Love this shop!! Their fall 2024 menu is great. I tried the peach cobbler latte and my friend had the rosemary latte - we both enjoyed our drinks! Will be returning when I'm in the Auburn/Opelika area.

A Very unique coffee shop because they have you choose your own price for the coffee when ringing it up. I was very puzzled when he said this but he was so nice about it. I would definitely like to try this place again. Another note : the patrons were incredibly kind. I chatted to one lady about the coffee shop and she gave me some insight on it. Would highly recommend trying this place out.

This will be a spot I'll always remember. I'm very big into coffee shops and love checking out the local options wherever I find myself. I was not expecting this at all in this tiny town adjacent to Auburn while visiting for training. The space was so inviting with a buzz of happy patrons and friendly baristas. They made their menu accessible in many ways--offering recommendations and it's also "pay what you can" which caught me off guard. We let the experts do their thing and gave a few notes about our preferences--we couldn't have been more pleased with our drinks. This goes down as one of my favorite shops ever. Hoping to make it back before I head home

While on vacation in Auburn this past weekend, some family friends took my wife and I to this hip coffee shop in Opelika. From the moment you pull up to the coffee shop, you instantly feel that you are in downtown Duluth or Woodstock, GA! For those that are from Atlanta, you will know what I mean. This coffee shop is seriously one of a kind! They have a "pay what you want" system. No, seriously. You pay what you feel your coffee is worth! I ordered the Young Man and my wife ordered the Jebron Lames. Our friends ordered the Tom Sawyer and Kick Flip drinks. Talk about unique coffee names! I paid $5 for me and wife's drinks which was phenomenal considering that it typically costs around $8-$13 at Starbucks for two drinks depending on what drink and size(s) you order. What amazed me the most about this coffee shop was the "pay what you want" system. The barista rings your order up on an iPad and then flips the iPad around for you to choose the price you want to pay. While you enter the amount and pay, the barista begins whipping up your drink without even looking at what you entered! They put as much love, care and attention to each drink they serve as if you paid $100 for your drink! This really goes along way, because it shows that they put the satisfaction of their customers far above just making money. We ended up leaving a $5 tip for the barista, because he was awesome, very friendly, helpful and quick with our orders! The second thing that stuck out to me the most about this coffee shop was that each drink was presented in a different looking glass! This really switched up the coffee shop stereotype for cups as compared to your typical plastic cup that you would get at Starbucks or Dunkin. We felt like we were ordering and sipping on drinks from a swanky bar! (insert raised pinky finger here) Definitely add this coffee shop to your list when you are in Auburn or Opelika, AL! It is a very unique experience with a small town local coffee shop feel to it. Keep in mind that seating is limited inside. However, if you go during the non-busy hours, you will find a nice cozy spot around the cafe. We were able to snag the whole "family style" wooden table on the right side of the coffee shop once you walk inside! It seats around 6-8 people.

From stepping in the door to drinking the coffee was an experience. You can tell that they care about their customers and focus on the quality of their drinks. When you hear "handcrafted" that is truly displayed here. I enjoyed a smooth cappuccino that prepared my journey to Chewacla State Park. I'm here for another week and this definitely won't be my last time at Side Track!!

This strawberry milk is a delightful mix of milk, white chocolate and freshly muddled strawberries. I can't stop thinking about this drink.

I spent a few days working remotely from my brother's home just over the state line in Georgia, and decided to finally visit Side Track Coffee after numerous other stops along Railroad Avenue in the past. After just one visit, I made this shop my working space for a few hours each day. The cafe space is sparsely decorated, but it feels very cozy with all of the sunlight coming in through the windows and the skylight. The baristas are great to offer recommendations, but I highly recommend checking out their seasonal menu. This summer, I think the highlight is the strawberry milk. It's an amazing mixture of milk, white chocolate and strawberries muddled right in front of you. I also recommend their drink that is a mixture of cold brew coffee and chocolate milk (I am blanking on the name) as well as the Tom Sawyer, a delightful fizzy espresso drink mixed with ginger ale and blueberries. I was hesitant at first with their "pay what you want" system, but just think about what you'd pay at Starbucks. I didn't know what size the drink was when I paid for my first one, but keep in mind that each one is probably close to a tall or (maybe a) grande at Starbucks. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

There's also the option to buy the beans for home brewing, and I love that there's little bag options for sampling too. Anywhere that serves Wickles is automatically in my good graces. I wish I lived closer, because all of the food they post on Facebook makes me want to dash down there. Although they were having some work done on the place they were still open for business. The young lady that waited on me was very friendly and very informative about their coffee house menu...made it much easier for my selection. While I don't live in the area I could see making this a regular coffee stop did I. PS: even have their own line of whole bean coffee.
