This was a great tour that accommodated our schedule. Two of the three wineries we went to were fantastic, one was not my personal preference but others on the tour liked it. There were a total of 10 people, with a max of 12/14 on the tour. Our driver was Cary and he was super helpful. He made sure we did not feel rushed at any point in time, yet we stayed on schedule. He carried all items we purchased to our front door. Additionally he made an effort to remember everyone's names. Overall a great time, would recommend the tour and especially with Cary. read more

I got to experience a tour with Grapeline yesterday and it was sooo fun! They were able to pick us up from any hotel and we actually live in the Santa Ynez area so they identified the closest hotels near our house and we were able to walk and still get picked up and dropped off near our house. They were waiting for us upon arrival. Appreciate the timeliness! The day was scheduled out so well and I never found myself waiting around wondering when we were doing the next thing. Our first winery included a private tour and I think they even opened up early for us- so cool! It seriously felt like we were VIP. The ease of scheduling a fun day was what made the experience so nice. Grapeline figured out our lunch, handled scheduling the winery visits, and provided all of the transportation. It took so much of the planning off our to-do list so we could just sit back and enjoy the day. The staff were seriously all so nice. Our driver, Cary, was so friendly and offered to take photos for us. The vehicles are super comfy and well maintained. We also really enjoyed getting to meet the people on the tour! Everyone was in such a great mood and easy to chat with throughout the day! The Grapeline company owners were actually on our tour and they were so nice. It felt really cool to get to meet them and experience a tour they were on as well! Spent a glorious day with our fab tour guide Cary. This was our second tour on Grapeline, the first was 2 years ago in Temecula. Cary was a hoot to be with. He suggested places to go for the remainder of our time in the area. Look for us taking over the Karaoke bar in Solvang! There was good bonding in our small group. Cary made it all possible with his natural ability to include everyone in conversation. We started the day at Blackjack Ranch. The hostess was Allison. Great hostess who interacted well with all the couples on the tour She was loaded with knowledge about wines, "California Blackjack" and the ranch. I enjoyed the grilled veggie sandwich I ordered for lunch, my husband devoured his chicken sandwich so it must have been good. Picked up a case of wine to enjoy with our holiday meals. An extra stop was made at an olive ranch. tasted several olive oils. OMG, my heart was stolen by the 3 ranch fur babies. I love dogs. Next stop was Rideau Vineyard. The grounds were beautiful. They seemed to be short staffed as we didn't have the engaging customer service as at the other 2 stops. Last stop was Vega Vineyards. Bobby was the GREATEST host on this day of wine. He was attentive to all the guests at our table. Knowledgable about all the wine he poured and threw in a couple extra drinkable goodies for us. We purchased a cheese platter, and took home dinner as there is no way we were leaving the hotel tonight. Our new drinking pal Mary bought cheesecake for everyone in our group. We just met but are planning another couples escape in January or February. Overall, this went beyond what we expected and was a memorable anniversary trip! read more

Our driver, Anthony, picked us up at our hotel on time. We went to 3 different wineries and had a sandwich lunch at the second. The tour van was immaculate and Anthony had bottled water for us. We did have to ask Anthony a few times to turn the radio down while he was talking. We were seated in the back row of the tour van, with stereo speakers right next to us. The other 3 guests on the tour had no trouble hearing him, as they were closer to him with no stereo speakers next to them. Each time we asked, he quickly accommodated. Our driver was a nice gentleman who picked us up at our hotel (and drop off), drove us around Solvang wineries and handled all the details so literally all we had to do was show up and drink wine. He kept us on schedule so that we would see all four wineries in a timely fashion. Lunch was prepared for everyone after the second winery (you get to choose your lunch option beforehand, includes chips, cookie and salad or sandwich). We shared the very nice shuttle bus (leather seats and smooth driving) with a few other groups but it wasn't crowded at all and everyone was very nice. Surprisingly, our group consisted of one couple and a bachelorette party so very young. The driver picked them up in Santa Barbara so their pickup range is pretty wide. We spent about 1.5 hours per winery and driving between each winery was about 10 or so minutes. All very close to each other. The intiernary was a mystery until we got into the bus. Our tour lasted about 6-ish hours and we stayed in Solvang so the drive home was short. I'm sure if you stayed in Santa Barbara, the drive back would be much longer. Overall, very good service but it's definitely more on the wineries to give you the actual wine tour/tasting/knowledge. The driver was just in charge of logistics and setup. read more

This is our first time doing this tour but not our first experience with Grapeline. Compared to Temecula this was a different experience. Less people and not hectic. It was quite and the scenery was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want something low key. I was not disappointed.
