Taste wise it's worth 4 stars but definitely not overwhelmingly great. The seating is nice and I think it's overhyped. The reason for 3 stars is because this place is totally overpriced. You have to spend at least 30€ per person to get somehow full. What to skip: Green peppers, spinach What is worth a try: cauliflower, surf and turf, spicy salmon, fried salmon in miso sauce and chicken karaage. Note that all portions are small and largely priced.

I usually try to eat the regional food while traveling, but I was missing sushi and saw on the Michelin guide that this was the place to go. The service was amazing. I came here by myself and sat at the bar, which was super neat, as I love watching people cook. I felt very welcomed by the host and the chef, and they both gave great recommendations. I had the Sake Wafu, which was unbelievable and probably my favorite dish out of the three. I then had the Suzuki Aburi, which was also very delicious. Finally, I took the host's recommendation and got the Poppy Noodles for dessert, which ended up being a very pleasant surprise as they at first seemed like a strange choice to me. Everything was spectacular. I will definitely be coming here again.

This is a good date night spot if you dont mind sitting right next to the open kitchen. It is on the higher end of average price-wise, but I'd say the food and ambience are worth it. Everytime I walked by this place, it was always busy and you are lucky if you get a table without a reservation. We were advised to reserve a month ahead of time especially in the summer and fall season. The recommendation of the house was the Dragon Roll and Tan Tan Salad. We went for the Be My Friend Roll and Chicken Karaage. Get the chicken. Beware that rice is extra.

LOVE this place. Their sushi rolls are amazing. It's usually pretty crowded and it's not easy to get a table, therefore reserving ahead is a wise choice. Sometimes though you can get seating spots on short notice at the "bar area" but I wouldn't count on it and mostly these seats are only for small groups of people. Either way, one of the best places to eat sushi in Vienna!

What a great restaurant. Very nice cozy atmosphere inside and pleasant terrace. Service was very friendly and fast in the right way. The food was nothing short of great. We had the carpaccio to start delicious! We ordered sushi nigiri plate excellent rice and cut of the fish. I even enjoyed the shrimp which so often is tasteless and consistency of flour, here it's very well cooked and great taste. We also had spicy roll, nice !!! Great experience will certainly be back.

Best wasabi in Wein Warm and quick service High quantity chopsticks Can't miss CREME BRÛLÉE

    The cooks, working their magic...

It is without a doubt a really nice and good restaurant, far away from the cheap Asians ones you can find everywhere. Their Cuisine is full of flavors and style, and since they are very successful I would advise you to make a reservation if you want to make sure you can be sited. To be honest, it would be a nice place to take your love one on a date! I particularly enjoyed watching the talented cooks prepared our orders behind the bar/kitchen! The food tastes very good, and is well presented too. Plus, their crème brûlée with the Matcha Green Tea flavor was perfectly made, like by a French Chef pâtissier: with a crust of sugar caramelized on the top (therefor warm), but cold within. Bravo. But somehow we had to wait too long for our orders, and it was too expensive for the size of the portions... To be honest, I was surprised to see Japanese food being so... well, fatty. And I am not talking of the crème brûlée ;)

    The dragon roll.

Wow. This place was phenomenal. Every single dish we had were so tasty and well prepared. The calamari was lightly fried to perfection and the karrage chicken was delicious. Their deep fried Mochi roll was pretty good, but the holy grail was the short rib marinated to perfection. It was absolutely amazing.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Vienna. Always booked out. A bigger place would be an improvement. Keep up the good work!

This is as good as it gets for me as far as sushi goes in vienna…read more i used to live around the corner from here and i miss eating here on almost a daily basis, i discovered my love for sushi here and it is still the best sushi i've tasted so far in vienna and there are no rivals as far as quality/price is concerned. i've eaten sushi in over 50 different locations/resturants in vienna and as far as quality and craftsmanship is concerned, this is the best. not even the super high cost of akakiko rivals this. the fish is the freshest and literally melts once it hits your tongue and the rice is cooked to perfection and is not saved cold, a giant mistake when many resturants make and save sushi, your not supposed to refrigerate it, it needs to stay at room temperature or else it gets hard as a rock and tastes bad. they also have many other dishes with special dishes from different asia countries which is also amazingly good and spiced evenly and is always not fried to much and is fresh, which being from southern italy, i can only appreciate the freshest ingredients. this place delivers everything, the service is perfect and the waitress who also owns the restaurant (i think its a family business) is nice and speaks german very well but not so much english but they do have english menu's. the best part is it's cheap, if you eat the sushi in house you pay 5,20 for a 10 sake sushi with 4 maki which is an extremely low price so automatically the sushi must suck, it doesn't, if yo order it to be delivered it costs 12,20. so if your looking for a great place for great asian food and amazingly high quality sushi i suggest this place, you will thank me later. i can not write enough good things about this place, even after not eating there for 7 months (i have moved to the other side of vienna) the quality remains the same even after they added a sushi maker to already existing older gentlemen with the dark hair bowl cut who makes it still and generally still does. i can guarantee you will not find food this good / fresh / cheap anywhere else in vienna. try it and let me know.

We had SUCH a lovely experience here and we were so lucky to have snagged a table!…read more My friend and I had been shopping all day and were ready to take a break and get some dinner. We walked in and were told we could stay downstairs and eat, or go upstairs and try that restaurant- which was more sushi based and Asian infusion. We decided to go upstairs as the food sounded delicious and the views of the cathedral were amazing. We were seated quickly and ordered spritz's and wine. The menu all sounded amazing, but my friend and I both decided to get the build you own stir fry with chicken. The food was delicious and fresh, and it was definitely nice to eat after eating a lot of bread and cheese throughout our trip :) The server was wonderful and so helpful. We were so happy to end our day here on such a great note!

No Watered down, hotel pan-Asian fusion restaurant with a partial view of the cathedral. Shockingly included in the Michelin guide, despite the many, many red flags of being a hotel pan-Asian fusion restaurant in Vienna. Service is relatively slow, so allocate ample time. Standouts (positive and negative): Pea and Mint soup (4/5): Tasty and came with a small, cheesy gougere-y bonus. Baby spinach salad with caramelized eggplant (0/5): Aggressively dressed (WET) spinach with a few small chunks of eggplant scattered throughout. After some attempt to scrape the immensely salty miso dressing off each leaf, we gave up and pushed aside the 21€ salad.

Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food. TOURIST FRIENDLY…read more My friend and I were visiting as tourists when we got caught in a heavy rainstorm. With no idea where we were or where to eat, we stumbled into this restaurant, completely by chance, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. Despite being walk-ins, with drenched clothing, they quickly found us a table, offered menus, and made us feel genuinely cared for. We noticed many of the staff spoke multiple languages. The service was prompt and attentive. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, talented, and gracious...always smiling and checking in. I've traveled quite a bit around the world, but I can honestly say I've rarely experienced service this warm and genuine. The food was absolutely delicious, well-prepared, and seemed authentically made. The restaurant itself had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I'm incredibly thankful to the team here for turning what was initially a soggy, stressful afternoon into such a memorable experience. Highly recommend!
