We went with blinds that close all the way shut. I had never seen that before where the bottom panel sits flat making it really dark. We paid half our deposit & waiting game started. Vicki did say that it would take about 4 weeks. Closer to about our 4.5 week mark, I called & our blinds had just come in over weekend. Again, I was able to schedule a time that week for their son Cam to come install them. She mentioned it would take about an hour to an hour & a half. Nope, that guy was quick. He had it done in less then an hour. We are so satisfied with our blinds. You can tell how great quality they are. Service from the whole family was great from start to finish. He measured our 7 windows we wanted covered, showed us samples that he brought of actual shutters as well as a portfolio of pictures, matched our paint with the can we still had, drew up a price estimate in about 5 minutes, and gave us an expectation of about 2 weeks. They ended up being ready in just over a week, and he came over and had them installed in just over 90 minutes, after originally mentioning up to 4 hours. They are perfectly level so they don't swing when left open, he installed magnets so they stay closed, the seams are exact, and the color is perfect. Also, it's just a kind detail but he always took his shoes off before entering our home. Vladimir was incredible and we would 100% recommend him to our own friends and family.

Our order seemed to get lost for awhile but then mid-December, Jerry called and we scheduled the installation which was finished just before Christmas. BUT in January, they called again, about installing our order! We told them that it was already taken care of. I was so glad to find Debbie at Divine Window Decor and she did an awesome job ordering the Vertiglide for our sliding glass door and the motorized honey comb shade for our front window. She went above and beyond customer service, even taking in account for the type of throw rug to be placed in front of the sliding glass door to be sure there was enough clearance for the rug when the Vertiglide was to be closed. Customer service update. We are still loving our Hunter Douglas Duette PowerView blinds. We…read morerecently had our 25 year old windows replaced and my handyman husband was successfully able to take all the blinds down, replace the batteries, and put them all back up again without any problems. Or so we thought. We had an issue with the kitchen blind not lowering all the way. I followed the instructions on my App, watched a Hunter Douglas video and a YouTube video but couldn't solve the problem. We called the Portland Window Coverings store and the person who answered the phone was very helpful and tried to walk us through all the steps we'd already taken. The blind still wouldn't cooperate. She said she'd get a service technician out by the end of the day or the next. By 6:30pm Friday night we figured we'd have to wait until tomorrow or the following week but just as I was about to take dinner out of the oven, Joel (the actual business owner) called and said he could come by right away. In less than 10 minutes Joel fixed the problem (I couldn't have fixed it via my App as it turns out and the videos weren't correct either) and our kitchen blind was functioning as it should. We were thrilled beyond beyond belief to have the problem solved. And on a Friday evening at 6:30pm, WHO DOES THAT? Thank you Joel, you are amazing and the best example of customer service EVER. I highly recommend Portland Window Coverings for your window covering needs. Yes, it's an investment but look at the customer service response after eight months!!!
