We attended a 5-year-old's birthday party and the balloon twisting was incredibly sophisticated, detailed, and impressive. The huge spider and the Little Mermaid were my favorite creations. Even more fun than the outrageous balloons designs may have been the colorful airbrush tattoos. They sprayed on very quickly so there was never a big line. There were over 50 designs to choose from, and my son got four tattoos, including a flaming basketball on his cheek and a sun on his arm. This is probably the first review of its kind on Yelp, but for parents & others who are planning parties and want a balloon artist, look no further than Jimmie from AdventureBalloons. Some friends recently hired Jimmie for their son's 2nd birthday party, and everyone in attendance was enthralled by the balloon hats, animals, backpacks, and costumes that Jimmie kept himself busy making. The balloon Elmo bore a striking resemblance to the real Elmo, as did the Dora the Explorer and Pooh Bear. I was a little disappointed that he wasn't able (or perhaps interested) in doing a sea otter or sheep (these being my two favorite mammals) but he did make me a very cool backpack-type sculpture. I found sideshow events through yelp and selected it based on the excellent reviews. Thanks fellow yelpers! AMAZING! We threw a superhero party for our seven year-old and hired Daniel as our balloon artist. He captured the attention of all the children for 1.5 hours and made unbelievable balloon creations. Daniel's handle on super hero characters was impressive. He was also good at pretty much anything--his fairies and princesses were beautiful. Every child was ecstatic. We also hired Rene, a cartoon artist, to draw family portraits in superhero outfits as party favors. We looooved the portraits. Some have posted their portraits on Facebook. Most of us will frame the portraits and hang them in our family room. It kicked up the party a notch. As the kids were busy with balloons, the adults watched Rene draw and commented on the details of his drawings and how he captured the likeness of each guest. Our minds were blown. We extended his time twice. It's a lot of work for Rene to draw all the families so expect him to be at your party for a while. Also, although the attire is a small detail, we appreciated Rene showing up in an artist outfit with a beret and vest. It was a nice touch. If you're ever looking for a great balloon artist then this is the place to check out. We were eating at Applebee's and noticed that there was an artist going around making balloons for all the little kids. Some of the balloons that I started to see were amazing. I noticed a basket full of flowers, a race car, and a gigantic spider attached to a little boy's shoulders and hovering over his head. As Jimmie came closer I noticed that he was from AB's. I had booked them once before for one of my company's Halloween party. I then knew we were in good hands. My daughter didn't really know what she wanted. Jimmie suggested a crown, a princess, and a flower. All she did was nod no. Then he finally figured out that she didn't want anything girly, so he suggested a dragon. She agreed to it right away. I booked Elaina for my daughter's & nephews 5th Birthday party just this past weekend. It was a last minute booking but it was the BEST party decision I made. She was prompt in replying back and her prices were very reasonable. Elaina was a HUGE hit, not just with the kids but with the adults as well! She made AMAZING balloon art: from making the birthday girl fairy wings, crown, skirt, and wand to another mind blowing LARGE orange octopus complete with white eyes, black spots body and tentacles. Adventure balloons was a major hit at our Son's first birthday party. Jimmie's balloons are just so artistic. They are not the usual run of the mill kiddie stuff. I booked a one-and-a-half-hour package of balloon twisting and airbrush tattoo for my son's 5th birthday party. This was a large event with about 60 people, children ranging from infant to high school ages. The entertainment was set up with Gideon over the phone. He was prompt and professional. He called to confirm 2 days before the party. We had Daniel, and her sister Jessica come to our party. They came right on time to set up and let the fun begin. And great fun it was! Daniel amazed children and grownups alike with his balloon art. He made full, wearable costumes out of his balloons to everybody's delight. One my favorite of his creations was a Captain America outfit with a bow, a quiver bag complete with arrows to be worn over the shoulder, and a round shield. He created so many different designs, that it would take too long to list them all. Let's just say, everybody was blown away by his talent and kind demeanor. Everybody was also asking: where did you find him? Answer: here on Yelp!:) Now, onto his sister, Jessica, who just kept spraying beautiful, colorful airbrush tattoos on everyone from infants to grandparents (yes, you read that right, one of the grandmas got one too!).
