I had a wonderful experience with Shutters239 this morning. The technicians who came today were extremely kind, acknowledgeable and professional. They fixed the shutter efficiently and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. I really appreciate their professionalism and friendliness. Definitely recommend! read more

After Hurricane Ian we decided to upgrade our metal hurricane panels. This was a pain and involves too much labor putting up then taking down. Angela showed up gave me a quote and military discount. I was told it would be several weeks before installation. The new county permit accordian shutters were installed in less than 1.5 hours. Now it takes 5 minutes to close and lock all of these new shutters. The old metal panels takes an hour just to get them out and ready to screw into the exterior wall. I did not get hurricane shutters for the patio sliding glass door because repairs may be needed. read more

Very Happy with this company and quality of our Lanai screens and window protections. I did an incredible amount of research for different vendors in SWFLorida before choosing Shutters239. I had other companies come out and give me bids as well. I did not chose based on price, as this only leads to usually your worst vendor. Shutters239 to installed about $20k worth of hurricane protection on my Florida vacation rental. The whole process was easy going and professional. There was an issue one day months later with the screens, I called, they came out immediately and they rectified the problem. read more

On Thanksgiving, my Lanai Hurricane Shutter broke down. I live in a Villa with a shared wall and don't get a lot of natural sun light into my home. Therefore, I was really anxious to get the shutter working ASAP. Upon calling numerous companies, I was told that the soonest appointment would not be available until January & February 2024. Obviously, those companies don't need to be mentioned because they're getting some Killer business. But I will sing the praises of Shutter 239. Upon calling them, I encountered very amicable and accommodating staff. I was given an appointment for 2 (Two) Weeks out; not 2 to 3 Months! Dave & Alex of Shutters 239 arrived on time and replaced the motor quickly & efficiently. Their price was much lower and reasonable than the above mentioned contractors. I highly recommend "Shutters 239" (239) 851-2511 . read more

I am a "real" customer and also a former general contractor and hard to please. We purchased a very wide (145") electric roll-down shutter for our 3-panel patio/lanai sliding door area from 239. We had hurricane rated windows elsewhere so that was all we needed. Prior to selecting 239, I got bids from eight, yes eight vendors. 239 was not only the most cost effective, but Frank the sales manager was awesome - just a great guy and truly knowledgeable. He's been in the business for quite some time. Also, Victoria, who seems like she runs the place :-) is fantastic - she is organized, super sweet, and accommodating! Armando and Nos the installers, were meticulous. They did an excellent job, obviously knew what they were doing, were super friendly, explained a lot of things, laughed and cleaned up completely after themselves. Jarod (J-rod?) the electrician is a super young, very smart and very chill guy. Another guy that did meticulous work - he did the electric install exactly the way I asked (and of course within code). So, in summary, in going with 239, we definitely did not sacrifice quality or customer service for price! I couldn't recommend Shutters239 any stronger! Don't waste your time calling around, just go with them! You won't be sorry. You can email me if you need any additional info or specifics. wrickjr@gmail.com! read more

I'd like to start this review by saying we are not from the area, therefore, are very cautious when hiring unknown contractors. After getting prices we hired Shutters 239 to install 3 mesh shutters on the lanai. The salesperson/owner seemed to be congenial and fair. They required a down payment to order the special made shutters which is understandable but still a bit unnerving. We put it on a credit card which would have given some recourse in case the company did not show up to complete the job. The installers showed up as promised and were very friendly and professional. At the end of the day the project was almost complete with the exception of the city inspection and trim covers that still needed installed. The installers asked for the balance due which we were willing to pay minus a retainer until the job was complete. When the installer called the owner to see what they should do, the owner got irate and rude and said he wouldn't accept anything but full payment. If we didn't pay in full they would uninstall the shutters. Wow!! Five minutes later the owner called back and said to hold $500 until the job was entirely complete. Two work days later everything was done and the $500 was paid. Too bad the project had to end that way. Up until that point we had a positive feel for the company. There is another review with the same experience so it wasn't just a "bad day" reaction. We are the owner of a service company in PA and would never ask for payment until the job is complete read more

Before considering Shutters239, consider the cost of their labor for maintenance and/or repairs. I had this company install shutters three years ago. The product and installation were very good. That being said, wasps sometimes build nests in the shutters, which causes some shutters to freeze up. This, course, is no fault of Shutters239. However, a call for service is billed out at just under $189 an hour, which seems excessive. Yet, I did agreed to the rate. What I wasn't told is this: any labor over an hour and ten minutes gets billed for another hour, which is most definitely excessive. Consequently, a crew was here for 1.5 hours, but Shutters239 billed for 2 hours of labor. Why should I be forced to pay for labor that was never applied? At a minimum it, this seems unfair. So when you shop around, before dropping a chunk of change on storm shutters, make a point to inquire about the labor rates and billing practices. read more

If you are looking for shutters for your home, look no further. We secured quotes from a few other companies in the area, but after reading the reviews of Shutters 239 and their pricing and professionalism, we opted to give them our business. This company is fair, adheres to their timelines, is professional, installs a high-quality product, and delivers on their promises. Thank you Team Shutters 239! You exceeded all of our expectations! read more

Shutters239...flat out OUTSTANDING! I was scammed by a "hurricane shutter" company post IAN. Deposit paid and they never did the work( over a year). I saw a news clip of Shutters239 helping those of us caught up by the scam artist company and reached out. To sum it up, they showed up ( a rarity in this state it seems), took $0 deposit and installed AHEAD of schedule. Great communication during and after the project. 5 stars are not enough to give. Great Great Job Shutters239 and thank you. read more

After speaking to a representative in the company I received an excellent offer over the phone I was shocked when the installers arrived an said they could not provide the service! They said it was a miscommunication between themselves ! So a phone shuffling occurred and pretty much sorry audios happened. This company is the most unprofessional, even after explaining I am disabled senior whatever you do don't get this company read more

Great company to deal with, from sales to installation everything was seamless. Gave me a date for installation and Armando and his tech showed up that very day, they were very professional and personable and did a great job installing the shutters. The electrician showed up the following day according to schedule and he also did a great job. read more

WOW - this company does what it says! Great experience working with this company - seriously YES they are all that & a bag of chips. Just bought a house & knew nothing about hurricane shutters! Found on line sent a message, received call next day, told pricing for cleaning, scheduled, they showed up on time & did an excellent job. Price was exactly as quoted. Jesse & Brian explained about how these shutters work, what I should do to keep them running properly, what to watch out for. Also if something went wrong - costs associated with new motors, new shutter panels & so much more. This company really is one of the good ones! Thanks Shutters239 for being honest, reliable, & super friendly! Sweet Tea cheers to this team! read more

A couple months ago I had an electric shutter that needed repair. Josh and Rene showed up, diagnosed the problem (a bad switch) and promptly fixed it. Tried to coordinate getting an estimate. Good not even get past first base. This is not a good company if you are a snow bird.. I tried to get an estimate and they said I had to physically be there in order to get an estimate. I had 3 other companies do estimates without me there, as all they needed to do is measure the outside of the windows for accordion shutters. Requiring me to fly to Florida just to get an estimate is poor business practice. read more

Renters reported shutters did not work. No one was aware that they had a separate switch behind a ficus tree. The technicians came out and traced the power, finding the hidden switch. When they turned it on, the shutters worked! I was expecting a motor replacement. They were so professional and kind, will always recommend them. read more

I have older rolldown shutters that had begun to stick, and finally one refused to go back up. Jesse came out (same day that I called!) and worked diligently to get it operable, and explained the issue to me. Now it works better than ever. They were professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Coupled with reasonable charges, they will be the first people I call should I need services or replacement shutters. I sincerely and highly recommend them! read more
