I've been in twice now, the first early-morning and in fairness they said they weren't open yet but were willing to serve a take-away coffee. It was overly hot and not great. I persisted to go back and try their breakfast because I really like the atmosphere of the place.
Our breakfast was nice enough but for the price of a full Irish breakfast I would expect a bit of everything. Instead, you have to pick three sides to go with your eggs which is not really a complete Irish breakfast in my view. I had the Corn and Potato fritters, which fair enough were two separate things (I expected it to be a fritter with both corn and potato in it). It was really nice. The coffee was much better than the one I had taken away.
My only complaint really is the service. They are friendly enough but with 6 staff serving two people (we were the only table) they still managed to forget to bring out my juice and it generally felt a bit slow. Was also suprised to see them dusting the shelves where they stock the grocery items right in the middle of dining service.
The space is so nice and much needed in Naas so it has a lot of potential but they really need to pick up their game in terms of service and attention to detail and make some minor adjustments to the menu. Possibly also consider extending opening hours, they miss the breakfast crowd by only opening at 9am! read more
