A complete disaster and a ruined surprise. My boyfriend and I are long-distance, and he always buys me "Wednesday flowers" every Wednesday to keep us connected. He ordered these two days in advance to ensure a smooth surprise delivery at the hospital where I work. Not only did they fail to deliver before my shift ended at 4:30 PM, but they completely ruined the surprise by forcing hospital staff to call me at 7:00 PM to hunt them down.The driver completely ignored explicit, step-by-step delivery instructions (ER entrance, 5th floor, yellow elevator). Instead, he abandoned the bouquet at a restricted "lunch drop-off" spot. Instead of a romantic surprise, I had to walk all over the hospital grounds trying to find my own flowers. To top it off, customer service promised my boyfriend a fresh replacement bouquet for the delay, but everything they promised did not happen. The service completely sucked, and the flowers I finally found were brown, drooping, and half-dead from sitting in a hot truck. Absolute waste of money. Do not trust 1-800-Flowers for special occasions. i'm not sure if it's 800 flowers , they use Sicola's florist as the delivery so both are responsible! read more

We are from out of state and my mother was celebrating her 80th birthday with me during my cancer treatment. My stepfather sent a beautiful, large arrangement that had to cost a lot. When it was delivered the roses and peonies already had very large blooms and some blooms which were starting to die. I took photos and called the florist to discuss. I emailed them the images. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I had missed the letter "m" at the end of com, so the email never sent (thanks chemo brain). When I went to follow up several days later realized that it had never sent, so I went ahead and resent with the correct email address. I finally received a call advising me that the email was received outside of their "warranty replacement" period. I asked if I was able to send them screenshot proving the condition of the flowers the morning following the delivery, when we called to report the condition of the arrangement would they work with us? Nope. In essence told it was too bad. Mind you never once did I ask for a free arrangement. I never asked for a specific discount, but I said that I was hoping they'd credit a percentage back on credit card. I am in sales where customer service is everything, and this was unacceptable. My next set of reviews/complaints will be to the online florist agency he used. It costs enough for us battling with cancer to even be here for treatment. I wonder how many other people staying in Houston while traveling have received sub standard product because the sender will never see it? In summary, avoid based on customer service and inferior product. FYI, I've never been so disappointed that I had to resort to a Yelp review, but here we are. Very unimpressed and underwhelmed by the bouquet my recipient received. We sent her the extra large garden of grandeur which was $165. What she received, to me, was worth $75-$100. Honestly $100 is a stretch. The roses are blown, there is mostly filler and greenery to fill the bouquet, and overall it just doesn't meet the standards of a $165 high end floral boutique bouquet, In my opinion. It was a decent bouquet, but again, not for $165. This was also a delivery from the pinemont location. read more

This is a strange review for me because I'm not sure how to rate them. For Valentine's Day I went through one 800 flowers and ordered a really nice book with a card consisting of a personal message. What my wife received was two bouquet of flowers for two people that were not her. She received cards and candy so it's hard to complain because she did receive flowers and cards but nothing that I ordered nothing with her name on it or the address where she works. I'm not sure what's going on here, but this florist, clearly has a major issue with delivering flowers to the correct areas and honestly, the flowers are kind of dried out and old. One day later they're already losing petals. Obviously, there's no value in receiving the wrong stuff, especially since mistakes like this easily cause divorces. Sicola's Florist (Jones Rd. Location) has been my florist of choice for several years, when purchasing flowers for my step-mom. She has always enjoyed the beauty and quality of the blooms. I have enjoyed the personal attention on telephone orders, and this the last order, for her memorial service. read more

I received the flowers order guy delivering was great, he brought them to my door of my apartments on a rainy day! The flowers ordered doesn't look as big or like the picture. But at least the flowers are fresh and pretty! read more

It's my birthday and I received two flower arrangements - one from Sicola's Florist (vase on the left in the photos), and one from another vendor. Both vendors promise fresh flowers. For the Sicola's Florist arrangement to have that amount of sediment and degree of murkiness in the water. the Sicola's arrangement had to have been sitting in water for At LeasT 3 days. NoT fresh! The usual fresh flower arrangement takes at least 4 days or more to have that much decomposition. I could have been more generous in the review if the customer service phone call had gone better. Instead, there was a detailed discussion with an apparent interest in the delivery of an inferior product with their name on it, but there was no hint of wanting to make things right. Nothing. My friend who sent these lives in England and if he knew what I received, he would be appalled. I was appalled for him. I would not put my trust in this company to deliver the quality of product that they advertise. read more

Ive ordered from this company three times. The first two times were very good, delivery was on time and the flowers were beautiful. The last time, my third time I placed an order placed it on Nov 3rd for delivery on Nov 4th, I called the shop around 2:30pm to confirm that my order would be delivered before 5pm because it was being delivered to a business the lady insured me that my order would be delivered before 5pm which it wasn't. Called and requested the order to be sent to an alternate address and was insured that they'd deliver the order Nov 5th early morning which did not happen. The order arrived at 4pm and the flowers were dried out and wilting as if they'd been sitting out all night! Very upsetting! Never will order from here again! read more
