We came right before the sun started setting and ordered a tarp milk tea with boba and a mango slush with lychee jelly-- both in regular sizes. There's a large size available as well but we already found the regular size to be enormous, so unless you're extra thirsty and REALLY craving boba . . . I'd say the regular is a good amount for dessert. The shop itself just has enough room to order and wait for your drink. There's no seating, but the lack of ambiance doesn't take away from the quality of the drinks itself. The mango slush was incredible. It was evident they used real mango (and a good amount at that!) and there's cut up mango at the bottom of the drink as well. I got less sugar but would recommend going no sugar at all ad the mango itself is already really sweet. My only caveat is that the lychee jelly tasted more like plain jelly than any lychee but it could honestly just be the overpowering flavor of the mango. Regardless, the drink was amazing. Got a Regular Sakura Lychee Slush. Very pretty big, the regular size is a large at most other places and the large is even bigger. It was good, fresh lychee flavor, but a bit too sweet for me. As I was walking around Chinatown, I spotted Presotea. The shop looked so tiny and it had a few people lined up. I decided to check it out. Unlike the bubble tea places in the GTA, there are no spots for you to sit down and sip your drink in the store. You pay, take, and go. It's that compact. It was my first time at Presotea. I pulled the same stunt as my dad does when he is at a new place and can't figure out the sizes. He goes large. I didn't realize that I am slowly becoming my dad as I mature until I ordered a large mango lychee slush here. This drink was a whopping $9.14. It is the most expensive slush that I have every bought in my life! Was it worth it? I'd say yes. I paid using a credit card. The transaction was smooth. While waiting off to the right, I looked at the stacks of empty mango crates in neat columns. This place uses real fruit. I was happy. I looked at the toppings that you can get in your drinks. My drink had cubed mango in it. I saw the woman prepare my massive slush. Presotea uses a Vitamix. I got my drink. It was hefty! I took a sip and it was enjoyable. Although it was hot that evening in Montreal, I felt the need to be on a beach, under palm trees, sipping it. Instead, I casually walked around the area, took my drink to Complexe Desjardins to take in the water fountain, and took it back to my room to continue sucking it down. I took me the following day to drink it all. It was delicious. I loved the fresh taste of mango combined with the lychee. The chunks of mango in the drink created interest with each sip. I love my boba so while walking around Montreal, I happened to pass by Presotea in Chinatown and it caught my eye. It's a small stand so there's always a line. I actually didn't think to stop the first time I passed by it since long lines are a turn off for me. However, I passed by it again in the evening and it was so hot that I needed a drink for my walk back to the hotel and figured it must be good since people kept waiting here all day. The other thing about the line and why it's so long is probably because it just moves so slow. There were probably no more than 10 people in front of me but it still accounted for about a 20-30 min wait... Anyways aside from the wait, they have a series of mango drinks which seems to be their signature item. They also had the brown sugar milk and other typical flavors you would see at other boba shops. However, I opted for their regular mango slush and it was delicious! They make it with fresh mangoes (evidence from the cases of mangos they have) and it even comes with mangos as the topping. All this for a regular size which was about $5 usd. Trust me a regular is enough - their large is humongous! The regular lasted me my whole walk back downtown and I still had some by the time I got back to my hotel. I can see what the hype is and why there is a line here now haha! read more

In Montreal, if there is a line, you get on it because it must be good. My family and I first walked by and there were about 30+ people on line. Mind you, it was 30 degrees and freezing and these people still wanted a cold drink! After lunch, we walked by again and there was about 10 people on line and we decided to wait and get a drink. My cousin had this before and it was her favorite bubble tea place in the area. I had the fresh mango yogurt slush and it was the best drink ever. I've had my fair share of drinks in NY and Presotea is definitely my all time favorite. I wish they have one in NY! The mango was so fresh and sweet. I'm sorry to ruin Presotea's rating, but let me just say that they served me the most awful milk tea I have ever tasted. The line was quite long and it was a hot day, so I decided to order a large (1000cc) four seasons milk tea with boba. The concoction I received had no tea flavor whatsoever and tasted like watered down milk. The boba was okay (at least it wasn't hard), still nothing amazing. It was a struggle to finish that entire liter of liquid I hesitate to call milk tea. My girlfriend got a mango green tea, which saves this review from being a 1 star. It was pretty good (although places like Yi Fang definitely do it better). All in all, given the constantly long lines, I would actually much sooner go to Chatime down the street for my milk tea. Although this comes with a disclaimer: their mango drinks are their specialty, so coming here to order those is probably still a safe decision. However, even if milk tea is not their specialty, serving that four seasons drink on their menu is embarrassing and unacceptable. read more

I've had waaay more than my fair share of boba in my lifetime and always love trying new boba shops - and Presotea has definitely made it into my Hall of Fame for boba places. At face value their boba seems like it comes in on the pricier side, however you get a lot for what you pay for. Their regular sized drinks are as big as a large (if not bigger) in other boba places. They have a variety of options but what they're known for are their signature fresh mango blended drinks. I got their M1 with bubbles, which is their classic mango slush. This is one of the freshest boba drinks I've had in awhile. They blend the mango right in front of you and while the drink is smooth, there are still a few small chunks of mango at the bottom of your drink to remind you that it's fresh. OK onto the other star of the drink: the actual boba/bubbles. The boba had great texture and flavor. The boba had a good buoyancy to them - it was firm enough to hold their shape and provides a bit of resistance when you bite into them but still soft on the inside. They were the right level of sweetness without being too overpowering. 5/5 If you're in the Chinatown area and had to choose one boba place to stop by, let it be Presotea. You won't regret it. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys mangos or even smoothies. read more

This has become my preference for boba in Chinatown MTL. I was once a Chatime fan but Preso is just a notch above in terms of freshness and flavour. The drinks taste just a bit better here at Presotea. It is hard to explain. This past summer I was drawn in by the longer lines. They were intriguing. I'm from the school of thought that longer lines and busy restaurants don't lie. Also seen outside was a stack of empty mango boxes. So I ordered up one of their fresh mango drinks with coconut cream. It was so mango-riffic. The perfect wash me down after a big dinner meal. Usually when down here I go and buy two teas. It works well for a backup for the next day. Just one caution** if you have tapioca balls next day they tend to be a bit harder less chewy goodness than freshly ordered. Overall they stay in the fridge quite well. MTL is getting lots of new bubble tea places. It's popular and people love it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. read more

I felt like having a bubble tea on a rainy day. The time to make the bubble tea was a bit long because of the cold and rainy weather. Although, the result of taking their time making my bubble tea was worth the wait. My drink is a blueberry tea with coconut jelly which I think is number 36 on the menu if my memory is correct. Love the taste of it. My medium size drink is big enough to fill my appetite before I go home to have supper. Overall experience is great and not much to complain about beside standing outside from the terrible weather. read more

It's not that they're bad, per say. Maybe I was just unlucky so my experience was minorly disastrous. I ordered the hot version of the Panda milk tea with half sugar. Waited in line to be called. No probs here. When I picked up the tea, the lid was not properly secured and hot, sweet milk tea gushed over the edge on my hands (T.T) and over the cup. It was a sweet sticky mess. However, I would say that the Panda milk tea tastes better cold than it does hot so next time I'll know! With over 50-some different flavors to try, you'll need more than a few visits to try em all!! Visited presotea today located in chinatown and throughly enjoyed my drink! My go to spot is nos tea but since I was in the area and craving a bbt, we decided to get some bbt from presotea. I ordered a green tea kumquat with bubbles, less sugar and less ice while my bf tried their mango green tea with mango jelly also with less ice and less sugar. Both were very good! Although mine had less sugar, I still found it quite sweet but still enjoyed it nonetheless. They respected the less ice, as I hate getting a cup full of ice and no tea! :) the price is abit steeper than going to L2, but was worth it after not having bubble tea in a while. Never seen a bubble tea cup this big. The slushy drink was made with real mangos, & pretty refreshing. The coconut flavor added another layer to this thirst-quenching drink. I always go there to order either the Mango Yogurt because they used real mangoes and none of those powdered stuff like ChaITime and other bubble teas places. Obviously, best time to go is when mangoes are in season (sweeter and softer mango chunks), but they always have mangoes in stock anyway--great for cravings!
