Quick easy in the chinatown strip. Parking was a bit of a pain but after 7:30pm you can find parking meters available across from the complexe desjardins mall. Single person operation, walk up counter / window. Tasty, refreshing on a hot humid day. It's on chinatowns alley street closed off to cars. Scooped up two drinks and some dragon beard candy on the block. Nice little combo for the area. Chinatown is a lot smaller here in Montreal than I realized compared to many others around the globe.

Best bubble tea in chinatown. Cash only. Unique flavours and the bubbles were perfectly soft and chewy. I loved the variety of flavours that chains like chatime don't offer. I loved my mango pomegranate drink and the brown sugar milk tea was delicious. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Spent the day in Montréal and was feeling parched. I ordered a mango pomelo sago drink and it was yummy. It was more like a milk tea consistency rather than smoothie-like, but still good. The mango pomelo yogurt has more of the consistency I was expecting. Quick & friendly service. Would come here again !

Interesting flavors here and quick service. There was a bit of a line when we went in the evening, but worth it!

Great drinks, I got a watermelon crush and a mango pomelo sago, both of which were amazing! Very fresh flavor and there was real fruit in both drinks! Drinks were not too sweet either! Would definitely recommend trying!

I ordered a drink based on the picture with at least 4 toppings. When i got the drink, there was only pearls. I told the girl that it wasn't the right drink. This girl said "if you don't want it, throw it in the garbage". When I ask her if I could have some grass jelly on the side, or a refund, she refused to do anything about it. She started yelling at me in the middle of the street, told me to call the police, and sounded a bit crazy. Another customer in line had the same problem. Other bystanders also chimed in and said this is false advertising. I would've been satisfied with some grass jelly on the side, but this was elevated unnecessarily. After this encounter, all the customers that were lining up went somewhere else. After that, they covered up their sign with blank paper. I would not recommend this place... bad customer service and very misleading menu. I didn't want the drink and did not get a refund in the end.

I love this place. Their mango pomelo yogurt was SOO good. I tried it on my first day and I craved it before I leave, so I went there again to get it one last time ¨ Highly recommend.

I am very glad, I did this time. The L2Lounge looks inviting with lots of seating places, looking quite comfortable. The seats are placed so that each group feels like their own private cubicle. Drawing display on the wall is contemporary and jazzy. I like when I see a place that looks to be bright, well maintained and clean. We had just finished our lunch somewhere else and now ordered one "crème molle" of mixed macha and taro as we are fond of both flavours. Instead of expecting the usual insolent remarks of many servers in that neighbourhood, being not entirely happy of ordering just one item, the question from the lady behind the counter was "do you want one spoon or two?" This is what I call customer service at its best. For this treatment alone, I will definitely come again and bring friends. This is going to be my favorite dessert place in this area. The ice-cream was just delicious, creamy and tasting all natural ingredients, with the price being very descent. There are also numerous bubble tea options that look very appetizing and would be on my order at my next visit. This is a dessert gem, worth exploring.

I also appreciate that all of them also have a display so you can easily know how big they are and if they are a figurine or a keychain plush. The Long Version: I love bubble tea and always endeavour to try new bubble tea places whether at home or on vacation. One Babo was founded in Montreal, QC. I only later learned (after my visit) that it used to be called One More Thé, which was famous for its fat and short cups. I had bubble tea at One More Thé when they had a location in Les Cours Mont-Royal and I enjoyed it. Anyway, the One Babo location I went to no longer uses short fat cups, but just regular cups and they are paper which is the trend these days. Great for the environment, so I support, but less photogenic for sure, lol. The straw was plastic so it pierced the lid easily and I didn't make a mess which I always do with paper straws. I ordered at the ordering kiosk and was surprised to see they had promotional drinks for only $3.99. Well, I was all over that. Haha. I looked at the different varieties and they had a dragon fruit tea with green tea popping boba, which is what I got. I wanted zero sugar and less ice but there wasn't an option to indicate this at the kiosk, but the staff member said I could let her know the modifications and she would make it accordingly. When you say no sugar here, it truly is no sugar! I have found that at most bubble tea shops their base tea is already somewhat sweet so even when I order no sugar, it's still sweet, but not here. The tea was completely unsweetened even a bit bitter. My bad, lol. The popping boba added a splash of sweetness, but in the future, knowing what I know now, I will get a quarter sweet. I still enjoyed the drink and it had a potent tea flavour which I liked. Service was pleasant and the staff pointed out to me that the print on the cup was an Old Montreal landscape since their location is in Old Montreal. What a nice touch. This location is inside a mini food hall called Le Coin Gourmand. Other businesses in the food hall are Hectare Cafe (a Carribean coffee shop), Mel'Oui (a sandwich shop) and Quan An (a Vietnamese restaurant). In addition to bubble tea, they also sell food. I'll need to return to try their food and check out the other businesses (my husband did get a coffee at Hectare Cafe while I was at One Babo, but I want to try their Haitian pastries). Oh and I'll gladly try another drink at One Babo. Hopefully they continue to have some at promotional prices, lol. Review #211 (2025)

Service-wise, it was great. Simple, fast, and ready with a bubble tea in your hand within a minute or two. The store is not a sit-down spot, but more of a small stall where you grab and go. I've been to several Chatime shops in the States, so I have an idea of what to expect and it's pretty much how Chatimes are rated in the States as well. We stopped by while going to nearby Old Montreal and happened to walk into Chinatown. I wanted to see what Chinatown in Montreal was like and truly got an idea for it. It's busy and all the stores are bustling and open crazy late -- just like this spot. This spot is open 24/7, which is unheard of in the other Chinatowns that I've been to in my life. We tried Presotea near our hotel so right away we had an idea of which bubble tea shop was considered higher-end/pricier. This spot was definitely for the cost-saving person who just wants a quick fix of bubble tea. The difference between the two is obvious. I ordered regular milk tea with the QQ topping. I like the QQ topping (which is nata de coco jelly with regular tapioca). It's half lychee jelly and half black pearls. The bubbles did not have the flavor that the Presotea bubbles had. Chatime is simply plain with no taste in their bubbles, which is fine. Tea-wise - I could not immediately tell the difference. However, in the end, each shop is meant for two different people.

The Mango Solar Bubble Tea was super refreshing -- the mango flavor was vibrant and real, not artificial at all. The bubbles were perfectly chewy and added a fun touch to every sip. It felt like sunshine in a cup! The Matcha Red Bean was a beautiful balance of earthy matcha and sweet red beans. The matcha wasn't bitter, and the creaminess paired so well with the chewy red bean bits. A must-try if you love authentic matcha drinks. Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and unique flavors -- I'll definitely be back!
