Her daughters were also so helpful when we were taking photos. One of my son's is on the spectrum, so keeping his attention and getting him to look at the camera can be a challenge. Lyn made sure everyone else around him was set and then she worked on getting his attention. It was perfect! We are so over-the-moon satisfied with our photos. I'd also like to mention that her session promised a certain amount of edited photos. She took SO many photos, and ALL of them captured memorable fun, interactions . We ended up with a gallery with way more than the promised amount of edited photos. Lyn and Co. are warm, friendly, and they make you feel like family from the get-go. I highly recommend booking her for your next set of family photos!

Lyn was super professional yet casual so we felt very comfortable during the entire shoot. She made sure to guide us to the perfect poses and facials so that we'd get the shots we wanted. Thank you Lyn! Would definitely book again!

She and her team are professional, easy to work with, and completely dialed in. Multiple guests told us how much they enjoyed having her and the team around on the big day and how natural it felt to work with her. She put in the effort leading up to the wedding as well. This included several planning sessions to nail down our vision and lock in must have shots, and gave us her honest take where it mattered. All of it came together flawlessly on the day itself. If you want your wedding shot with real skill, timeless and elegant while still packed with genuine moments, Emily's the one to call. Worth every dollar.

Where to start?!? My family planned a vacation to Oahu and immediately I knew I needed to book…read moresomething with Emily. As a photographer myself, I know the importance of family photos and I wanted to find a photographer who could shoot film as well as digital (something that was hard to find in San Diego!) Once I decided I wanted Emily to take our family photos, I decided I wanted to also book a mentorship session with her. Reviewing our family photo experience: Emily was so communicative and helpful in working together to find the perfect spot to take our photos! We had rain forecasted on the morning of our shoot so we changed plans last minute and it was perfect! She also helped me decide on what outfits to wear and was just generally the best hype girl I could ask for! We chatted back and forth about my vision for our time together and I was just so excited for our photoshoot! I chose to add a film photography package and she shot TWO rolls of 35mm film during our session which is super impressive!! During our photoshoot she was so kind and calm and worked so well with our crazy almost-four-year-old and 7 month old! She captured my vision perfectly and I can't say enough good things about our time together!! Reviewing my mentorship experience: I really value continuing to learn from other photographers whenever I can and I knew Emily had experience in underwater photography - something I have been interested in but have been too chicken to try. I'm NOT a diver by any means but Emily was so helpful in choosing a spot that wasn't super hard to swim out to and even bringing snorkle gear and fins for me to use! I brought my 35mm film underwater camera and she taught me how to use her underwater housing for her digital camera. I also need to mention -- as soon as we got in the water, there was a freaking sea turtle right right there!! (We gave it plenty of space but OMG SO COOL!!) After playing around in the water and learning how to get some cool shots (it's waaay harder than it looks!!) (& she found us the cutest couple to model for us!!) we hopped out and she showed me how she would edit the RAW photos and gave me all her tips and tricks to continue to build my business. Here's the best part: a few days after our mentorship she sent me THE BEST recap email. She included everything we talked about the whole day: gear recommendations, poses for underwater, how to get more inquiries, tips for editing underwater photos, literally everything we talked about. (Which was AMAZING because I wasn't able to take notes and I immediately forgot everything we talked about as soon as we got home LOL.) All in all, Emily was such a kind and thoughtful person to work with. Looking back at our time on Oahu both the family session and mentorship session were the highlights of my trip and I will be forever thankful for our time together! Thank you Emily!

We never felt rushed during the session--she allowed plenty of time for diaper changes and feeding. I especially appreciated how she included all members of our family and was incredibly accommodating and patient with our dog. Lucie offers a wide variety of beautiful props in her studio and was also more than willing to incorporate special items we brought from home. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are so grateful for the memories she captured. We look forward to working with her again for future milestones and life events.

We contacted Cassandra in May to see if she would photograph a US Navy ship homecoming in June. She…read moreis a part of Operation Love Reunited which is a network of photographers who work pro bono to take pictures of military families before and after deployments. She agreed to do it and we arranged the details. The day of the deployment was great. She brought along a friend to help photograph and it looked like they were covering a large area of families as well as getting several shots of the ship coming into port. About 2 weeks after the homecoming, I emailed her (she prefers to communicate this way due to having 2 small children which make phonecalls difficult!) about when we'd get the pictures. she said 6 weeks. another month went by (6 weeks total) and she said she didn't have the prints yet. 2 more weeks. ok, then I find out that she finally got the digitals and it would be another 2 weeks before we'd get the hard copy pictures. Meanwhile I have family members emailing me asking for their photos. I'm the family readiness coordinator so this is landing on my shoulders. I told them that June was a busy time for photographers and the work IS pro bono so I'm sure we're on the back burner. Finally (after many emails) she says I can pick them up. Rather than giving me directions to her house, studio, whatever, she tells me to meet her husband at her daughter's school (across the island from me) in 2 hours. Very unprofessional. I get there and dont know what her husband looks like. I called her 3 times and she never picked up or returned my phone call. I drive back home (so a total of 60 miles RT for me) only to find an email that at the last minute she changed the meet-up to Starbucks! Without waiting for a confirmation "ok, I got the change of plans" from me. Needless to say, its been 3 months since the homecoming and I have yet to see anything. I'm moving in 3 weeks and probably will not get the pictures in time to distribute to the other families. What a shame. A homecoming is a very important event. I knew we'd be on the back burner to her paying customers, but not THAT far back. if you dont intend to treat your volunteer work like real WORK, dont volunteer in the first place. From the other reviews, it doesn't even look like she treats her paying customers any better. But for the record, her pictures ARE good....if you ever get them.

She was very flexible in arranging the session dates. I couldn't tell her a solid date until the last minute... that's deployment for you! Cassandra suggested a fabulous location for beach photos. My husband and I aren't really comfortable in front of a camera, but Cassandra and her team made it very natural and easy! The shots that came from this session made us look like my husband and I were professionals! The beach photos were a mix of fun, playful, more serious, and emotional looks. It was a great variety to choose from. For the second session, Cassandra came on post to take photos while my husband and I said our goodbyes. This was such a private event that I asked her to take photos of, yet we didn't even know she was there! I am so relieved that she was there to capture the last precious minutes that my husband and I had left together. It was 4-5 days after the photos were taken that she had my proofs printed and delivered to me! I was absolutely delighted to see the products. The images were better than I had imagined and I couldn't wait to show our families who couldn't be here to say goodbye. My husband in Iraq was able to view the proofs online on her user-friendly website. He also got some proofs via snail mail...something tangible that he can cherish. Together, he and I chose a couple of images to enlarge and order from Cassandra. We couldn't decide on one in particular, and Cassandra was able to guide us towards a decision that would look best enlarged and on our wall! I was so thrilled with the photos, I decided to go back and order Christmas cards from her. I have no doubt that she'll deliver a quality product I will be proud to send to all of our family and friends for the holidays.

Tracy did graduation photos for both of my kids, and we also did some family photos with her too. All of those photos were absolutely gorgeous. Dorys, the makeup artist and hair stylist, spent over an hour on making me look fantastic. After I changed into my first outfit, Tracy started on the first shoot. She took lots of shots and did adjustments, then we looked at the photos. And she took some more photos. Tracy really knows what works, how to pose, and adjust for small details. As a new grad, I wasn't sure if hiring a top-notch photographer like Tracy was necessary (she takes portrait photos of well-known newscasters), especially since I didn't know how or when to use the images. But it turned out to be one of the best investments for my career. I've used Tracy's portrait photos for invited lectures, webpages for my clinical practices and business, and numerous applications for leadership positions. I just had my third professional portrait session with her, and as usual, I had a fantastic experience. I've always disliked being photographed and tend to get nervous during personal photo sessions. My facial muscles even start to twitch as soon as the session begins. But Tracy does an excellent job of making me feel relaxed. Most importantly, she is quick to capture the best shots before my face starts to twitch! Not sure what to wear? No problem! She is super kind and helps you choose the perfect attire for the look you're aiming for. I always bring multiple clothes and ask for her professional advice before deciding on the clothing I'll wear for the photo shoot. Fast-forward. I've held multiple leadership positions at the national and state levels since I took my first professional portrait with Tracy as a newly graduated nurse practitioner. Working with Tracy was one of the best investments in my career, and it was worth every penny. Having portrait photos in which I look confident has helped me push myself to advance my career. I heard that Tracy even offers a student discount. I highly recommend getting professional portrait photos with her for anyone looking to advance their career, especially new grads!
