Worst experience ever. The short story is we signed and paid the 50% for what we were told was going to be a 3-6 month start to finish job and it ended up being finished 27 MONTHS later. Longer story: Our house is 2000 sq feet there are a total of 10 standard windows, 3 small bay windows, and 6 sliding glass panels. Not a huge job. Total cost just over $50K. We signed August 2022 (before Hurricane Ian) and paid the deposit. Hadn't heard from them so 6 months later called to see the status. Turns out with a divorce in the company and turn over we were forgotten about and the windows weren't ordered because no one from Window Geeks contacted our HOA back. So now we were going to be backed up with Hurricane Ian delays. July 2023 windows arrive for install in Sept should take 4-5 days. First they showed up unannounced while we were out of town to install in July but returned in Sept. One installer showed up instead of two. One window was missing. After 1.5 weeks 9 windows installed but they decided they couldn't all of a sudden install the bay windows. One slider had been damaged so wouldn't open so they ordered a replacement. Took a month of back and forth to find out the house bracing was good and bay windows installed Oct 2023. During this time I called to say how unhappy we were and the manager called my wife to yell at her because I complained about him. Took them months to admit they broke the missing window when they first arrived but forgot to reorder it. Finally Feb 2024 the missing window was installed. Nov 2024 the damaged slider was replaced. I spoke with the owner about how outrageous our experience was and he offered a 10% discount. Which by the way was less than our original cost was going to be. When they forgot to order the windows originally standards changed so we had to purchase higher rated/more expensive windows. Also originally we were going to do 0% financing through the company. Nov 2024 that was no longer an option. So his 10% discount didn't even add up to the savings we were going to have. Absolute horrible experience. read more

Extremely disappointing. I would say from start to finish, but we, unfortunately, still aren't finished. From mismeasurements to damaged product installed. Plenty of excuses when there is communication, but if you use them and have any issues, be prepared to always be the one following up. Installers are nice and do the best they can with what they have, but for the price you pay, there shouldn't be close to the number of issues we have encountered. If I could choose again, and we will for our doors, I would never even consider this company or recommend them to anyone. read more

I spoke with the owner 5 weeks ago and he assured me I was a top priority for him and he was sending his best man out to look at what needs to be finished to complete. Every time someone from FWG's comes to look at what the previous guys did they point out a bunch of mistakes they made, but they would get right on it and get back to me when they could complete the job. Not a word from anyone so my question is what is the problem? Are you coming back? They started in September and then disappeared. I have no idea how these people are in business. I wish I didn't have to post a bad review. When I met the people with FWG I thought I had found an honest and competent contractor... WRONG! I sign d contract in March if 2023, I expected to wait due to hurricane Ian, I even would tell the employees I'm not the only house on the block with damages. Fast forward to today, I am going almost 10k in debt to fix the damages they did to our home! In nov16 they hit a waterline in my wall. I thought no big deal they said they would take care of it. NOPE! They dragged me on and on for over 10 months and now are saying it's not their fault they hit the line.apparently they feel the builder of the home was wrong (1978). Not only did they do damage to my house with this water, but they have been to my house eight times to correct the poorly installed windows that they've done. I still have one window that the frame is warped due to the water. I would highly advise you get a copy if their certificate of insurance, this company seems nice, BUT when push comes to shove, they will not do anything to help you, I asked for their information and their response was they were not giving me a blank check to do my repairs, all I want is my house back into condition. It was prior to hiring them. I don't think I should have to pay 40k for windows ( still owe5k & have no problem paying it, I offered several times, they did the work just haven't finished it) and 10k for damages. Not for a whole new kitchen, just the remediation for water, and to build the boxes for the cabinets that THEY ruined... I've heard people have this same problem, it seems to be their motto. Very underwhelmed. There was a disconnect between what their salesman and I had agreed upon and then months later the installers wanted to do something different. I insisted that they do what we had agreed upon, and eventually they did, but not without first arguing. They applied for a permit weeks after our contract, and then I was called to immediately send a email letter of authorization from my HOA, while their gal waited at the permit office. Seemed to me that sort of thing could have been worked out earlier, without emergency. To my knowledge there was never a permit inspection after job completion. No follow up, no contact. I'm not 100% sure how things work here in CC but my experience with this company was less than my expectations. we had all our old windows replaced with hurricane resistant windows 2 years ago by Florida Window Geeks. They were very professional and took care of all permits and the HOA approval forms. They took great care to clean up the broken glass from the old windows as some of them had to be ripped out. I hired Florida Window Geeks in January 2023 to replace 6 windows and two sliders with impact windows. Let's not even focus on the mistakes of the salesperson in writing up the order and the complete lack of craftsmanship of the installation team - numerous mistakes, misses, and generally sloppy work. Rather, let's focus on that six months later - post installation - I am still waiting for them to complete the job so I can get a final inspection by CC. There has been a complete employee turnover TWICE during the eighteen months I've been waiting for them to complete my project. After posting the foregoing (modified) review I received a call and an e-mail from the owner, Joe. I believe he was sincere when he indicated "Moving forward, I am personally dedicated to ensuring that your project receives the attention and care it deserves." And make no mistake, every person I've dealt with at the company has had a professional demeanor, were friendly and, with very few exceptions, seemed to be competent. But none of them are there any longer. So whatever is going on at the company, with the high attrition rate, the job never gets done. No one at Window Geeks has "history" or "continuity" regarding any particular project. All of the foregoing notwithstanding, my project does seem to be in the final stages of completion. So I'll wait and hopefully get my final inspection from the City within the next few months. And then I'll update my review again. read more

Final update. After over a year we finally have 3 functioning windows that we paid for! 1 of The original windows installed by Window geeks required massive effort to even move the window. They had factory rep come out and he ordered replacement window 1/16 smaller than the original. Months went by and the window finally came in but they told me it was broken! Re ordered and months go by. 2nd window is installed and does not fix the issue. The technician then ran the screws in further on the sides of the window frame and that fixed it! So over 6 months waiting when all it needed was for the screws to be tightened!! I could not recommend this company based on this, and the fact that the owner couldn't even be bothered to reach out to us to explain or apologize. read more

The hurricane shutter we ordered was delayed due to the manufacturer and not anything under the control of Florida Window Geeks. The communication about the delays could have been better but Florida Window Geeks improved that aspect since I had posted my initial review so suffice to say they really turned this around. We had Taylor and Chris as our installers and they came right when they said they would and were extremely thorough and courteous throughout the installation process. They took time to really explain things as far as how the screen worked and what we should expect during an actual hurricane should we have one. We realized we needed an extra remote since my office is detached from the house and would need to be able to put the screen up and down from outside or inside the house and Taylor and Chris dropped off and programmed the second remote for us the day after we called to inquire about it. We are extremely happy with the installers, the quality of the screen, and the latest follow up by Florida Window Geeks. Window Geeks installed my hurricane resistant windows, and they are amazing. I love the windows, I can open them into my house to clean and they are beautiful. The noise level in my house has lessened which is great. It took some time to get them, but Joe LeLoup the owner always got back to me almost immediately, when ever I had a question. From start to finish, it was a smooth transition! Loved my sales girl, the install guys, and of course the owner! The windows are great, and about 8 months after install I had a tough time getting the windows open, as they are heavy and i am not that strong. Joe sent out his most experienced installer Randy and he fixed everything for me. He continued to work on it until I felt they were easy to open. I refer him to all of my friends or anyone needing windows or Lanai doors etc. Joe has been great! Even when I was a pain! Have tried to contact business 4x to get an update on window order status. Every time I call the front desk says your salesman ( Craig) will return your call which doesn't happen. I originally went with window geeks due to the high ratings on social media. I can't even get an update from the company in the last 3 months regarding my purchase. Apparently my 12k order doesn't warrant an update or even a response from my salesman (Craig ) after inquiring 4 times within 2 months. Was going to use them to replace my front door and additional windows now using Home Depot or Lowe's for the remaining items needed. Don't recommend, your better off with a box store then being treated like an inconvenience and burden to the sales team and the business. read more

It's December, and I signed a contract to replace windows in my condo back in mid May. Geeks were supposed to get HOA approval and proceed with the job. From cc'ed emails, I can see that Geeks communication with HOA was poor and not made in a timely manner. I called Geeks for an update ca. Sept and they couldn't find records of my order at first, but later found them and said everything is ok. It's now Dec, and I just called Geeks for an update. They couldn't find records of my order at first, but did find them after about 10 on hold. The rep said he would have somebody call back with an update. I am not really interested in moving forward with Geeks because they have been so unprofessional in handling this order and with communication. So this is an update to my post about 12 months ago. (March 2022) Almost a year had passed and our 3 windows were finally installed in March 2023. One of the windows was so tight in the frame that we couldn't raise or lower it! Foolishly thinking that my issue would be quickly resolved, I paid for all of the windows in cash.... That day! The manufacturer sent a rep out who ordered a window 1/16" smaller than the original order. After numerous follow up calls (on my part) the new window has indeed arrived. They also had a screen replacement for us that had arrived damaged in March 2023. I contacted the owner (Joe) to tell him our story and ask for his assistance. One of the reasons we bought thru his company is because he also lived in the Cape. He assured me that he would have his manager contact me and set up an install ASAP. So today, the employee arrives and proceeds to install the replacement windows, only to find that one of the windows was broken! That's amazing to me since our salesperson (Jeff) told us whenever windows arrive at Window Geeks, they are inspected BEFORE going out for installation. Oh, and they didn't bring the promised screen either. Needless to say, my opinion of this company has changed 180 degrees. I signed a contract with Florida Window Geeks company on 6/30/2021 to replace 9 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. At the final day of installation, installers left without completing their work in workmanlike manner. They left behind tiny pieces of glass scattered on both bathrooms floor and in one bathtub causing cut feet and one broken windowsill. All mesh in window screens were too loose, causing them to wave vigorously with the slightest breeze. Panels in sliding kitchen door bump into each other making loud noises when trying to be opened and closed, rendering them dangerous and useless. Before they left, one of the installers instructed me not to touch the kitchen sliding door at all after installation. Damaged done to floor long both sliding doors need to be repaired, too. The gap under both sliding glass doors on the outside remained unfinished for almost 6 months after installation. Some repairs are completed, however, the kitchen sliding door and the floor along both sliding doors still has not been done after a year later. The manufacturing company has replaced the kitchen sliders a total of 3 times, but the problem persists and now they want the contractor to finally step in and fix it. According to their report "The new doors are having the same problem. They are banging at the top of interlock." I spoke with Jeff, the general manager, Tim, the other manager, and the owner, Joseph L. many times regarding the situation. Finally, the owner assured me that Tim will get in touch with me the very next day, but he didn't so I contacted Tim myself, he also promised to get in touch with me the very next day, but never did. Throughout this time, I have repeatedly made many attempts in person, in writing and by the phone to settle all matters allowing the contractor to complete the project, but to no avail. This has been the most unprofessional and stressful experience I have had in my entire life. read more

I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. I received a call as promised for the measuring appointment and the installer confirmed and was on time. During this visit, the process and timeline were reviewed and questions were answered politely. They set realistic timeframes, so customers can be surprised if the product comes in early (which it did!). The only action I needed to take was to move furniture and objects so the installers could work. They even offered help with this process (within reasonable limits). The installers paid close attention to details, professionally provided on-the-job training to a newer employee, and answered all my questions. received a call after my review from the owner Joe. They immediately sent someone out, however the finisher stated they can not finish the sliders that the doors need to come out to be properly done. I called today because had not heard back on how they plan to proceed. I asked to speak to Joe (owner) but he is out of the country. Spoke to Michael project manager and he admitted that the install should have stopped at the point when damage was found but is now saying 3 months later that it is not their responsibility and not in contract. Also went as far to say its not like its in my living room...So basically if there is anything that needs to be done for doors to be installed properly they claim it is not their problem. Very concerning. So I could not even get fixed if in fact is not their responsibility which should have been a simple solution. So the doors are partially in, they need to come back even though installer said and signed what "finisher needed to do to replace the rotted wood" First issue started with scheduling as the company stated they scheduler was let go, then other internal employee issues. Then tracks did not come in so delayed my install several months, then and still no screens, took days off work no shows for installers, then several reschedules for finishers and still not complete. Contacted by other individuals who are and have had problems with this company and are interested and prepared to move forward with lawsuit or even a class action. The product presentation was thorough and extremely informative. Their products are top notch. Many other companies presented us with lower, incomplete sloppy bids. I want to start this review, by saying I know how many people can be leery of companies in this day and age of scammers and I too was one of the when I first called Florida Window Geeks (FWG), especially when you are investing thousands of dollars for windows. Well, FWG put me at ease from the first call to the two day installation. We set up the appointment and Monica showed up on time and spent a good amount of time walking us through the whole process, as well as all of the options, and talking to us about all of the benefits of Impact Resistant Windows (ours were the original windows from the early 80s). Monica has a great personality for what she has to do - talk the people off the ledge for redoing their house with new windows. She did warn us that it would take several months for the windows to be made and delivered and ready for installation. She contacted us toward the due date and informed us that the date would be pushed back due to issues at the manufactures (only pushed it back about 2 weeks). We had another visit b one of the installers a week after Monica's visit to get exact measurements on all windows. He was in and out so quick that I really didn't get a chance to talk with him (he gave me his name, but I forgot it). When the windows were delivered they called and set up a date for the installation. On the date of the installation they texted us (my preferred way of communications) to let us know when they would arrive. Our installer, Jordan, arrived on the first day of installation and explained that they were spread thin and that he was going to be solo on the job. I got to chat with Jordan several times during the two day installation and really enjoyed his sense of humor and whole demeanor. Great guy. And talk about a professional - he was methodical with each and every window. To say that we were pleased with our decision to go with FWG, would be an understatement. We had our power storm screen installed 2 months ago. We have called at least 8 times to try and figure out why they aren't getting a final inspection approval from the city. They have failed to provide the city with the electrical contractor's information. There was no electrical contractor here; just the two techs that installed everything. We call their permits gal who never has answers and she defers it to some guy named Ben. Ben never returns the call to me and calls my wife and constantly makes excuses as to why the city doesn't have the electrical contractors information. We are contemplating calling the state as we don't think they used a legitimate electrical contractor to do that portion of the work. If it's not finalized this week, we will reach out to the state to inform them of this company. Insist on any/all license numbers and names with this company. Update: they did get an electrical contractor to file his permit and this is finally done!!! read more

I had Monica do our estimate. She made certain promises. My recommendation is get everything in writing. Now the installation. The "team"they sent, did a terrible job,it had to be redone.Did I mention the window casing was cracked and it took 3 weeks to replace it.Now the finish. I called Michael he kept blowing me off for 2 weeks,telling me he would be there and not show,no call. I felt like he was blowing me off and hoping I would go away. He finally showed and asked if material was left and it's was not. After reading so many great reviews I decided to request an estimate. The Window Geeks sent a estimator out and he seemed very knowledgeable. He measured all my windows and told me he'd email my quote to me by the end of that week. It's been one month and I've yet to receive that quote. I've had other companies come out and one of them actually gave me his quote before he left my house. I've called window geeks three times requesting my quote. Each time time I got the the runaround and was told someone would call me but no one ever did. They have my name, phone number and email address. I suppose my takeaway from this experience should be to look at this experience as a blessing in disguise. To be grateful this happened before I signed a contract with them. Who knows what grief I could have possibly gone through trying to contact them if something went wrong after they started work in my windows. They may be a great company to some but they really dropped the ball with me. I will be hiring a different contractor as this obviously doesn't want my business. read more

Sales people were pretty decent, and they talk a good game, but their install crews cannot back it up. Numerous troubles with communication, putting us on the schedule without actually telling us until the day before. People forgetting specific details we made sure to talk about, multiple reschedules, breaking property at my home (and not disclosing it), failing to again keep appointments, failing to follow through on making things right after complaints. well this is my second review, first review was one star also. i wrote a review before windows where installed being so frustrated how long it was taking. in my opinion this is one of the worse company's I've ever dealt with. They just finished my windows about a week ago. it took 10 months to have them installed when they said it would take 3 to 4 months. I signed after the hurricain but they blamed a lot on it. installers where great and windows look good. some minor scratches but on the whole I'm happy. never had I dealt with a company with so much miscommunication!! You always have to call them they don't call you. I have three more sides to my house I'm getting done, one side every year. I'm getting quotes now for the sides of my house and I will not be calling them. read more

My experience using Florida Window Geeks was exemplary. I purchased two PGT impact sliders as well as an Advisar front entry door. Everyone from the sales personnel to the installers was courteous and professional. The installation manager, Austin, was very thorough in making sure everything was properly installed and looked great before leaving my home. Timing from purchase to installation was very reasonable. I have spoken with several different window companies and Florida Window Geeks by far has had the most helpful staff when deciding which products were best for my home.
