Full transparency, I have dined here multiple times during the last 10-15 years so this isn't a 1st time review. I haven't been here since maybe 2021. But I must say, tonight's batch of shrimp was not good AT ALL!!! Sid's shrimp have never been extremely good or flavorful but the shrimp had no seasoning or flavor whatsoever tonight. The picture I attached doesn't do much justice. The shrimp were extremely dark which tells me that it's been fried in old oil. At $22 a dozen(I got 2 dozen plus 4 cocktails sauces) $46 IS NOT WORTH IT. Sid is not happy RIP.

I love the shrimp and fries !! They stay open late which is nice after a night of partying with friends or a late night craving. It's a little spot on the corner so There is no place to sit and eat. You grab your food to go. Basically you place your order, wait around a bit for them to cook it fresh and they call you up when it's ready- so stay close and get your tastebuds ready! I crushed/ate the shrimp too fast -so I didn't get any photos- sorry next time!

Order/pick-up window. And if I'm not mistaking, it's cash only!

The best fried shrimp in Philly! It's their only menu item with the exception of a few sides (Mac salad, cole slaw, french fries). But with shrimp this good what else do you need‍

I was craving fried shrimp and the pizza store wasn't going to work for me. I haven't had Sid Booker's Shrimp in four years because I wasn't too impressed. I decided to give them another shot and I'm glad I did. The prices are a bit expensive but they were pretty big so I was okay with it. I just wish it had a special seasoning in the batter or something but next time I'll just make sure to ask for salt & pepper on them. They were good though hot fresh & juicy. The fries were perfectly fried the right amount of salt pepper & ketchup too. The wait was no more than ten minutes. I'm not sure why they don't sell beverages though thats all that was missing from my meal. I'll definitely be back soon!

These are some of the best shrimp I have had in a while. They are seasoned to perfection and have a naturally sweet flavor to them. I love the texture of the shrimp. This place is cash only, just a FYI. A little pricey but totally worth it! If you are in Philly and want some good shrimp late night Sid Bookers is the place to get it!

OMG! I just seriously pillaged and destroyed a $4.00 sauteed crab from this place. Ok, I've been…read moreon my daughter and son in law to go get me some crabs since Friday and they blew me off. I went online to find someplace to deliver me some Bob's crabs and finally found Postmates. My Postmates driver was on it! I just got my crabs and I totally destroyed one of the sauteed ones. Only because it's so late, I don't have time to devour the other one. I also got four of the $3.00 cooked crabs and ate one of the claws...AWESOME! I can't wait till tomorrow when I have time to eat the rest. Ok, the delivery charges and service charges are outrageous, but I REALLY craved some good crabs so I paid for it but I am savoring every inch of these delicious crabs. I can't go on enough about them. There are places that are closer to me in the neighborhood but they cook dead crabs sometimes and then you get mushy disgusting mess. NEVER that with Bob's. I hope they continue to do business and sate my crabs cravings! YOU GO Bob!

Parking: tight. They have a little parking lot but that was filled. You can park on the street. They have a walk up window. I gave my number and was told my order would be up. It took more than 30 minutes. I ordered $5 crabs and had them sautéed. There's an extra charge. They came with a sauce. I ordered Buffalo butter. You can order whole crabs. The crabs were ok. They were meaty but I was looking for this great flavor and it wasn't there. I ordered a side of cajun seafood. Omg!! Omg!!!! There was too much cajun seasoning. I could not eat it. Overall I wasn't totally happy with the crabs. I'm not sure what all of the hype was about. I may go back to get whole crabs and make a sauce of my own.

We got there around dinner time 7pm and waited like 5 min to be seated at the bar area where we could watch then shucking oysters all evening long. It's truly an art. We had a variety of oysters, some grilled octopus and a seafood medley that included scallops perfectly cooked, shrimp, swordfish and some potatoes. It was all very good and staff was attentive and helpful throughout our meal. The restaurant is an open design that can get quite loud but that's just the lively nature of great food!

Food Ordered: * worth trying…read more - [Fish Hoagie]: The Fish Hoagie was supposed to come with Hot Sauce, Hot Peppers, Pickles, Lettuce, Pepper Jack Cheese, and Swiss Cheese but we didn't get any of that in our order. They used raw onions in the sandwich but I think it would have tasted better if they had cooked down the onions a little bit. Also, the bread was soft but I think the sandwich would have been better if the bread was toasted. Lastly, something tasted off about the fish. Like it wasn't fresh. - [Wallo Special Swai*]: Because I ordered this as a delivery order, the food was a bit soggy but still tasted good. I can see why it's a best seller. The fish was the best part; it was nice and flaky and well seasoned, only a tad salty for my taste but, overall, very good. - [Vanilla Pound Cake?]: I put a question mark because I don't think that's what we received in our order. What we received was a layered cake(?) of biscuits and cream, which had a pudding consistency, and a chocolate sauce on top. The dessert was too sweet for my liking. Would I go back? : Unfortunately, no. I think the pricing of the food is a bit high given the quality. Granted, we ordered on GrubHub so there was a little bit of an upcharge. I assume their platters might taste better but there's better seafood-boil-type of places elsewhere in the city like The Shake Seafood.

The cluster was very skimpy and over cooked. I did not care for the flavor of the sauce as well. Inside the boil bag was 1 cluster, a few shrimp, a half of a half a piece of corn and a boiled egg. I wanted to also try a fried fish sandwich but the fryer was down so I couldn't, I understood because things happen. They make a homemade iced tea which is delicious. The staff was very friendly which was appreciated. The location is good for take out only, but there is a few seats if you choose to dine in.
