineries in the area and did not like the wine and much, but the vibe and staff were pleasant and seemed to like their job and know what they were talking about (for the most part) Mixed feelings on this one, need better staff?

They were a bit more heavy on the cabernet sauvignon that I would expect a central coast winery to be, but it was good stuff. The best one of course was the last one, which was the Ten Goal. Really well rounded and full bodied red with lots of fruit. I ended up shipping 2 bottles back home I liked it so much. Loved the vibe here and how down to earth they were. I hate the snootiness of wine culture and there was none of that here. Just really well made stuff. Will be back next time I'm in town!

And on a beautiful Santa Barbara afternoon, seated in their comfy cozy patio area, our gracious host Paul took us through our tasting and made sure we knew exactly which vineyard each wine came from. We learned so much about the process of making Sparkling Wine, and why each glass was so special. And as we went through our tasting we had the opportunity to also enjoy working on their custom hand carved wooden puzzles. Something we had never experienced before, and they helped to make the tasting all the more enjoyable. They also offer a Santa Rita Hills Rosé of Pinot Noir, and a Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc. Both of which we purchased for our next Springtime picnics. They also have a fun tasting area inside, both at their bar and inside tables. Although we didn't get a chance to meet winemaker Laura and Taco (they both had the day off), we look forward to coming back to Loubud very soon. Really can't say enough about how delicious the wines are, you really need to experience them yourselves.

On my recent trip to Santa Barbara we saw this advertisement for side car tours. I gave it a shot and man was I impressed. The driver was very knowledgeable and Nice. We went to 2 different wineries in the city. Which were great. We also did a scenic tour of the city. We saw. We saw mountains and ocean. Everywhere we go everywhere we go people look and wait look and wave. The bikes are very well maintained clean waxed. read more

What an incredible experience! We had never been to Santa Barbara before and decided to explore in style. Called to tell Michael that I had to cancel and rather than be bitter, he was giving me recommendations on where to go, which winery has the best type of wine, etc. etc. Just based off of giving great recommendations (which I'll be using) despite me cancelling my tour with him shows a lot of class. A lot of other reviewers can speak to the experience but Michaels character deserved a 5-star review alone.

The longer: My boyfriend and I were looking to do a private wine tasting for the two of us. I contacted Michael a month or so in advance, was able to pre-pay by credit card (yes - points!!), and found Michael to be so warm and helpful. We got picked up exactly on time in a Mercedes truck and drove 45 minutes to Santa Ynez. We started at Grassini family vineyards - where Jared led us through an incredible tasting experience, and gave us a tour of the property, including the wine cellar and wine production areas. Michael had set up an adorable picnic for us near the lake, but we weren't quite hungry yet, so without question - he picked up and we moved onto the next spot. It was pretty hard to top Grassini, but Roblar Vineyard was beautiful, had such nice staff and an outdoor area where Michael set up a second picnic for us - complete with paninis, chips & glass plates, silverware and cloth napkins. For our last stop, Michael gave us options: we opted to go into Los Olivos - a cute little town with tons of tasting rooms and bars. We had another tasting included and he gave us some free time to drunkenly wonder around town (aka walk across the street). We did Dragonette's tasting room, which was good (but at this point we were both pretty drunk) and then popped across the street, so we could try local beer. Michael dropped us home - and even gave us dinner and local brewery and tasting room suggestions! Thank you, Michael, for a really memorable experience! Four stars I think is solid for the most part but here's some feedback on the remaining star: 1- It was my understanding that the company had actual coupons for different places but NOT the first place we went (because another group of folks already had a tour booked) - so the tasting was a tad pricy at $25 per person. Only 1 of 3 wineries/wine shops we visited honored their "2 for 1 tasting coupon" which was "tell them Tony sent you" - and even that place was a bit confused but still honored it. 2- All love Tony, but when you ask on the way back "who likes country?" and your met with crickets - but you play it anyway for the next 30 minutes - probably best to read the room/crowd ...... very much not a big deal, but an observation. Tony does provide a nice energy for groups like these. Nick was super responsive and helpful with making my reservation as there were a few hiccups with the site. Thanks again for your help! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions we had. I'd be happy to attend another tour with Stagecoach in the future.
