PSA FOR BIPOC: Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would. As someone who is a part of the queer community I was thrilled to experience Coffee Mafia. I thought it could be a safe space for me while I was in town for work. I walked into the shop and was so excited to see they sell art, jewelry and other cool items. I began to look at the items and collect items to purchase. This was over the course of 5-10 minutes and yet no one had greeted me. I was not greeted with a hello, but instead the employee behind the counter accused me of stealing. After proving I had not placed any items in my pockets, I was so thrown off by the encounter I just put the items I had planned to purchase back and I left. This is a PSA FOR BIPOC. Be cautious shopping here. The employee was bold enough to announce a false accusation from behind the counter in a shop full of white people. read more

I used to come here in high school when it was under the old business name. Place was known for how welcoming it was. Today, i was extremely disappointed. Bigger guy with the pink ponytail took our order and was a straight up asshole. We were clearly overwhelmed with menu and he provided no help, didn't even tell us the options for milk/ beverage etc. our actual coffee was very good, which is disheartening because i doubt I would go back due to the attitude of the worker. read more

Please I am begging you to get the salmon bagel it is I come here all the time and this is the first time I've gotten this bagel. It's a bit expensive (but I totally understand why) so I won't be getting it every time, but I would recommend if you are in need of a treat. Paired with the dirty hippie latte it was amazing. Also the vibes in here are great for reading and studying or just hanging out! Really outstanding people and service here. I'll be completely transparent here. I've been a loyal customer of Coffee Mafia since moving to Auburn. I've been through several loyalty cards, and make a stop by multiple times a week. Today however, I'm just appalled. It started when I walked in, and the line was to the back door. They then told us to place a mobile order or we would have to wait. Patiently, we waited in line finally ordered 2 coffees & 2 bagels. That took any other 30+ mins to come out. After the long wait, I bit into my Ham and Cheddar bagel. To my surprise, the cheese wrapper had not been removed from my cheese! The plastic was completely melted into my bagel deeming it inedible! I cannot believe the quality of the service after the years of loyalty to Mama Mocha's and coffee mafia. read more

i have celiac disease, so i honestly never get food out because there's usually too high of a risk of cross contamination for it to be worth it for me. i came in for coffee and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had gluten free options and a separate workspace and toaster to prepare them with an allergen disclaimer on their menu. she stated that they change gloves, use a clean knife, and lay down parchment paper on the separate workspace to prevent cross contamination. this is the first time i was able to eat out without being glutened since being diagnosed with celiac disease. i had a choice between plain and everything bagels, and they had gf toast as an option as well which is more options than i've ever had. there were a ton of great drink options, but i landed on the creme brulee latte which was awesome as well. not too sweet and the shot was pulled perfectly. they have tons of cute art and local goodies to buy as well. there were only two employees working, so it did take a little longer than usual, but their service was great and the food was good enough that i have no complaints. i definitely recommend checking this place out if you have celiac disease or if you're healthy and looking for a great latte with lots of fun choices. read more
