NEW STENCIL EVERY TIME! Kids love tattoos. Kids love tattoos that stay on for days. KIDS LOVE TATTOOS THAT STAY ON FOR DAYS AND HAVE BLING! These tattoo artists have bling-BLING! No airbrushing involved! Each tattoo starts with a new stencil which sticks to the skin with adhesive. Glue is then applied and the glitter is painted on. After the stencil is peeled off (and discarded), the rhinestones are applied and set. We went to a party with Aloha Glitter Tattoos and the kids absolutely loved their tattoos! Some of them got one on each arm AND each leg!! The boys got dragons and UH warriors tattoos and the girls got all kinds of cute flowers and cupcakes with rhinestones! The tattoos are supposed to last 7 days but I'm sure my daughter will try to make it last 2 weeks. She loves tattoos. She loves glitter tattoos. I might have to book them for her next party. 2 body artists, 2 hours, $200. read more

The highlight of this company is that the owner who booked the event and the staff who came to the party were nice and professional. Besides that, note that the company's website states that they "charge a travel fee of $25 for venues OUTSIDE of metro Honolulu." My event was in Downtown Honolulu and the owner said that I still needed to pay the $25 travel fee (just checked and the website hasn't changed). The owner also said a few days before the event to expect 3 staff; however, only 2 staff came to the party. I paid $393 for 2 hours of glitter tattoos and balloon art. The pictures on Yelp and their company website look great. However, the skill and experience of the 2 staff who came to my event were trainee/beginner level. A guest commented that the glitter tattoos took a while to apply, which may be harder for younger kids to sit through. The website photos also show several colors on many glitter tattoos, but the glitter tattoos made at my party were only one and sometimes two colors. The balloon art honestly looked like they were made by someone who just began doing it a few months ago. I think a more experienced staff person (the 3rd staff that was promised) should have came to event to give them tips and to provide more variety for party guests. Of course, guests didn't make any comments during the party, but when I asked a few closer friends after the party if they'd use this company at future events, they said no. They were actually surprised that I paid that much for what I got. If you don't mind paying around $400 for 2 hours of very simple temporary glitter tattoos and balloons, for an age 5 and under crowd (older kids wouldn't be impressed), then this company might be for you. I've included a few photos for you to decide. read more

I'm so glad I decided to book Aloha Glitter Tattoos for our party this weekend. The whole experience was wonderful. It was an incredibly easy booking process: e-mailed for a quote, put down a deposit and paid the remainder of our balance to the lead artist when she arrived. Marilyn was also very quick to e-mail back and was very pleasant to talk to on the phone when she called to confirm our reservation the week of the party. Our balloon artist and face painter were a huge hit at our party! They were very professional, but also very fun and great with the number of kids who had many requests :) Now that my daughter's party is over, all I can think of is: you're never too old to throw yourself a birthday party with a face painter and balloon artist right?! I need another excuse to book them. read more

Preparing for a first birthday party is never fun. You need to do things starting from when your child is born... Or so it seems like. I had to turn to yelp to find out what kind of fun things do people have at first birthdays. With stellar reviews, I decided to contact Aloha Glitter Tattoos. Marilyn was so helpful with the process of deciding the services and how many to order for the amount of people that we were having. I had estimated 350 people (230 probably showed up) so I made sure that I ordered enough so that there wouldn't be long lines. I wanted the typical stuff. Popcorn, cotton candy, and glitter tattoos. Then my husband wanted balloon animals. I kind of didn't want any from the previous not so great comment about the balloon animals but, what did it matter for an difference of $60 bucks to add on to the entire package for 4 hours? I reserved the services way in advanced and at times I forgot how much balance I had to pay because you don't get any paperwork on the services you order or total. They remember all of that. So, just make sure you write it down somewhere. If not, you can be like me and bug Marilyn all the time. She never seemed irritated with me. A couple days before the party, Carmella (I think if I remember right) contacted me to review the services for the party and reminded me of the amount of tables and chairs they needed. On the party day, Carmella introduced herself to me and my husband and they found the best place to set up. My husband had to break the news to me that the cotton candy machine was out of service, so they replaced that service with face painting and henna tattoo's. I know my dad really wanted cotton candy but... to my surprise... My dad got two face paintings (one side a butterfly and the other a centipede) and I swear neck paintings. LOL. At first nobody was really in the area and I thought it was because it was in a weird spot but, once my dad started and all the kids seen the work, they got in line too. It was sort of a blessing that the cotton candy machine was broken. I thought it was going to be weird to have face painting and henna tattoos. It totally wasn't. You need to get this. All the prices are totally reasonable. If you are looking for a kid friendly party, you need to hire these guys! Even when they left, Carmella and the gang (looked like young kids) came up and each said thank you to my husband and I. I thought that was very nice of them. Something you don't see often. So, even though they made simple balloons, the little kids get amazed by anything. And that was all that mattered to me. I really didn't see many balloon animals. I think I only seen a flower and some swords LOL but that was because the flower was in my car and kids were playing sword fight. I received a lot of compliments on the way our party was so kid friendly. Don't get me wrong though, the parents got some work done too! read more

I hired this company for my daughter's birthday party (glitter tattoos and balloon art)...the glitter tattoo artist took soooo long to do each person I felt like she was taking her time because it would mean less tattoos for the amount of time I hired them for. I have been to parties where friend's hired different companies and they were so much faster and turned out just as nice. Then the balloon artist was a complete joke!! He could only do simple things like flowers, a wrist turtle, swords...and he literally wrote down what he could make (about 4-5 different items). I was completely embarrassed and was not notified of this when I had hired them. Next, they don't have the friendliest employees. My daughter was in the Neiman Marcus fashion show a couple of weeks ago and they had this company do the glitter tattoos. The lady who was doing it was pretty rude and already sounded like she was going to stress out once the entire show was over. When Neiman Marcus hires entertainment following the show, they normally don't limit it to the participants but to other customer's as well. The lady doing the tattoos that day wanted to make sure everyone who was getting one had participated asking the children what number they were. I felt like she was very unprofessional. read more

Marilyn was so sweet and accommodating from the start. I booked Aloha Glitter Tattoos for my sons first birthday party on April 1st of this year. I had the glitter tattoos, face painting, bubbles and balloon twisting. The balloon artist and glitter tattoo artist was very young teens, so that took me by surprise but overall they were alright and Carmella did the face painting which was the actual hit of the party. They showed up 15 minutes late but they stayed later which made up for it. Overall During their time slot , I got nothing but great compliments from my guests and the kids enjoyed it! Thank you Aloha Glitter Tattoos for everything! read more

Glitter tattoos were a fabulous idea for my daughters first birthday! It was definitely a hit of the party. The kids loved it, so did the adults! I opted to do our own tattoos vs. having Aloha Glitter Tattoos crew trek it out to the country. It was super easy and fun and we didn't have to worry that the tattooing part of the party was going to be shut down after a few hours... Marilyn was so easy to work with from my initial phone call at least a month before my party to the text messages I sent her with questions up until the day I went to her home to pick up my tattoo kit and tattoos. Once we met in person, she said it felt like we knew each other already. Prices are very reasonable. Tons of tattoos to choose from ~ the kids loved the Aloha tattoo, dragons, Ninja turtles, Hello Kitty, The Hulk, UH logo...they were all a hit. I'm looking forward to buying more tattoos, heck I don't even need a party for glitter tattoos! Thanks Marilyn! read more

Aloha Glitter staff are awesome. The owner did my nieces 1st Birthday party and all I can say is they provide such excellent service. If you have a party. I highly recommend you hire Aloha Glitter Tattoos. read more

I booked them for my daughters first birthday at ala moana ballroom. they came exactly at noon when they should of came earlier to get setted up with the glitter tattto & caricature art combo that i booked with them. I dont think its fair to us customers that you tell us you do caricature art when you do nothing close to it. I got asked if a kid drew the pictures and teased a little bit because i did pay and asked for caricature art. I texted the owner but of course she did not respond or apologize. i am disapointmented and not happy. but the glitter tattoo was great and cute thou. UPDATE. Mary the owner, called me personally and apologized. will refund half because she was out of town. that made me happy. cant wait to book them for future events !!!!! read more

Aloha Glitter Tattoos was awesome! We had called on very short notice (only 3-4 days before) to book a cotton candy machine and the tattoo service. We had really wanted the popcorn machine too but that had already been booked for that day. That's what we get for booking late. In any case the crew came an hour early to set up and they were ready to go in about 20 min or so. Service was great, staff was friendly. They even reminded us to make a last call for the cotton candy & tattoos before they left for the night. Highly recommended and will use again in the future. read more

We booked them for our Walk With Compassion event at Ala Moana Beach Park on Saturday March 4th from 7:30 AM- 9:30 AM. It was an early event, so we were glad they could come out and join! We were able to receive a great price for balloon twisting and face painting! Carmela and Reina were fantastic! The line for both ended up being so long, but the ladies went as fast as they could to help each child get what they wanted. They even stayed 10 minutes past the reservation to give two girls who had been waiting so patiently to get their face painting. We will definitely be booking them for future events and maybe even trying out other services they offer! read more

Aloha Glitter came to my rescue for my baby girl's first birthday. Marilyn was very professional and accommodating, sending two of her glitter tattoo and face painting artists. Marilyn made it so easy to schedule her professional staff! They showed up early and even stayed past their scheduled time! They were a huge hit at the party and at two months later, I am still getting compliments on how fun the party was! The artists did beautiful work and the kids adored their tattoos and gorgeous artwork on their faces! Some of them even refused to wash their faces off before bedtime per their parents. The adults even got tattoos and showed me how they preserved their designs and were sad to have to wash them off days later. Bling out your next party! We had Aloha Glitter Tattoos at our daughter's 1st birthday yesterday. They did glitter tattoos and cotton candy. They arrived early to set up in time to start their services at the time we discussed. The person handling the cotton candy wore gloves. Yay! They were friendly and took their time on each glitter tattoo, even allowing kids to have more than one color in their glitter tattoo. I requested a certain flavor of cotton candy and Marilyn was able to get it for me. read more

Hey everyone! Preschool teacher at Queen Emma Preschoool here! Giving Marilyn a shout out for a awesome customer service experience! From that first call I knew we had a winner. She was so accommodating and understanding working with younger children are a hand full. I explained to her that we are a class of 16 of two year olds. She recommended having three small child size tattoo options for the kids and as much tattoo for 45mins for $50 (Kokua rate)!!! What a deal! It was so nice of her working out the affordable rate for a small preschool. Once she came through the door. She was perfect! Marilyn greeted the children with a friendly smile and started right away! All she asked for was a small table, two chairs and a trash can. At first, the children were a little shy but once I sat next Marilyn at the table the kids got right into it! Marilyn was very gentle and very patient with them all. Overall experience was great! I really recommend Marilyn! read more
