Totally Cali Tours is by far the best wine and chocolate and walking tours I have ever experienced. Melissa our guide was very knowledgeable about the, area, history, and architecture. Best part is the relationship she has with the local businesses you visit, which gives you a very personal intimate experience. For me the stop at Silver Wines was by far the best wine tasting ever, Benjamin being really immersed and passionate about his wines. Melissa is so down to earth after a while it felt like visiting with a dear friend who wanted to introduce you to everyone in town she knows, and I cannot recommend Totally Cali enough because of this. A1 top of the charts experience.

    So much fun!

Absolute BEST wine tour! Top-notch tasting experience at a surprisingly low cost...and the tastings fees were INCLUDED in the price of the tour. I highly recommend putting this at the top of your Santa Barbara "to do" list. While I have used various other wine touring companies in the past and have enjoyed them all, I'm so happy that I discovered and booked a wine tour with the relatively new company Totally Cali Tours. The experience was superb and the highlight of my most recent visit to Santa Barbara on 8/17/18. In a nutshell, Totally Cali Tours was my favorite out of all my many previous wine tours due to the well-planned itinerary, seamless VIP experience, fun and professional tour guide (Melissa), delightfully tasty boutique wineries, and the low cost of the tour for what it includes. We were chauffeured in a classy company van to 4 wineries, one olive oil tasting, lunch, and a historical bonus stop. Here are a few of the highlights: Comfort and Timeliness: We were picked up at our hotel precisely on time in a new, very clean, comfortable, company van (with a maximum of 8 seats). Personality: Melissa was knowledgeable, personable, entertaining, fun, helpful, accommodating and kind. During the 40 minute drive from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez, Melissa was not only friendly and personable, but she was also interesting and informative. As we drove, Melissa pointed out landmarks and shared the fascinating history associated with what we saw... From fun facts, to fascinating history of the region as well as why the area is perfectly suited for winegrowing... I was impressed with her knowledge and it made the drive fun and interesting. In addition, to perfectly choreographing this tour for us, Melissa also also was sweet to take photos of us throughout the tour as well as carrying and safely storing the wine we bought. Itinerary and VIP experience: Each of the four boutique Wineries were superb in wine quality, scenery, and staff attentiveness. Each winery had different specialties. I was impressed that Melissa clearly arranged a special appointment for us, because from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. We never had to wait in line, and were made to feel like we were the only people tasting. Later in the day we stopped at a small farm that had olive oil tastings for their homemade flavored olive oil. I now have my new secret-ingredient of rosemary garlic olive oil. Yum! For lunch, Melissa had arranged for us to have lunch at a splendid Italian restaurant that is often hard to get into. The food was divine and the perfectly cooked salmon melted in my mouth. Melissa had a cooler of bottled water that she seemed to magically pull lout at the right moments. Later, at one of the small wineries, we even had an exclusive, private tasting inside the barrel-room of the winery. Here, one of the staff poured the various wines as she educated us on the history of the winery and wine maker, including the challenges they have had growing the grapes, variables that effect the flavor of the wine, growing, picking, processing and aging. It was fascinating! As we learned about the process she poured the wine and let us taste the variations in the wine that she was describing. I could actually taste the subtle differences that she was describing! It was such a fun, cool experience and the whole thing made my boyfriend and I feel very special. At the end of the tour, as we were heading back, I asked Melissa if we could stop at Cold Springs Tavern briefly. Cold Springs Tavern is a historic location and I was hoping to show the historic building and cool location to my boyfriend. Even though it wasn't in the plan, Melissa was so sweet and accommodating to make this extra stop for us. Value: This was an all-day wine tour that included door to door picked-up and drop-off from where we where staying in Santa Barbara, it INCLUDED all the wine tastings fees (which surprised me at this price point), olive oil tasting, reservations for lunch, photos, bottled water, etc. Totally Cali Tours is a hidden gem and has raised the bar on the wine-tour experience. We had a splendid time and I can't wait to do it again. I will certainly be rebooking a wine tour with Melissa as well as trying some of her other local tours. Thank you so much Melissa for a fabulous experience!

I went with a group of friends on a Totally Cali tour last weekend and had the best time! They set up all the tastings, provided comfortable transport and the best part was all the history and pop culture references throughout the whole tour. They even had a play list tailored for reach piece of history. Hands down, THE BEST wine tour I have ever been on.

Amazing experience! I definitely would recommend this touring company. Our guide, Melissa, was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. I will absolutely do this again.

En Fuego Events always puts on incredible festivals throughout SB County, but this one stands out to me because of it's small local feel. When you think festival you probably think Coachella or some massive event on a field somewhere. Buckles 'n' Brews is a smaller sized, half indoor half outdoor, beer sampling event at a hidden carriage museum right by downtown Santa Barbara. Don't be fooled though, there's plenty of parking despite the location size. This fest has everything from IPAs to refreshing ciders, Tri-Tip BBQ sandwiches and home brewed hoppy. Each year the vendors slightly vary and the beers themselves are always new and unique. There's fantastic live music played by the Dusty Jugz which always ends up in a "stage" full of line dancers. I'd recommend this festival to anyone looking to have a wild western themed Saturday with close friends and locals alike, dancing to country and lifting a cheers to craft beers in a nice, local intimate location.

So awesome to get in this event and tried as much beers as I can. So much fun the beer I like the most is the High Heat Edition from The Brewhouse, it habanero spicy, love it...found my new beer. There is pretzels to snack on. Drink and play! It a great event where we can relax and enjoy with country music and tastes all kind of great beers. She was super chill and fun, and just the kind of person you want to go beer tasting with. She is extremely knowledgeable about brewing, so it was awesome to hear about how the different beers are made, and understand why they taste the way they do. Second, can we talk about the fact that a fun bus picks you up and drives you to your preselected list of breweries? That alone is cause for celebration. And third, the beer tastings were tasty and varied, which I very much appreciated. We tried lagers, IPAs, porters, saisons, wheat ales, etc. A total of 12 tastings, and all expertly picked. So, all that said, I'd definitely go again and try a few new breweries!

Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the more disappointing parts of the trip. The seating is tightly packed. I understand maximizing capacity, but at 6'6" it was not comfortable. We moved to the front right side where there is a sideways bench behind the driver, which offered more legroom. That felt like a smart move until we realized most of the sights being pointed out were on the left side of the trolley. It felt like about 80 percent of the tour was oriented that direction, which meant we were constantly twisting around and still missing details. If you book this tour, sit on the left side. The narration also felt disorganized. The driver mentioned he was reading the traffic flow incorrectly and ended up doing much of the route "backwards." Because of that, he would introduce a historical figure or landmark, then later circle back and partially repeat the same information when reaching his usual talking point. There was noticeable repetition and filler instead of a smooth, cohesive storyline. Midway through the tour, there is a stop at Mission Santa Barbara for about 15 minutes. While it is nice to get off and stretch your legs, 15 minutes is nowhere near enough time to meaningfully experience the mission. You can walk through the courtyard and take a few photos, but that is about it. The mission deserves more time than a quick pass through. In practice, the stop felt more like a checkbox than a real opportunity to explore. Another frustration was departure time. The 2:00 p.m. tour did not leave at 2:00. The driver waited past the scheduled time to see if additional passengers would join. When you are visiting from out of town and carefully stacking your schedule, those extra 10 to 15 minutes matter. Overall, for about $30 per person, I expected a more polished and better organized experience. We both left disappointed. If you want a meaningful introduction to Santa Barbara, you may be better off exploring key spots on your own at your own pace.
