Love love Side Track coffee. Whenever we get the chance to visit my sister and her family in Auburn, we always try to make it a point to visit this place. I love their pay however you want system, their baristas and most importantly, their coffee. I love the open, bright area. They have bar right in the middle with high chairs for people to come sit and watch/converse with the baristas at work. Never really like coffee chain type of drinks. I love mom and pops, independent coffee shops. Drinks are more personalized, dedicated and I learned how to appreciate coffee in its entirety. You guys there is a reason this place has been given 5 stars by everyone reviewing so far. Its awesome. The vibe of this place is cozy but industrial and the coffee is out of this world. They only have a small selection of drinks but each one is so good and you can tell the staff here cares about making each cup delicious. This would be a great place to study or to just hang out with some friends. The coolest thing about this place is there are no set prices for the drinks, you just pay for what you think the drink is worth. So don't be a jerk. Went to this coffee shop last week. I got an iced Almond Milk Latte and it was absolutely delish. The almond milk brand they use is so much better than Starbucks!!! They have some nice couches that you can sit on a catch up with friends. The music they play is wonderful and I actually found some new jams to add to my playlist. I visited for the first time today and absolutely loved it! The interior is beautiful and very minimalistic. I had an espresso, which was perfect. You can ask for a glass bottle of water, which is served with a small glass. I really enjoyed that classy service. The baristas were friendly and service was quick. The bathrooms were also very clean and there is lots of sitting room. You can pay what you want for the drinks, so consider asking what size the drink will be before you pay. Their sizes are a bit smaller than you'd expect. I'm coming back for sure, though! read more

But through my fatigue haze I saw, to my surprise, a place with five stars, and stumbled on over. The coffee is top notch, and deserves the great rating. Delicious coffee with a nice ambiance. Upon walking in, I was greeted by an open layout, rustic wood floors, and a minimalist aesthetic. I walked up to the front of the bar and the barista took my order. As it was my first time here, I asked for recommendations and was directed to the seasonal specials page of the menu. Everything looked good, but I chose the "young man," an iced espresso beverage with cream and cinnamon. Upon inserting my credit card to pay, the barista informed me that they have no prices. You choose what you pay. I promptly entered the amount of an iced latte at Starbucks. I chose to stay and drink my coffee there to have the complete experience. As I waited, the barista brought out a carafe and glass of water. Within 5 minutes, the barista brought my coffee to the table. It was well balanced with smooth espresso, cream, and a little sugar. Sidetrack was awesome!! I was in town to tour Auburn, and my boss recommended that I go check this place out. He recommended their Ethiopian Sidama espresso, and it didn't at all disappoint: very sweet and smooth with notes of vanilla. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it had a laid-back/hipster vibe. Winchester was the barista at the time and he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend Sidetrack to any coffee connoisseur, or anyone looking for a nice place to relax or study. The next time I'm in Opelika I'll definitely be back!! read more

Absolutely adored this spot. Had to come to Opelika for a work trip and needed somewhere to do some work. Happened to come across Side Track and made ourselves comfy to get some work done.
