Great vibe. Relaxed and relaxing. The owners and staff make me feel like family and the food always hits the spot. Their lentil soup is my personal fav - ask for extra lemon oil on top - super yumm! Firsttie here. Atmosphere is nice. Love the art on the wall. Service was good. Ordered Brie-LT and Mama ganoush. Also got an iced soy matcha latte. The Brie-LT was delicious. Only thing that may turn off people is the cooked lettuce, maybe due to the hot bacon, bread, and melted cheese. The side that came along with the sand which was good. The mama ganoush was also delicious. The soy matcha latte was ok. Next time, I want to try the shway shway coffee, which is Turkish coffee I think. read more

They just opened up and I decided to go check it out. I wasn't there very long but I received very friendly service. My drink was good but I thought it was a bit expensive. It's very clean and very nice inside. They do have free wifi but not a lot of plugs at a quick glance. Hopefully that will change. I would recommend to you to go check it out! read more

Very nice staff who kindly walked us through some menu items vegan and otherwise and made us feel welcome. My choice was the "Fool's Breakfast," which was filling but light. I also got a big vegan chocolate chip-coffee cookie and it was a nice snack throughout the day. I appreciate there are no pesticides used on the coffee beans they use but it was difficult to taste the coffee in the cookie. We used the bathroom before we left and it was immaculate. read more

practically perfect! I was so pleasantly surprised with this place; first, because we were able to sneak in on Mother's Day, and secondly, because we got to try a new creation from the cook. Instead of the usual lemon waffles ($8), he came out of the kitchen & spoke to us about how he was doing a half lemon/half chocolate chip waffle with toasted coconut and pomegranate syrup. Wow, were they delicious, surrounded by some sliced strawberries and topped with whipped cream. We also each got espresso-based beverages (an americano & a macchiato) which were done very well. The location is quaint and offers self-serve water as you wait. The cafe is on the smaller side but features local art, and a great playlist. For a good quality breakfast to come in at $21, I'm more than impressed. I'll definitely be back. :) read more

I am a huge fan of Shway Shway after only 2 visits. Their lentil soup is incredibly flavorful and served piping hot, and I have come all the way just for their amazingly dense, not-too-sweet gluten-free chocolate loaf (and I'm not even a gluten avoider). The service is always courteous and professional, and the bathroom has cloth towels for you to use. I can't wait to try more of what's on offer. read more

Ottawa street does not have enough coffee shops. This place was definitely a welcome addition. It offers amazing service and interesting dishes. I hope more people find out about it and visit so the place stays open and gets cozier. read more

We ordered takeout lunch from this cafe as we had heard great things. All of us really enjoyed our fresh and plentiful meals. There was a glitch with our order but the owner rectified the situation very promptly and generously! We will definitely eat here again ! Try the lentil soup ! read more
