I ordered a coffee and a glass of ice water, the waitstaff told me they don't offer a glass of water, but I could purchase a bottle of water. I assumed she was joking , but she was serious. This is the first dining establishment that would not serve a glass a water. This is by no means a place for a deal, they are overpriced for the quantity of food . The quiche was decent tasting but vey flat and tasted that it was heated by microwave. Just wast turned off overall, especially by the water thing. Won't go back, plenty of other places for breakfast.

I suggest you try it yourself since the odds seem to be in favor of a very satisfying experience. I can confirm that ours was very positive. We arrived about one hour before their 5PM closing on a Saturday. We did not expect there to be many baked goods left at that hour, but we had heard good things about the place and wanted to at least check it out as we passed through the village. The place is very attractive inside which explains why so many of the photos on Yelp are of the interior instead of the food. Not yet being aware of this fact, I too started taking photos of the inside almost immediately upon arrival. There was one worker still on duty and he was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the baked goods. We learned that they open at 7AM and the croissants sell out quickly. It doesn't seem like we'll every get to experience them. Among the pastries that were available, we chose a "cinnamon roll" that looked like no other I'm familiar with, a "snail" (which looked very much like the cinnamon roll with a coiled, spiral shape) with an almond filling, and a slice of a spinach and feta cheese quiche that we were informed had just come out of the oven. It must have been made for the next day's sale. All of this was taken home for enjoyment after dinner. All of it was delicious. The dough for the cinnamon roll and the snail was the same. I believe it is supposed to be similar to the dough used for a croissant. But it was not as flakey as I would expect a croissant to be or as buttery. This might be due to the construction of these two pastries. Being rolled into coils they don't have the opportunity to rise like a croissant. The quiche was light and flavorful. Hopefully, we may some day need to pass through at a much earlier hour.

From substituting the English muffin with a brioche bun that can't stand up to the moisture of the eggs and became a stodgy mess of sickly sweet pudding to the curdled and flavorless hollandaise that left me feeling sick afterward. Adding insult to injury was upcharging for ham that is a core ingredient of eggs Benedict. This was absurd given that already astounding prices they charge. Sides were potatoes which were okay, but it was also served with salad that I was suspect of given the current health issues with lettuce. My wife was equally disappointed with what was supposed to be a French omelette but turned out to be an overcooked, open face western omelette that was more like rubber than eggs. Her $9 blueberry smoothie was delicious though Service was slow with only two other tables occupied when we arrived, although our eventual server turned out to be quite pleasant. Coffee was never refilled and the bill for two people was just...well...arrogant. I guess this place really is French. The two stars are for the smoothie and our waiter. The rest is pretty forgettable.

We all ordered the brunch tower, which included a "fruit salad" that consisted of squishy grapes, sour Granny Smith apple chunks, and canned mandarin oranges. The fruit tasted low quality and unappetizing, and I only managed a few bites. I also ordered the bananas foster crepe, which was severely overcooked. The crepe was so tough that I needed a knife to cut through it, and the texture was far from what I would expect from a crepe. Overall, while the service was pleasant and seating was prompt, the food quality left a lot to be desired, especially considering the price point.

Oh My YUM! Sweet Mimi's is a must when you visit Saratoga…read moreSprings. They do not accept reservations so don't be surprised if there is a wait... even on a Thursday late morning. We didn't have to wait long. I think maybe like 10 minutes. It's a small quaint restaurant on Phila Street not far off of Broadway. We walked here from our hotel (Hilton) as parking anywhere/everywhere in Saratoga can be a challenge. There is street parking right in front of Sweet Mimi's but it'll probably be taken so you should probably just walk. And you'll appreciate the walk to help burn off a few calories of Sweet Mimi's delicious offerings. (And there are plenty to partake in.) We enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Mediterranean Omelette. We did not leave disappointed. In fact, our tastebuds and tummies were so happy with our choices. The omelette actually came with the same challah bread that the french toast was made from. If I lived closer, I'd be buying that challah bread every week. It's so freakin' good! The french toast is HUGE! Really... you should share it. The several bites I took were incredibly satisfying. The cinnamon was just right. And because it was already sweet... we opted to forgo the syrup. The french toast also came with a bunch of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries!! The med omelette was filled with sausage, spinach and tomatoes. I loved every bite. I don't know when we'll be back tin Saratoga... but I will definitely be coming back to Sweet Mimi's when I do.
