Terrible Service. Dropped my material off, never received any paperwork, invoice, certification or anything. Called a week later and they have no record or clue about my drop off. Do not use them! read more

They say they are open for walk ins but when you drive there the door is locked, won't answer, even though it clearly says walk in hours are Monday through Friday 9 am - 3 pm Complete joke. Also too expensive. Should not be $75 for the smallest possible bin read more

Shred-it - Shredding Services Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Sales people are Americans and speak perfectly good English. Once they have sold their product, customer service reps are now in another country and they barely understand English. Local Branch has literally NEVER called me to schedule, confirm, cancel, say Hello or nothing to this nature. American sales lady told me I called the wrong department and transferred me back to the same call center I had just complained to her about. read more

Very expensive. While they have a great reputation, I recommend you shop around. I found someone for less than half the price that was every bit as professional and reliable. read more

I would give this company 0 stars if that was an option. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to schedule a service (Since May 20th!) because the site says there are no services available. Not only can they never get ahold of the Denver office, there is not direct number to call for the Denver office, just the 877 number. When I was finally at my wits end and requested to cancel the contract they told be there would be a $550 early termination fee. $550!! This company is absurd, and I've still not been given a solution. They keep telling me "this is unacceptable and we've escalated your ticket" I've heard that three times now. Wish I could have all the time back I've spent on the phone and get out of this awful contract. Please do not use this company read more

I scheduled a shred event with this company in February, for June 14th. In March I received a Docusign document to solidify the event and promise to pay. The document was unclear and it made it sound like I was going to pay 2X as much as the original quote. So, I sent an email to my rep asking for clarification and I received another Docusign to sign. I again sent an email asking for clarification, and I followed it up with a call. I called again and left another message. Then I received an email stating that my event had been canceled because I did not sign the document. I called to see if I could reschedule, and I was told I would have to deal with Cory MacKenzie. I told them of the previous experience with Cory MacKenzie, I did not want to deal with him. This person tried to help me, but was unable to schedule it because he said the date was all scheduled. So, I told them I could not do that. Then about 2 weeks later another nice speaking sales person, asking why I canceled my event. I told them and they fiegned shock!! "Oh my we wouldn't want that to happen!!" Then they checked the date and said because it is on fathers day, (Not true, Fathers Day is on June 15th) they could not schedule the event, that I had scheduled in FEBRUARY!!!!! Since that time I have made 4 attempts to lodge a complaint against Cory over this issue and they will not get me to anyone who could address the complaint. This is in my opinion a horrible company read more

Spring Cleaning 2012! This place is great, you can bring a box that's copy paper sized box and they'll shred it for you for $5 per box, tax included! If you have a file box, which is double the size of the regular copy paper box, guess what? It's $10 to shred. They shred 3.5" floppy (old schoolwork and pictures), CDs, old pictures, coiled binders...etc. The only thing they ask you to not keep in your box you bring is the 3 ring binders, since the shredders have a hard time shredding the 3-ring bone part of the binders. Other than that, shred your past away! They'll mail you your receipt once your items have gone through their shredder, usually the same day your stuff will get shredded and you'll receive your receipt in about 3-5 business days. Love it! read more

Shred-it - Shred it office - Shredding Services Near Me - Denver, Colorado

After scheduling an appointment with them and paying extra for speedy service this company was a no-show! When I called customer service to get help to find out information as to why they did not show up I was given the run around. I was promised follow up calls that never came. I ended up calling 5 times and told they would reply within 48 hours. Even the managers were not helpful and did not return calls. Save yourself the time and problems and do business elsewhere. read more

We called this business for a quote but never used them. They sent us to collections when we never used them. This is pure crap. Don't, I repeat, don't use this service. They want you to pay them for giving you a quote and not doing anything! read more

HORRIBLE experience! We had multiple pickups scheduled that they never showed up for and never called to follow up. When we called customer service, we were put on endless holds, only to be told that they could schedule another service, which they did not show up for again. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else! read more

I really wish I could go to like -10 stars, that is how awful this company is. So we used them for a while , and every time they came there was some issue. Driver forgot, not all picked up etc. So we decided to cancel the service. They said we could not . We cancelled anyways , and what they did is after we cancelled they would send the driver , to drive by our home office , not stop , so I guess they could say we still used their services . Now they sent us to a collection service , for the times , AFTER we cancelled, and their driver would drive by . This is a group that is especially nasty and companies like this do not belong in the business place . Save yourself the hassle , buy a couple of shredders. read more

The truck is constantly blocking parked cars. There are at least 3 places this massive truck can park as to not block customers in. Please be considerate of other people's time. I tried to call the 800 number on the side of the truck and was disconnected twice. I will continue to call until I reach someone. read more

Easy drop off, friendly folks. About 8 shopping bags and I only paid 22.50, which was excellent considering UPS wanted nearly $150 and Office Max wanted $1.00 a pound and I had nearly 100 pounds, plus they would only take 50#. I am very grateful they are there, with office drop off hours. Just FYI, they only take CHECKS on M-F, 9-3pm. Still, WORKS FOR ME!!! As I purge my cra......papers from the last 25 years, I will use them again and again!! THANK YOU and stay safe!!! You are appreciated! read more

I had four or five boxes of files that I had to get rid of. These guys have a flat $75 fee for up to seven boxes of paperwork or files and they ended up being a great deal. Some of the local OfficeMax stores would shred for up to a dollar a pound which would end up being much more expensive. read more

Horrible company. Horrible customer service. Beware! Charged twice for same service, confirmed that refund was due, but never received. Finally disputed on credit card with still no response by company. Beware using this company, you will probably encounter a problem with no customer service to resolve it. read more

Was impressed with the company when we signed up for their services in 2011. Over the past year, quality of service, professionalism, and organization has deteriorated. I would not recommend! Examples: -After replying to sales email about electronic media destruction, the sales process was great. The follow up and organization was terrible. One request for additional pick up resulted in over 2 months of missed and changed pick up days. It was a mess and took more time to deal with daily/weekly customer service calls than it would have to recycle/dispose of the electronic media ourselves. -Driver asked a person on our staff for a $100 tip when picking up! This is not just unprofessional, it is outright despicable. -Fine print! Check your contract for the fine print. You are automatically rolled into new contracts without notification or having to sign!!! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. No one ever called me back after multiple calls to the customer service line requesting the distribution center to call me back with a drop off and pickup time. All but one customer service agent got attitude whenever I would express my frustration and would only tell me that someone would call me back. Finally went to cancel my order after 96 hours of no follow up (originally told 24-48 hours) and was told that there was no order ever placed. read more

I started with shredit almost 2 years ago and at that time had no issues with them. I had a problem with a pick up and called in several times and still have not had a pick up. I run a small business and can not sit here in my office all day waiting for a pick up. I have had one customer service person very nice and the rest were not so helpful. The supervisor was horrible. When I signed up it was not a annual contract and I could cancel at any time and if I didn't need a pick up I could call in and cancel and not have to pay it. With this new system they put in place in August 2021 the service is not reliable and the customer service sucks!! I am not one to write a bad review on one but this place has gotten to big and one can not talk to the other. read more

I brought two 13gallon bags of paper, credit cards, and entire files. Within minutes an employee helped me shred the bags and it was done right in front of me. Total cost $10. It took me more than a year to accumulate that much sensitive paperwork. Definitely not buying another $100 shredder that breaks down after a year. I recommend walking in between 3:30 - 4:30, which is when most of their trucks are coming back to base. They'll be able to shred your stuff in front of you during those hours. Otherwise, they'll take it from you at anytime and keep it in a secure room until the trucks return for the day. read more

Pretty simple, drop off boxes full of stuff to be shredded for $5 each. Fast and friendly experience. They also destroy hard drives but I don't think they do it whole you wait. If you have them come to you it costs a lot more per trip. read more

Such great service. I had about 5 years worth of paper (receipts, account numbers, etc). They easily unloaded my car, securely measured the amount of material I have, and got me on my way. It was a super easy process and they were kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend them for any shredding needs! read more

I have been trying to get my box emptied since november. With this company all I seem to get are empty promises and long hold times while they "attempt" to get ahold of the local branch. 3 different refrence numbers from multiple calls and yet I still have a mountain of papers waiting to get shredded. Quite literally the worst service. If my company provided this level of service to our customers then clearly we wouldn't be in business. I truely hope whoever is in charge sees this because this is simply pathetic. read more

Chaos in their billing section, I have gone round and round with this company over charges that were not ours. Had them pickup our box and they still charged me. 4 years and they still give me the run around when I have sent them the emails and documented every call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Feels like a friendly service but they are NOT! Beware of false billings on your account. read more

I signed up for them to pick up the shredding at my business. Huge mistake. They only show up on time half the time, and when they don't show up I get no phone call or email to let me know they have changed the date of my service. I regret not doing more research before I signed the contract. I will not recommend them or renew the contract I signed. read more

I used the service to shred 7 years of old files for my company. They were very customer focused and explained the security process so we were clear on the procedures. Pricing is per pound, but they do offer a discount if your weight is over a certain range. We opted to view the shredding at $20 extra. The shredding area was clean and organized, with safety conscious employees. We were done in 30 minutes - total time included the upfront security check, paper work, shredding, and payment processing. We also received a certificate of receipt. I would recommend this company for shredding services. read more

Very nice staff. 1st time shredding but I feel like they could streamline the process just a bit. You have to check in at the front desk then get back into your car and drive around back to drop off the paper then drive back around to the front to get your ID back. I appreciate the security factor but still feel there could be a better way. read more

We just dropped off boxes of documents to shred. The website says $10/box but we were charged by the pound instead. We ended up paying an extra $22.50 as a result. It's not so much the money, although that's the pits, but the fact that they don't follow their own information. read more

Horrible company since they made a change to their accounting group, no response or very long response time on resolving issues for a large university. They didn't take my six months of complaints seriously, I was forced to change vendors because of their accounting departments gross lack of follow through. read more

Warning- All Veterans and Military and Seniors, Shred it does NOT offer ANY discounts no matter how small the box is or how little a discount. From a business point, dealing with these people was the worst experience of my life. The sales people and dispatcher that I dealt with certainly give lying to the customer new meaning. I scheduled on site work to be done two weeks prior to my appointed day, only to find out that on my particular day they would arrive at my site from 4 - 6 pm for a 2 hour job, I was told I would have a 2-4 pm hour window. I choose to cancel for the day and work out a better time. Re-schduled for 2 days later, given a window of 2- 4 pm, but told by the sales person, it would probably be 2:30. Ok great, but not so great, I am at the site at 2:30 no Shred It truck, called my sales person, I was told everything was on schedule he should be there soon. I waited 1 hr. & 15 min. called and talked to the dispatcher, he promised me the guy was on his way. By now it's 4:20 he finally shows up 4:25. Only to hear about the problems he's had with his shredder all day and that it wasn't working properly, and may not be able to do the job, but would give it a try, both he and I were told by the dispatcher another truck would be by to help. Of course it was only lip service with no intent of sending another truck, another truck never did show up. So we limped along with what we could do, only the shredder finally broke and the job couldn't be finished, by job was only 2/3's done. The driver I was dealing with said almost all of the Shred-it trucks are in bad shape and that this was a regular occurance. If I would of been told by the dispatcher that they were having truck problems, I could of made a decision to cancel for the day or continue to wait, but instead I was held hostage with the waiting game and no explanation of the problems my driver has having. My driver assured me that dispatch knew of his problems. I can't even tell you how mad and upset I was. I will not use them to shred anything in the future. 2 hr. job ended up being 4 hours. I should send Shred-it a bill for my time. Unhappy in Denver!! BH read more

They may provide good services to their customers, but they have no regards to how they affect those around them. They park illegally in bike lanes. They leave their engine running LOUDLY. They don't care or apologize for it. Terrible community member. read more
