Oolong Cheese with extra bubbles
Geneviève F.

Ordered Oolong Salty Cream Tea, with extra bubbles. 30% sugar, 30% ice. It was delicious! The taste balance of tea / salty cream / tapioca was great (neutral/balanced). Felt refreshing yet rich. The only downside was that I wish they would let us order larger sizes. I was left wanting more! Cheers! I cannot wait to try other bubble teas from this place. Looking for recommendations :)

Ah yes another bubble tea spot popped up in Downtown mtl! They advertise that their drinks are "half cup full of toppings" and "more topping included than you think". They even give you a spoon. For example, the classic grass jelly milk tea has stuff like beans, coconut jelly, tapioca, raisins; and grass jelly ofc. It's true they have a variety of toppings, making it seem much better in value. Don't have to pay an extra 50 cents for tapioca! The tea flavour is good and the fruity drinks are not bad at all (I got the grape yakult) Since the drinks are all very unique and contains fun ingredients, their revisit value is quite high. Will definitely try some other drinks that caught my eye! This location is small but still has a few tables and service is pretty fast. The employees also wear a shield in front of their mouths, a sanitary procedure rarely seen so kudos to them.

One of many many shuyis we've had over the years. This one is the grass jelly taro milk tea

Shuyi... you're the only other in competition with me for my husband's love. Before I even moved here I knew your name by heart and of the many affairs of the heart my then fiancé was having with you. I didn't understand why such a frugal guy would ubereats 4 bubble teas at a time, consider it a great deal, and slowly savor them over the course of days, hording them like some gremlin with his stash of gold. Prices are average to high but it's totally understandable for how much and the quality you get. Now that I've tried shuyi... I understand and have made space in this marriage. Their drinks are so fresh, and so we'll made for their flavors and ingredients. We get super excited any time they come up with a new idea or concoction and we try to limit how many times we order because we can't support this addiction. Their milk teas are beautifully balanced with enough tea flavor but also being so incredibly smooth. Their fruit teas are crisp, fresh, and basically hit you in face with flavors. They have a large assortment of toppings and innovative combos that just work. Some of our favorites have been signature drink (like a meat fresh in a glass; use the spoon), their mango pomelo meets grass jelly, all of their yakults, fruits party, and the new boba jello green tea. They pack so much in one cup it's more of a dessert than a drink. Coming from LA I had crazy high expectations after hearing about shuyi for so long and the hype was met. Also, be kind to the ladies working here... there's only two of them and they're hustling all the time to get out online, phone, and in person orders. So please be understanding if you feel they're being slightly curt or not in the mood to smile. Anyways, shuyi you'll always have a place in our home! Thanks for getting us through isolating at home and these hard times!

So happy there are new bubble tea places in MTL. This place is a franchise from China and they also have several locations in Toronto. They have items such as fruit tea or milk tea. Everything is made fresh and the drinks are so pretty. The milk teas have a very strong tea flavor. The staff were super nice and friendly and the wait wasn't too long. Their prices are less expensive than presotea. Would definitely come back.

brownsugar tea

I've never had tapioca balls that were so hard to chew and that taste as blatantly awful as these ones do. Really soured the taste of my drink, which was fairly bland to begin with. I'd go again to try the fruit ones, they looked fairly good by eye but certainly not taking any milk teas again and definitely no tapioca.

In the simplest form, this is cheap, reliable, and gets you your bubble tea fix. It's not the best…read morethat I've tried, but it's also not the worst. It's purely that -- ok. Service-wise, it was great. Simple, fast, and ready with a bubble tea in your hand within a minute or two. The store is not a sit-down spot, but more of a small stall where you grab and go. I've been to several Chatime shops in the States, so I have an idea of what to expect and it's pretty much how Chatimes are rated in the States as well. We stopped by while going to nearby Old Montreal and happened to walk into Chinatown. I wanted to see what Chinatown in Montreal was like and truly got an idea for it. It's busy and all the stores are bustling and open crazy late -- just like this spot. This spot is open 24/7, which is unheard of in the other Chinatowns that I've been to in my life. We tried Presotea near our hotel so right away we had an idea of which bubble tea shop was considered higher-end/pricier. This spot was definitely for the cost-saving person who just wants a quick fix of bubble tea. The difference between the two is obvious. I ordered regular milk tea with the QQ topping. I like the QQ topping (which is nata de coco jelly with regular tapioca). It's half lychee jelly and half black pearls. The bubbles did not have the flavor that the Presotea bubbles had. Chatime is simply plain with no taste in their bubbles, which is fine. Tea-wise - I could not immediately tell the difference. However, in the end, each shop is meant for two different people.

The Mango Solar Bubble Tea was super refreshing -- the mango flavor was vibrant and real, not artificial at all. The bubbles were perfectly chewy and added a fun touch to every sip. It felt like sunshine in a cup! The Matcha Red Bean was a beautiful balance of earthy matcha and sweet red beans. The matcha wasn't bitter, and the creaminess paired so well with the chewy red bean bits. A must-try if you love authentic matcha drinks. Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and unique flavors -- I'll definitely be back!

Whether or not it's a typical Montreal summer I don't know, but during my visit Montreal was hot…read moreand humid. I was walking everywhere and when I came across Shuyi Tealicious en route to the nearby art museum it appeared like some sort of desert mirage. I've never been so eager for a boba drink as I was at that moment. As a regular reader of yelp reviews I come often upon those for tea/boba shops and it's always a mystery to me how anyone knows what to order. The menus in these type of places are just plain confusing for someone who doesn't regularly consume these drinks. Shuyi's is no exception. But here's a secret: based on my random order one can't go wrong here even if one has no idea what it is they're ordering. Here at Shuyi Tealicious I ordered up something with Strawberry and Boba and drank it while sharing a nearby bench with an amusing bronze sculpture. That drink was so satisfying that it was done before my stomach knew it and I had to fight an urge to head back inside for drink #2. Yes, I was that dehydrated. These drinks are extremely satisfying, especially if you don't want to be overfilled while staring at art for the next few hours. I might not know anything about this type of place but I did like it a lot and it served to satisfy my craving.

Innovative boba shop in Montreal. Unfortunately I've never seen this franchise in the US, but…read moremaybe it's for the better or else I'll be spending too much on boba! I got their new product "happy taro milk tea" which comes pre-assembled with smashed taro chunks, taro balls, oats, and sago. It was very tasty. This boba shop prides themself in making sure they add enough ingredients/toppings in each drink and also give you the option to do less ice. I love that because I hate paying $5-7 for a boba that is mostly milk tea and 1/3 ice cubes.
