We went to this restaurant because we wanted something light on a hot summer day. The flavor of the ramen bowls we ordered was good enough for us to enjoy it, even though it was nothing extraordinary. The price was also reasonable given the high price level of Viena.

My bowl was okay. Everyone in my group had the same feeling about their food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I'll remember in fifteen years. As a person who is an avid eater, I think I'll skip on this. It was a good eat, but was the food good or were the ingredients just fresh? The service was good. The waiter was really nice too. I sat outside so I couldn't get the whole vibe, but it was a fun time. PSA, the bathroom is pitch black.

Wonderful, friendly service. The ramen was very tasty. We ordered miso ramen, shoyu special ramen, and seafood ramen. We truly enjoyed our dinner, and definitely recommend this restaurant. They take reservations, so try to make one because they get busy. We were tourists in Vienna, and the servers at Shoyu were some of the nicest we encountered.

I think this place is probably the closest you'll get to an authentic Japanese ramen. The shoyu broth itself is a bit sweeter than what I'm used to. It feels like the ramen noodles for most shops in Europe come from the same supplier. It's a little bit drier and less chewy than ideal. The egg and chasu could use a bit more flavor too. Overall, it's a perfectly good bowl of ramen if I'm not nitpicking.

Ramen. Ramen. Ramen. The soup is very flavorful. I had the shoyu special and it has a lot of different topping and meat. Great place to have lunch when touring around.

Delicious ramen joint near the center of Vienna. We stumbled into this restaurant on a freezing day making it that much more better. Coming from Los Angeles I have pretty high standards and their ramen exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back next time I am in town!

Very tasty Japanese restaurant in the first district with reasonable prices! Main types of dishes: ramen, udon, soba, rice bowls (don buri, gyu don, etc.), and katsu. I came across this restaurant during lunchtime and - despite it not having any reviews yet - wandered in to try my luck. I was really happy that I did! It's not a sushi restaurant, so don't go in expecting rolls, but rather a ramen place. Food: excellent. I ordered the Ton Katsu dish (pork cutlet) and my friend ordered the Shoyu Ramen. My food was nicely presented, the pork was juicy and delicious and it was served with cabbage, salad, pickled vegetables, katsu sauce, and rice. Really perfect. I had been craving Japanese food like this since being in Vienna for a weeks. I can't speak for the ramen, but it smelled great and my friend said it was very tasty. I also had a bowl of miso soup before my meal, and although it was seasoned a bit differently than I'm used to, it tasted fantastic. The service was prompt and nice, and the decor was attractive. I sat inside the restaurant because it was too hot outside. They do have some outdoor seating along the street. Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for some awesome Japanese cuisine!

I always try and eat here at least once each time I'm in Vienna. Food is excellent and so is the service. Highly recommend!

While waiting, we struck up a conversation with two new friends, one visiting from the US like us, and the other a local from the neighborhood, so we decided that we share a table to save time. Hearing the local's strong recommendation reassured us that we were in for something special, and they were absolutely right. Despite the late hour, the service was excellent, efficient, and attentive. Our orders, the Tonkotsu and Wan Tan Ramen, arrived fairly quickly. The broth was rich and deeply flavored, perfectly balanced without being overly salty. The noodles had just the right spring and chew, firm enough to hold their texture, yet tender enough to soak up the broth beautifully. We stayed until closing, but the staff never once made us feel rushed. Since we shared a table with 2 others, they allow splitting the bill into 3 transactions which was very accommodating. We had the perfect late night comfort meal, especially for our Asian palates craving familiar flavors while traveling through Europe. Mochi Ramen Bar truly hit the spot and was worth every minute of the wait. Our new local friend mentioned they also have their own vending machine for those looking for a quick fix, so we went to check it out afterward and it had a good selection of the restaurant's ramen bowls, ready anytime you crave it.

However, when we got there they said their kitchen was backed up and that we'd have to wait at least 30 minutes. Instead, we looked online, crossed the road, and found this place within a block. This is a no-frills Chinese eatery. They have 3 - 4 tables along each wall as you enter. There is a central aisle that takes you up to the counter for to-go orders. The staff is all Chinese. They provided a menu that had a mix of Chinese, German, and English. We were thus able to find a few dishes to share. Three of us split some noodles, fried dumplings, and one or 2 other dishes. We were hungry enough to finish everything. It was quality food. Prices seemed fair. They seemed to do a steady stream of take out as well as what appeared to be locals just stopping in briefly for a bowl of noodles or the like. If you like Chinese food and are just looking for something simple and quick, this is a good choice.
