First, before you get in your car with the whole family, this is a take-out spot, and not sit-down or dine-in. Which for me, I like for when it's lunchtime on my day off. The ambiance of the place is it's a kitchen, but the food that comes out of this kitchen is nothing short of stellar! The parking is right on Old York Road, so be prepared to deal with traffic when getting in and out of your car. When you walk inside, you'll be right at the counter, where the menu awaits your perusal. I've been twice so far, and the young lady at the register recognized my brother and I. This is excellent. It's a good feeling when your presence is recognized or remembered. Now, on to the food! On the first visit, I ordered the fish and chips (which was awesome for lunch at work the next day), and an order of their Fish Fried Rice. My god... I had never had fish fried rice before, but now that I have, it will be judged against this! Having had various combinations of fried rice dishes, this one sits at the top! On the second visit, it got the fish fried rice again (of course), and their wings (so spicy!) The food here is spectacular. I'll be trying the Ribs they make on the next visit! The prices were very fair for the amount of food you get. The portions here are very generous! You won't be hungry after eating anything that I've mentioned I had. Is it better than some of the very best cheesesteak spots in the City of Brotherly Love? (Ishkabibble's, D'alessandro's) It is hanging right with them. The steak is so flavorful and juicy. Seasoned just right and a lot of meat. Like among the most offered in the city that is also good. My order is "wit with wiz and provolone, add Mayo and ketchup." The cooking is perfect and watching the griddle cooks work is like watching Basquiat paint. I love the Philly straight to the point type service too. Very direct but always with respect. But I buried the lead, the cold hoagies are also on point! My favorite is the tuna hoagie with all the accoutrements. Just so damn good, especially the mayonnaise heavy moist tuna made like how my grandmother use to make (rest her Philadelphia native soul). I only wish that they offered fried fish or griddled salmon "cheesesteaks." The prices are set for us working class folks to truly afford. Ordered the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes and TBA Wrap (Turkey, Bacon Avocado). The pancakes were amazing and I loved the crisp edges and how the flavor permeated through all the layers. Really crushed these! The wrap was also good, very fresh and the waffle fries were nice. Overall a great experience and great service and vibes within the restaurant.
