It wasn't busy so we were able to go right in and be seated. The server gave us a warm greeting as we entered and asked if we had been there before. She explained the online ordering or that we could walk up to the counter and place our order. The brewed drip coffee is bottomless and self service. They offer lattes and and espresso drinks as well. We placed our order and the server delivered it to our table. We tried "The Vegan" which is a buckwheat batter crepe stuffed with seitan, vegan pesto, vegan cheese, spinach, roasted squash, and caramelized onions. We shared an order of crispy and perfectly seasoned homefries. I ordered a sweet crepe from the special menu which was a buckwheat crepe filled with a blueberry compote, semisweet chocolate morsels, and toasted coconut with candied pecans. It was so rich but so good. We loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the numerous plant-based options and ability to convert several menu items into vegan dishes. We will definitely be back and since we have told so many friends about our experience, will will not be coming back alone!

To go I ordered the winter blues salad for my dinner in my hotel. Highly recommend. Will definitely patronize again when I'm in Albany for business.

On top of that, I asked twice for my plain black iced coffee, and it didn't show up until after I finished eating, which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering it. It genuinely felt like the staff was more focused on chatting with each other than taking care of customers. The vibe from the employees was also not great. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, I got a reaction that felt really judgmental and dismissive, which made me uncomfortable. When I asked for the Wi-Fi, I got hit with a snarky, "Do you not see the sign?" while they pointed at something completely hidden. The whole thing came off as really passive-aggressive. Overall, the service felt rude and unwelcoming, the food was cold, and the drink situation was just annoying. I left feeling like I had spent money just to be treated poorly. I've actually given this place a few chances, because I do like the aesthetics, but the food and service are just not good. The food is bland, and I don't feel like paying $20 for something that tastes like cardboard. ALSO I ordered a kale salad and the kale wasn't even massaged. It was just straight up kale dressing and a few pumpkin seeds. This was $17 by the way.

Most recently my husband and I split a turkey club crepe, French onion crepe and seasonal strawberry rhubarb crepe. All brilliant. 2 years ago when we came through we had the French toast breakfast crepe (which included eggs and bacon inside it) which I still think about because it was delicious, but so confusing that those flavors were so good together. The little salad given with the lunch crepes is appreciated too. This spot is usually pretty busy. You order at the counter, take a number and sit. They have a fridge of tap water carafes you can grab for your table and they will bring the kitchen items out to you. Sometimes there's an in shop singer. It's a nice space with flowers, art and local interest items as decor. The only uncomfortable moment is it bottlenecks a lot by the order counter and can be crowded there.

Listen, 5 stars for this trip is going to sound so bad, but just wait... Ill get there…read more I find this place on Yelp, Hubby and I were in town on vacation for a weekend to get away before I was to have a pretty big operation - so we just upped & ran away one weekend. It coincidentally happened to be prime leaf peeping weekend (which isnt why we went away) but it was Sunday am, we wanted to eat somewhere that wasnt Dunks, so I found this place on Yelp and it looked super cute, so we drove 30*ish minutes to get here. We arrive & Im thinking Oh No, this isnt going to be great, we get in line and are 3rd in line. Well 15 mins has passed and no one has even acknowledged the people in front of us or anyone... Now to set the scene for anyone who hasnt been here, its like walking into a time warp home. Its not like a restaurant, this is literally a home. There is stuff EVERYWHERE, its like a yard sale, dust, books, no 2 tables, place settings, mugs, plates or anything is the same on all the tables, and the woman who was working god bless her had to be easily 75... She was running the food, cleaning & clearing the tables and this place was packed. We ended up talking to the family in front of us in line (who were regulars and in their 90s) and they said they come every weekend, so the woman who works there pulls them out of line and seats them ahead of the people in front of them (they were ok with that) but they had told us how you can buy anything in the place, if you liked your table setting you can buy it. There was so much old rustic decor, the place is friggin adorable, but you can buy it all! I just continued to walk around the place & just investigate all the things. Well 45 mins later we were finally seated and magically a few more staff people arrived to help her out, the whole experience from waiting to be seated, to ordering to actually getting the food and check was easily 2+ hours. The food I expected to then be just meh, but it wasnt IT WAS GOOD, Craig the owner chef was literally in the kitchen ALONE... and lives up stairs too, but you could see him hustling around and just handling all of it. Salad at breakfast at first to me seemed so off, but OMG was it good. All the food was just fresh and really good! This was one of those super memorable experiences, the hubby wouldnt let me buy anything and that was ok, but if we are ever back in the area we are definitely stopping in again! Dont mind the wait (which Im told isnt normally that long - I think it was all the leaf peeping tourists)
