Paul was very helpful receiving my orders for a memorial service that began as an after hour email with a surprised after hour reply. Phone call follow-up was very informative and helpful with an email confirmation and reminder of their delivery. The flower arrangements were each beautifully arranged, brimming with fresh flowers, each looking vibrant. The widow was very touched and extremely pleased. Well worth their values.
It was my second time using a local florist instead of 1800 flowers. The price was higher but the service was also better. I like the fact they send me a photo of the flower arrangement prior to delivery. My mom said that she loved her flowers for mother's day.
Yes! Quick, professional and sooo friendly! This is ABSOLUTELY a business I'll return to in the future. Oh my gosh! They even sent me photos of my order! I'm incredibly impressed by this florist. If all companies had this level of customer service, we wouldn't need Yelp!
I ordered flowers to send for a birthday surprise. They were gorgeous! Dealing with the florist by phone was very pleasant. I will definitely use them next time I need flowers.
Update: Who do you call when need flowers for mother in law birthday the next day? Valentines flowers of course. Since recipient is farther, the delivery would be more. But I didn't care since having a peace of mind knowing they she will be pleased is priceless. I told him that my mother in law is recently widowed and this would be her first bday alone. I only requested her favorite flower and let him do his magic. The picture he sent before delivery was stunning. He also texted me when it was delivered. My mother in law kept saying how beautiful it was.. and fragrant! Paul delivers a quality product once again. Being in another city, I am so fortunate to have a lifelong florist whenever I need to make someone happy in Houston. I only wish he was in Dallas as well. Better than promised " is so true with Valentine florist. I relied on Yelp to find a florist in Houston to send my sister for bday. I saw the lovely pictures and asked for a quote on Yelp. Paul replied within the hour. The next day I spoke with him to tell him the colors, style, theme and price point. Paul was attentive and I gave him the freedom to use his artistic skills. After placing my order weeks in advance , I found out my sister will not be in town around her bday. I called and agreed to have it delivered the following week. These may not be bday flowers but celebration of LIFE. Now, I send flowers to other people and only on the receiving end when hospitalized. Folks, give flowers to bring joy when they can enjoy it (not when they are too tired to fully appreciate it).. or surrounding a casket. So, if you are thinking.. "but flowers will die so why waste money".. believe me, the recipient will have that everlasting image and smell of the flowers beyond. Heck, I save the pic of all the arrangements I sent so that I get to enjoy them vicariously! Sad but true Paul communicated with me every step of the way. I am from out of town so having him send me of photos before delivery was great! People, we have tried it out for you, trust me when I say, Paul will be there for your flower needs. He enjoys it.. how do I know? I worked in a floral shop one summer of college when I lived in Houston. That place closed and was owned by a grumpy old lady who shouldn't even be in the hospitality/memories business. I know firsthand it's not a glamorous job (thorns, wet, picky customers) And he also uses quality and unique flowers.. not fillers. Pictures says it all! Thanks Paul! You are my Houston florist and may visit you when I am back in the area.
Today is my parents' 45th anniversary, and the first one without my dad on this earth. I wanted to send my mom flowers since my dad always did on their anniversary. I searched florists in Houston on yelp and Valentine Florist was rated the highest and was not far from my parents' neighborhood, so I gave Paul a call earlier in the week. He answered the phone, and I explained the circumstances of this bittersweet anniversary. He was very kind and patient, then asked what my mom liked in terms of flower, color, and style. I gave him a budget and a lot of information since I know my mom's taste. Valentine Florist is usually closed on Sundays, but he offered to deliver on Sunday if that was best for my mom. He decided to give her a call yesterday (Saturday) to see if the bouquet could be delivered then. I was not certain of the message I wanted to include with the flowers, so Paul gave me his number and told me to text him when I figured it out. After discussing with some colleagues, I texted him the message. When the bouquet was complete, he texted me pictures of it before it was out for delivery, which was really cool - I knew he "got" my mom's taste and he used a variety of different types of flowers and colors. Yesterday, he texted me an update from his driver, who spoke with my mom and delivered to her workplace instead of our house, which is in the same zip code/delivery area. My mom then texted my brother, husband, and I with a picture and her excitement. Later, when I spoke with her after work, she told me it was the most beautiful bouquet to celebrate her special love with my dad, and felt like my dad was celebrating with her too. That is exactly what we had hoped for, and I was so happy with the results. I would highly recommend Paul and Valentine Florist for anyone in Houston or looking to share some beautiful joy with someone in Houston!
I love using local florist . This place website looked really nice . Funerals are always so sad and so much grief the flowers I believe bring some happiness and comfort to the families . Arrangements look like you would get your moneys worth. Today they sent me a photo of our spray once it was completed . It is so gorgeous . When they deliver it today I am sure it will bring smiles and comfort in such a dark time . The smell of a nice spray I hope will bring relaxation and calm to the family . I am sure when I see it this afternoon at the family viewing it will being a smile . If your looking for a great florist I would definitely give them a call.
So glad I found Valentine Florist !!! They just delivered a beautiful bouquet of the most colorful flowers I have ever seen Mr Paul was so helpful and made a bouquet exactly as I had in mind. I live out of state and was so worried about finding someone to help me !!! Trust me you cannot go wrong here !!! He even sent a picture of the flowers to me before he delivered. I have definitely found a floral business I can depend on for future flower needs. I highly recommend them if you are in the need of beautiful flowers !!!
WOW. If I could give Paul & this company 10 stars, I would! From the very first call to the personal delivery and placement of the final products by Paul himself, I was blown away. The customer service was truly unparalleled. I had only a quick 2 week timeline to get about 15 med-XL arrangements for a big event. The moment I put in my request on Yelp, Paul called me about an hour later and asked me for the general vibe/feeling I was going for, and Pinterest photos I could send him for reference. From that point on, Paul responded within hours of each e-mail I sent, kept in constant contact w/ me via phone if he had any questions, and even called me 2 days before the event just to tell me about the "happiest" flowers that had just arrived for our event & asked me if he could text me pics of the raw product! I LOVED that! He initially told me that some of my Pinterest photo flowers were not in season, but he would do the best he could and even order MORE than he might need for us, at his expense, to ensure the final product was up to par. He said, "this is my livelihood, and I will not let ANYTHING leave my shop unless it is up to my standard!" And the final products were BETTER than my Pinterest photos! Paul arrived at our event and took the extra time to strategically hand place all of the arrangements where he thought they would get the best light/impact. Legit. I've worked with a bunch of vendors, but Valentine delivered by far the most beautiful flowers I have EVER seen. We received SO many compliments on the florals from everyone at the event and beyond - we absolutely LOVED THEM. Hands down, Valentine will be the first call I make when we need florals. Maybe the best customer service I have ever received, along with the final product!
I been going here for 7 years for all occasions. Paul does great work and his flowers are always colorful and fresh. Another happy order Thank you Paul. You can see how big it is next to the milk gallon.
Paul arranged an absolutely GORGEOUS arrangement for my Uncle's funeral today! I only called yesterday to order and he got RIGHT on it and it's so beautiful I could cry! He took pictures of all angles before he delivered and even one where he left it after he delivered! I could not have been more blessed and thankful to have found him! He went above and beyond during these hard times and made me feel very special.
Valentine Florist is the BEST! Paul made an absolutely beautiful bouquet for my son's girlfriend for Homecoming. Stunning. He asked about color preferences and worked his magic to create the perfect arrangement. We will use him for all our floral needs! A+
After so many years of Paul sending my Mom such incredible and stunning arrangements it was time for her final send off. And I could never have imagined the incredible work that Paul put together for her memorial. Truly this man is an artist. Literally everyone at the memorial service commented on just how stunning the flowers were. I am so grateful Paul. If you want an arrangement that is truly artistic, then Paul is the person to see. I wish my photos began to do his arrangements justice.

Here's a polished, heartfelt review you can post on Google, Instagram, or send directly to Valentine Florist: Outstanding Floral Design by Paul at Valentine Florist I cannot say enough great things about Paul from Valentine Florist. The floral arrangements he created for my tablescape were absolutely stunning and truly elevated the entire space. Every detail was intentional, from the lush florals and beautiful color palette to the way the arrangements complemented the candles, linens, and place settings perfectly. Paul has an incredible eye for design and balance. The florals were elegant, full, and luxurious without feeling overwhelming. They photographed beautifully and made the tables feel warm, romantic, and upscale. Guests couldn't stop complimenting them. If you're looking for someone who understands vision, execution, and quality, Paul is your florist. His work speaks for itself, and I will absolutely be using Valentine Florist again for future events. The quality and value of his florals are impeccable!!! Highly recommend! -- Stephanie read more

I had a friend in MD Anderson, so I busted out trusty ol yelp and got after it. I had a very odd request...definitely took some time on their behalf to go to the grocery store and do some extra creative thinking, but man...they pulled it off. They were great interacting with my friend's daughter to get the flowers delivered. I felt like I definitely got my money's worth and the gentleman I worked with was so lovely! So great to work with. read more

I wanted to send birthday flowers to a long distance friend in Houston. Valentine Florist has an amazing selection on their website for a great price. I decided on the Sweet Cream arrangement and upgraded to a premium. I love the option to send a 30 sec video message instead of a written card, so unique! They also send you a preview of your arrangement before delivery. Great service read more

There is a reason Paul and Valentine Florist are ranked as high as they are. I called from Dallas wanting something special for my aunt's birthday. In one call, Paul assessed my needs and made great suggestions. My aunt received the flowers today, and texted me that they were the most beautiful flowers she'd ever received! My aunt is an elegant lady so this is truly quite the compliment! Thank you, Paul!!!!! Simply excellent from top to bottom. read more

There aren't enough words to describe the unbelievable level of customer service delivered by this team. In delivering a floral arrangement for a funeral, there was a a hiccup and Paul (the owner) called with a recommendation on how to make sure the family still received the arrangement in a timely manner. Frequent verbal and written communication and ultimately a delivery confirmation, all from Paul, cemented me as a raving fan. The icing on the cake was receiving the sweetest note from the family along with this picture of the arrangement; it is exactly as depicted on their website. Well done team Valentine. Paul and his team continue to impress and deliver beyond expectations which were pretty high after reading a bunch of Yelpers comments. The most recent time I used him I gave him very general outline of what I was trying to convey and he hit it out of the park. Excited to see how he will top it on my next order... Beyond the great flowers the Customer service is world class with photos of arrangement, text when out and once delivered, best practice ! Not sure why you would use any other shop for a downtown order... B read more
