I haven't done the actual lessons for my son as I wasn't sure if he's still too young but we've done a couple of the open gym sessions and he's had a blast. Great idea, and awesome place to bring your kids to get them into skiing or snowboarding before bringing them to the mountains

Instead of giving into their frustration about lack of progress and hating messing with their bindings etc, I decided to book some open time at Shredder to work with them directly on the fundamentals. This was a perfect setting where they didn't need to worry about being bundled up, their gloves etc and could instead just focus on walking up the ramp, getting comfy with their bindings and working on leaf turns, heel stops, etc. The staff is very helpful and engaging and would squirt the artificial turf to help them go faster after they started to get better. A small complaint is we wish the ramp were longer as it's harder to combine multiple turns in a single run. This is a great place during spring / summer / fall for a quick review on the basics prior to heading to the slopes. They also offer camps, summer camps, seasonal lessons, etc. We brought our own gear but they have skis snow boards, boots and helmets available.

I purchased new boots in August and returned on 10/26/2025 to get them heat molded. Jason greeted me right away with a friendly handshake and went above and beyond to make sure everything fit perfectly. He took the time to listen to my concerns about my right foot, explained the process, and made precise adjustments until the fit was just right. I learned a lot about my boots just from chatting with him--he's professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his customers. Service like this really stands out. Thank you, Jason, for getting my boots mountain-ready and making the whole experience enjoyable. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this location to anyone looking for ski gear or expert service!

Our family of five skiers has spent a lot of money with Epic over the years (three growing kids)!…read moreWe've alway had a good experience until today, when I needed to exchange a set of brand new poles with the tag still on (just a tiny bit too tall for my growing teenage son, needed to exchange for one size smaller). My husband bought the poles last weekend, without me present, and of course he no longer had the receipt, as husbands are wont to do. I figured they have our purchases on file so I went in for the exchange. One staffer was super helpful, quickly grabbing a new set of poles in the size we needed. Unfortunately when the redhead went to do the exchange, she accused me of returning used poles because the rubber on the handles was slightly scuffed--I said no, they were just purchased last weekend and the tag is still on (with the snow was bad as it's been this year, we've hardly been up at all!). I said--that must be how you sell them, because you can see this new set I was just handed was also scuffed up on the handle. Of course after that she found the order (under my phone number not my husband's) but it feels pretty crappy to be accused of something when you're just a loyal customer trying to get the right size gear for your child. I have to say, I'll think twice before visiting this Park Meadows location again. Maybe Aurora will be better.

First time in Epic Mountain Gear today while visiting CU Boulder. I've been wanting to get a pair…read moreof boots for a while. The sales were great so I sat on the boot bench and Everette came right over to help. He was amazing. He assessed my bare feet, discussed what type of terrain I like to ski, measured my socked feet, discussed the intricacies of my particular foot type and then was completely honest about not having too many options in my size this late in the season. With that he found a boot he did have in my size that might work and worked me through every part of the process for trying to sort out if they were the right fit including trying several different insoles. At the end of the day the price was right but the boot was just a little too stiff at the top, which he agreed with. He never tried to sell me on anything and at then end gave me a road map on his opinion of what I should be looking for. He spent a generous 30 minutes plus with me and I learned more from him than I have in 15 years of visiting ski shops. We did end up purchasing a great Rossi ski jacket for my son but I wish I could have purchased a pair of boots from Everette because his service was truly exceptional. I haven't written a review on Yelp in years, but had to call this place out. Thanks Everette!

I was a little hesitant to shop in a store owned by Vail resorts, but they do really know what…read morethey're doing and are focused on selling a ton of ski gear options. They also had a sale (mid-march), which was actually pretty significant. I was in the market for new ski pants, tried on a bunch of options and settled on a pair that was marked down from $250 to $160, not bad. I then had to stop myself from purchasing other cute fleeces and gear that I really didn't need. I had an easy time trying on and checking out. Overall pretty great experience.

I was a welding student at Lincoln who just graduated. I was there for just over a year. My first…read moreever class was taught by Austin Sleep. Austin was very helpful, always excited to teach and created an atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm for welding. He got us excited for the jobs to come and for what we could do with welding. Needless to say, I enjoyed my first two classes with him and improved very quickly. My third class is where things got messy. I understand that a lot of the time, classes will go from 110, to 120 then to a random class, and then back to 130. The teachers are like "that'll happen." I think this shows how unprepared this school is. WEL120 is a stick welding class. Going from 120 to 140, which is TIG, is majorly difficult. We never even learned how to fill up a groove with stick before we had to tackle flat, horizontal, and vertical fillet welds. Then, with only 2 weeks left, we were expected to also learn flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead groove welds. My entire class was discouraged. Many dropped out or flunked out. If everyone is struggling, something was obviously done wrong by the teachers. Austin was by far the most helpful. Dillon, Todd and Lopez are all condescending and very obviously fed up with teaching. Todd always looks at you like you have two heads, and Dillon always gives some snarky remarks back to you when asking a question. Yes this is blue collar work, but a teacher should be fully engaged in helping the students. The classes move too fast. 5 weeks for each process and type of weld. 5. For classes such as fabrication, MIG pipe or any plate classes, this is a good amount of time. But 5 weeks to learn 3 positions with stick is not a very long time. Especially if none of the instructors are willing to help. I had to watch youtube videos the whole time I was here to fully grasp the concept. They also cut you off completely from any new metal the day you graduate. I could understand this if they actually taught you how to use a plasma cutter to cut up old scrap. But no. They say "let me know when you need some cut" but then are never around or refuse to help you cut it. All together, I say to the reader, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! You can learn as much here as you can getting a helper job somewhere. If all you want to do is fabrication or structural welding, it's okay. But if you actually want to learn how to pipe weld, good luck.

--WARNING PLEASE READ-- This is by far the worst…read more"school" I have ever attended, if you can even call it that. I expected to learn how to identify and fix problems in an automobile like the school advertised. Instead I got lazy instructors who couldn't be bothered to do their job. Have a question? don't bother asking the instructor cause he is either heavly intoxicated (drunk), asleep, or just didn't bother to show up at all. I am not exaggerating when I say drunk, there were at least 4-5 times an instructor came to class intoxicated and more times then I can count not even showing up. This doesn't go for all instructors, but it's a good 85%. this is a joke of a "school" SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING BETTER! OR A DIFFERENT SCHOOL! worst 40k I will ever spend in my lifetime.
