I understand some of the low ratings over the years, but for me, this is one of the better options for airport transportation. My husband made a reservation for the two of us for a ride to the airport. 5:30 AM pickup. At 5:35 AM, with no pickup yet, he double checked the reservation. He had made it for 5:30 PM! He called Shuttle Express, explaining his mistake and our predicament to the dispatcher. The dispatcher checked, had a driver nearby, and in 20 minutes, we were on our way to the airport, easily making our flight. We feel so grateful to Shuttle Express for going the extra mile to help. I've been in the travel industry for over 20 years and I can honestly say this is one of the BEST and most professional ground transportation companies I've ever worked with. I usually read the reviews on Yelp before using a service, however, when my flight arrived at SeaTac and I didn't want to pay $50 for a taxi, I searched the Westin's travel info and they recommended Shuttle Express. I'm surprised to see the bad reviews. However, I do believe them. When I arrived at 618a, I used their phone and there wasn't an answer. After an almost meltdown, I decided to wait 15 minutes and call again. Sure enough, a friendly gentleman answered and helped me. I was picked up at 654a and at the Westin in Seattle at 727. Pretty good deal. The car was clean, I'm not a fan of small talk so talking was to a minimal, and I felt safe with him driving. I was expecting a shuttle, like their website, and was happy to get a car to myself. Considering that the ride was $18, I gave him a $10. Not bad. I will use again. read more

Called customer service at 10:15am I was told another 15 minutes... it's now 10:30am and still no driver. Just tried to locate my driver from the company website and it seems they switch my driver to another driver. Something seems fishy... what's supposed to have been a private ride with a scheduled pickup time seems like this company is switching drivers around to make money and letting people wait. I wanted to give them 0 stars, but the dapper-dressed driver saved the rating. I booked shuttle express for my granddaughter's and my trip to and from the airport. I booked online 2 months in advance, and made a notation that she would need a booster seat. The reservation was accepted, and it wasn't until the day before my trip down that they told me no booster (or car) seats were available. Quite frankly, if that's the policy, it should be plainly and visibly stated within the website and reservation form. By the time I was told, it was too late to make other arrangements. The trip to the airport was relatively uneventful. The trip home? Ok, so I arrived an hour and a half late (snow delay), and once we got to the counter, we sat for almost an hour before the van arrived. Then we were put into the van and told to wait. It was almost 45 minutes later that I went storming back into the counter to ask why we were just sitting. Evidently we were waiting for another passenger. I threatened to cancel the reservation and go thru Uber or Lyft. I understand wanting to maximize revenue by combining trips, but letting us sit in a running van for 45 minutes with a 4 year old who was tired of traveling wasn't my idea of customer service. The only reason I bumped my review up to 2 stars is that the driver, despite my frustration and angry tirade, maintained his professionalism, and not only took our luggage to the elevator of my building, he additionally offered to bring it all the way to my door (to which I declined, I could make it once we got upstairs). I've been a customer for 6 years now, and I'm no longer going to use Shuttle Express. Everyone, use Uber or Lyft instead!!! They're the same price (if not cheaper) to get to the airport at least from the Seattle area. Throughout the years, the quality of service has declined. The past 3 times I have used shuttle express, the shuttle has either come 20-30 minutes late OR not showed up. They have fine print that there's a possibility the shuttle will arrive up to 20 minutes after your selected time, but from my experience it's happened every time I've used it in the past year. It's frustrating when you're trying to make your flights and their pick up time isn't accurate. I've also called them asking for a refund when the driver never showed up, and they refused to give me a refund saying an alternative driver did show up eventually (30 minutes too late!!). I've given my last try using Shuttle Express. I will convert to using Uber and Lyft as my mode of transportation to the airport. read more

Made reservations for my family of 8 prior to going on a 3 week vacation and thought this would be one thing I don't need to worry about when we arrive back. Much to my dismay, after getting off over a 12 hour flight and delays from customs and baggage claim (duh, international flight), we found ourselves with no van. The company decided that since we were not there at an acceptable time, the van was offered to another customer. What?! I prepaid the reservation and you're telling me I have to wait?! After asking for 2 cars to replace the van they told me that they didn't even have any available. So I demanded for a full refund and I will call Uber or Lyft instead. Only then did they scramble to assign us a car and driver. In addition, the folks working the counter were the most unprofessional staff I've come across. Shuttle Express delivered on service, execution and communication. Everyone who was on the bus that day informed me that they had a great experience. I wouldn't give a star at all. 7/16 experience I suggested this business to my family, since my vehicle would not seat 6. Van arrived in a timely manner 2:40 am pick up. We helped the family load in and watched them exit the driveway before going in. 15 minutes pass and my daughter messages me telling me the driver appears to be falling asleep at the wheel, swerving and her 70 yr grandmother was very scared. At that moment I'm worried for my family, I tell her to speak up tell the driver he's swerving & I immediately call the business number waiting for 20 minutes no answer message saying one caller ahead of me. So I sent my complaint through email. I was very relieved when my daughter called to tell me they made it safely to the airport. I recieved a call at 9:13am ( 6 hrs later ) from the business saying they seen I called and how can they help me? I stated the above complaint and she (Falisha) said she had seen the email and it has been forwarded to her supervisor. I mentioned how upsetting the ordeal was and she repeated it was forwarded to the supervisor. I haven't heard back from anyone. I definitely would not recommend or suggest again. read more

If you're looking for the least convenient way to get to and from SeaTac airport, these guys a good choice. Bonus points for being overpriced. I've used them multiple times and never been thrilled, but the last time was the last straw. They may have previously done business as Suburban Airporter? In any case the concept is the same. You book a reservation on their website or call to make reservations, and they haul you to SeaTac... along with a bunch of other people from your general vicinity. So if you're out in the sticks like me, you can count on an extra half hour getting to the airport as they stop to pick up the other people who are only occasionally completely ready when the van shows up in their driveway. And yeah, it is a van, not a limo. What really pissed me off about these guys is trying to get HOME from the airport on my return trip. We call their number as soon as we hit the ground. After about 45 minutes the van finally shows up, and picks up the airline crew that got out to the pickup point half an hour after us. They get priority, and with the crew all loaded there was no room for the little people. About 20 minutes later the van showed up for us. I'm OK with the idea that airline crews get a discount. That makes perfect sense. I'm not OK with freezing my ass off for over an hour so the airline crew has to wait 15 minutes or less. We're now in the land of bullshit. Never again. read more

I travel quite a bit and have been using Shuttle Express for 10+ times already.The only reason why I am still using it is because for 1 person, it's still cheaper than the taxi (if you book a round-trip, you get a little bit more discount as well). For a pick up from your home/hotel to the airport, they are almost always on time (or within the time range that they tell you). However, I had a number of times (or most of the time) which that I had to wait 2+ hours to just get from SeaTac to home (even though I booked ahead of time). Imagine how tired and pissed off you would be getting out of the airport after such a long flight, just having to deal with the longer delay, waiting to get into a shared shuttle. They just didn't and never seemed to get their driver's shift sort out. The driver is almost always courteous and I never had any problems with anyone being rude but....the clear lack of ability to schedule and manage the queue from the airport to the destination is just not cutting it for me. read more

Not that great. The drivers and staff are nice and helpful, but there's only so much they can do when they're trying to maximize riders per van. It's only a little cheaper than a ride app to many places at most times, and it'll take way longer. They say you will wait 25 min or less leaving from the airport, but it's often longer than this, and then if there are other passengers, that adds to the transport time. They also will push rides back if not enough people are present yet. If you're using the shuttle to get to the airport, the pickup window is 40 minutes but even that's conservative. I'd be ready to go 30 minutes before your assigned time and then be prepared for them to come up to 30 minutes after. I'd say it's definitely worth it just to get a ride app car if you're going anywhere closer than ~30 min away if you have only one person, farther if there are multiple people in your party. The vans also don't always account for the amount of luggage people bring, which can cause problems. The one redeeming factor is that when leaving the airport, if no one else has shown up by the time your 25ish minute wait is up, they might send you in a luxury car (once I even got put in a limo all by myself--Celebrity for a Day!) if that's the smallest thing they have at the moment. read more

I would give Shuttle Express ZERO stars if I could. I pre-booked an airport shuttle for my family just like I do all the time. This time it was different. The shuttle was supposed to pick us up at 11:45am, but I never received the normal email confirmation that a driver had been dispatched. I called, and they said there's a 20 minute window, so the driver is not technically late until 12:05pm. 12:05pm came and went, so I called back as I still had not received an email confirmation with the dispatched driver details. The lady I spoke to told me that the driver is running late due to traffic. I asked her what his ETA was, and she said about 30 minutes. This information was not provided proactively. I had to call each time to inquire about the shuttle. Never again will I use their service. They stood me up and left me to find alternative transportation with literally no time for my flight. I'm sorry to say that Shuttle Express needs to review their communication infrastructure and customer service. I know they're spending lots of money upgrading their vehicles...but the real upgrade that's needed is real-time tracking and communication with customers. If we cancel our prepaid reservations within 24 hours of the pickup time, we lose the entire fare, but when Shuttle Express fails to show up to pick us up at the set time, there's no recourse for them except a refund. They just lost a loyal customer! read more

So I was in a motel in Seattle looking to get transported to SEA for a 7AM flight back to Orange County (SNA). Trying to save a few bucks, I opted to go for Shuttle Express vs dealing with a Taxi. Bad idea. They have some positives...their website is mobile friendly. After booking, their instructions claim they will arrive around 430-445AM. So I'm ready to go by 430AM. Then 445AM rolls around, nothing. I call their service center, then they stated the driver is running late. Finally around 515AM, driver rolls in with all seats occupied except front passenger seat. Fine. Afterward, we make our way to the airport, as I was the last customer. Ride is uneventful and we arrived at airport. The driver was not the quickest unloading the bags. Overall, things were mediocre. The most important part was I made it to the airport on time. I don't understand why they set the time to be 430-445 when they would be much later. I guess I have higher standards for shared vans...as PrimeTime in SoCal is always on-time, even with shared vans. I guess I'm asking for too much. For it's price, Shuttle Express is an okay option. Arriving late tho is unacceptable and adds much stress to travel. read more

Getting to and from the airport can be costly and even though I have had pretty inconsistent experiences with Shuttle Express, it's the cheapest option for me. Some tips that have made it not a completely painful experience (note this for the "shared ride" not private option): - Set your expectations low. Remember, this is not a private car service, so don't expect to have a car/bus waiting for you at the snap of a finger. They'll wait until they have enough people going in the same direction - Be patient. Easier said that done when you're waiting for a ride for 30 mins after getting off a 7 hour flight - If you live near a hotel, have your pick up/drop off there; about half the cost of a private address - bonus! Depending on what's available, your ride may be anything from a shuttle van to a Cadillac Escalade - and I'm all for riding in style - the drivers are very friendly and safe In the end, set your expectations right, and you get what you pay for. And this 3 star review only comes after using them several times...I totally can see how a one-time experience with them would be lower. read more

So frustrating. I scheduled shuttles to and from the airport for a family vacation. When scheduling, I planned extra time as the website suggested because we were going to Hawaii. Our driver was late picking us up by 30 minutes and then surprisingly was going to pick up more passengers. He got lost and we spent over 45 minutes looking for another passenger. If we hadn't demanded he take us straight to the airport, 7 people would have missed our flight. Since our return shuttle was already booked, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Huge mistake. Long wait to be picked up (45 minutes at midnight) even though it was scheduled. The driver was all over the lane and sometimes out of it! He picked his nose and needed us to navigate him after missing several turns even with GPS. I am exhausted and stressed out. Avoid at all costs!! read more

Shuttle express is absolutely awful and lack integrity! After waiting an hour, when told 15 minutes, we were finally told our shuttle was on the way. A flight crew arrived and checked in and we thought nothing of it. When our shuttle finally arrived, with in 5 minutes of the flight crew, we were ready to get on and finally get to our destination only to be told the flight crew had priority and would be taking our van instead, so we would have to wait for the next. Another half hour... Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! I will never use this service nor recommend to anyone. I have also written a letter to The airline to hopefully stop using shuttle express. It may not do much, but at least they know they are working with a company with no integrity. read more

Just terrible. Scheduled a 640am pick up to get to the airport. No show. Called them. They said, "Oh we're having mechanical trouble. We can't get to you until 730am at the earliest and we can't guarantee we'll get you to the airport on time for your flight either. But we can refund your payment." WTH! There pickup service to the airport is excellent however the pickup from the airport to home is terrible! We waited 1 hour to be taken home. The previous time was 1/2 hour which wasn't to bad. I will not be using them again. I called and complained about the wait and was told there would be some compensation and a return call but neither happened. Approximately 5 minuets after the young lady asked me to spell my last name because she couldn't find me. As we round the turn, descending slightly downward, we see our home for the next seven days; there she is our driver,Paul, says... The Golden Princess. Wow, she's beautiful! We're really early, so we're gonna have to hang out here on the docks for a bit, before boarding her for our Alaskan Adventure. So it's seven in the GAWD-AWFUL morning, at Sea-Tac airport in Seattle, and we've just got off the plane, after flying all night from Hawaii ( who says flying the RED EYE'S fun? as my grumpy face shows while waiting at the carousel,) and now we gotta find a Kiosk in a parking structure, in an airport, that we know nothing about.... BUT... with the directions that were on line.... there it was, right where it said they'd be. Our friendly girl at the desk said it'll be a few minutes before our shuttle arrives.... and it was! ( the morning so far ain't so bad!) I guess we lucked out, as we were Paul's only fare. So as we're zipping along on the freeway on a traffic less Saturday morning, ( the Seattle-lites must be asleep.... ya think!) Our driver fumbles through a folder at his side and hands us a questionnaire with the heading "HAWAII" on it, and to please write our favorite eating places, and places that we think would be of interest to him, should he visit Hawaii. How's that.... a rolling YELP review... too cool! For our twenty minute ride to the piers, our driver kept us loose and happily entertained, that it didn't seem that long (or short) at all, that before we knew it... see top! I'm happy to say; that what we we're expecting after exiting our flight.... and what we received from Shuttle Express made the start of our vacation cruise a happy one. As the ships horn blows.... We booked a private shuttle to get us down to the pier for a cruise and even confirmed our reservation last night. They were supposed to be here at 10am and it's now almost 11 and they have yet to arrive. A call to dispatch got us the excuse that it was Father's day and they were short drivers. Not acceptable. Update #1 Still waiting and now going on an hour and a half. Customer service can't tell us if someone is in route. Update #2 somehow our reservation got cancelled by mistake. They are making it right by sending a driver. But still. Lot of headache and stress. read more

This service is terrible. It's all shared rides but they won't tell you that. A 45 minute ride up to Everett will probably end up taking 90 minutes like it did for me yesterday. And thats after they tell you that you'll be leaving in 15 or 20 minutes, which ends up being 30. You can't count on this service unless you've got all day. My return trip to SeaTac from Everett was even more of a nightmare. Even after the shuttle was 50 MINUTES LATE picking me up we still made two additional stops to pick up more passengers. It wasn't the driver's fault...dispatch was ompletely unsympathetic to the risk of missing flights...they had more people to pick up and more money to take. Just don't do it people. On May 12 2017, I used the shuttle express service. We booked a round trip. We prepaid with credit card and I paid both of the driver's tip in cash. I noticed on my credit card statement there was a charge for $6.00. The same amount that I paid him in cash. I was very shocked as I have used their service well over 20 times for business. To make matters worse I called the reservation number 3 times and each time I was told a manger would call me back. But no one ever returned my call. If the drivers will steal a tip from me after I already gave them one in cash, what else will they do. It concerns me the quality people they hire and if they even pre-screen their drivers. I finally wrote an email to the email address provided on the website and this is the generic response I received, no apology. Maybe they don't realize unauthorized credit card use is fraud and is a crime. This is the canned response I received: "I have forwarded this information to our accounting department. I am unable to issue the credit for the $6 because of the time that is passed since the reservation was completed. They will be able to credit you back the $6 to your card and it will take 3-5 business days for it to reflect on your card. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to email me back." Looks like they don't care. But I do. It's an easy solution, use Uber or Lyft or any other ride service. Not patronizing their business speak louder and hurt more than words. But this must be already happening as their driver said their business was dwindling and hardly ever busy. Nevertheless, one thing I am sure is that I won't be giving shuttle express any more of my money. read more

This review is for their private car service. I've been traveling every week this month and have been using the car service to and from airport. I absolutely recommend them. The drivers (Evo, Mircea, Dil, Harlin) are always friendly, professionally dressed (suits), and their vehicles are well taken care of and clean. Definitely feels safe. I appreciate our conversations as I feel like I'm getting to know them. Also, in particular Evo has been my driver 3x so far this month and he remembered that I have health issues so he keeps his mask on although the mask mandate has been lifted. I really didn't mind if he does not wear it because I continue to wear my mask, but he kept his on for me because he remembered our conversation when he first picked me up, and I so much appreciate it. That's how awesome these drivers are. Very professional and friendly. There's always bottled water available which is very refreshing after coming off a flight, especially from long flight. And they always have a sign at the airport which makes it easy to spot them right away. I appreciate these little things that they do for a great experience. Highly recommended. read more

How are these people still in business? My relative had to wait 2 hours for the shuttle to appear and pickup fares. This was for a Seatac to Redmond ride at 9 am Friday morning. He sat in the outside garage where it was 30 some degrees, even though they had a space heater that customers huddled under. He asked twice what the hold up was and they said they were waiting for another fare to show up. Do not recommend as there are better services that can be used. I will never use this service again. Nothing like being abandoned at SeaTac after 10:00pm. The agent at the desk outside the baggage area couldn't care less what happened to us or if I ever got home. No wonder Uber is kicking their a$$. Now I know why so many people have jumped to Uber. As I stood outside after waiting for 45 minutes, I downloaded the Uber app, put in my info and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes. That Uber Prius was toasty warm and my Uber driver was awesome.
