Then left the event without speaking to anyone with their tail between their legs. After we contacted them about a partial refund they refused and blamed us for their own mistakes. This issue ultimately ended up costing me my job because this made me look unorganized. Save yourself the trouble and pick about reputable and reliable AV company

I am not a normal yelp-poster but felt compelled to share my experience. I booked microphones and…read morespeakers for a corporate event. The booking experience was pretty easy over email and AV NYC seemed responsive. Price was more affordable than a vendor I had used previously in the city so I thought I would give it a shot. However when I arrived to the venue I realized the AV never arrived even though they were supposed to be set up an hour prior. When I called the number to inquire where the equipment and labor we booked was, Dane from AV NYC said we hadn't paid. I knew this wasn't right so forwarded him on the paid statement we received. Somehow even with their own document he didn't know what we ordered. After multiple phone calls, he indicated they would 'try' to arrive in time for our event. That was a point of unnecessary stress for me for an important event. They did eventually arrive in time, set up only for me to tell them they had set up in the wrong room. Post-event it took three weeks and multiple follow up emails to finally get a response that they apologize for their own issues. I would not use them again. Coordinating events is hard enough but having this amount of confusion for something pretty simple was incredibly stressful and unnecessary.

Drove over to brooklyn and picked it up only to discover a dead battery and no charger. Normally, this is where a review would go south, but after calling and explaining the situation, they immediately sent two full batteries and chargers in an Uber at their expense right to our venue in 30 minutes. Thats unheard of customer service. Will gladly recommend and do business with again.

He shows up usually early, he has everything we need, his prices are VERY reasonable, and he picks up on time and is so efficient that I barely have to do or say anything. If you're looking for a sound system for a band, or maybe a talent show, or maybe just a party where you want to hook up your phone and play a playlist off of Spotify, Aaron can hook it up. He also offers his own expertise if you need him to stay and work all the equipment. I really can't say enough good things. I'd 100% recommend Gold Pants Rentals to friends and family, in fact I just recently did and he obviously did not fail to impress.

Was told that the product just arrived at the warehouse and would be shipped out that day. Strike 2 -- dont show an item as in stock if you didn't already have it in stock. Two days later, still no email or tracking info, so I have to call again. Strike 3. This time was told by a different guy that my order was refunded because it was out of stock. But I check online and the product is showing as in stock still with a price 2x what I paid (now in line with the rest of the online sphere's pricing) -- idk how many strikes to count for these events but it would be several. Why am I being lied to? Why have I had to reach out every time instead of proactive communication from the retailer? Why was my purchase price not honored like any good retailer would? On top of that, the guy I spoke to the second time offered to have the guy from call #1 contact me as he was the one running point on all this of this and of course I never received a call. Bunch of lying cowards at the fulfillment department of this company. Everything you dont want in a customer experience. Would never spend a dime supporting a business like this.
